Beautiful yurt, well decorated, and feels lived in and comfy. Janine was great host, I would go back again. And it’s so close to Florence but the location feels like you’re far from anything
This location exceeded expectations. It was a lovely yurt surrounded by nature. It was warm, and we'll furnished, total glamping. The host was friendly and inviting while letting us do our thing.
Perfect location to explore Florence. We loved the rope swing. Janine was a gracious host and the little camp site is perfect for a quick getaway.
We reserved both a campsite and the yurt, for our group of 7, and the property exceeded all our expectations. Having the sand dunes right across the street was an incredible perk, but the property itself was just as magical—beautiful, peaceful, and wonderfully private.
The yurt was remarkably spacious and came equipped with a clean bathroom and kitchenette, making our stay easy and comfortable. What made the trip truly special for our family was the outdoor atmosphere. Our children spent hours playing in the woods and couldn't get enough of the rope swings.
We will definitely be back! Highly recommended for families, glampers, or anyone looking for a memorable coastal getaway.

I was only at Janine's camp spot for a single night but it was perfect for what I needed. I liked the different levels for eating and various places to choose to pitch my tent. I loved the included swing :)

Very quiet, a little hard to find, but thank you for good directions. My GPS sent me way past Lake Street so had to circle back. I was alone in my car and felt safe. Parked right by portal pottie so I didn't have to walk the 5o ft in the middle of the nite. Am thankful I had a quiet, safe place for the nite.
Such a great spot for a small family to rest and unwind at while exploring the nearby towns, dunes, beaches, and tide pools! My kids loved being around the ducks and feeding them. My younger son loved playing on the swing. And last but not least the host family is very nice and a pleasure to be around while also giving you your own space and privacy.
Lovely yurt that feels in middle of forest although main road not far away. Friendly ducks, cat, and dog. Expensive patio/deck are super nice too.

This was such a peaceful and private campsite. Absolutely beautiful property in Florence. My kids loved building a bonfire and of course the rope swing was a major hit. Super close to the beach and downtown Florence. Five stars!
The ducks were so cute! There was a duck crossing sign so we were expecting but it was still a treat when they showed up. The sight was very private, clean and secluded while being just five minutes from a Safeway. While being secluded it was very easy to get to. Also the portapotty was very clean and smelled very nice. There was rain while we were staying so we couldn’t use the rope swing but it still looked very fun. Five out of five stars.

I stayed 1 night at Burgess Backyard and had a very pleasant experience. Lots of space with a fire pit and sweet swing. Janine was very helpful and responded quickly. Overall recommend for anyone passing through the area 🙂

Alder Grove Campsite
Jainine’s place was perfect for what we needed. We spent one night there.. we were greeted by a few friendly feathered friends (ducks). They were a treat. 😀 We knew we were dry docking and it’s a beautiful spot surrounded by woods. The space was easy to get to it with the instructions. However, the site was perfect for our 16 foot teardrop anything bigger probably a bit challenging..
The access is super close to the 101, although you will hear traffic on a busy night. The 4-legged camp-host was friendly and checked on us a couple times quietly (Neeka!). The neighbor's dog was the loud one. Very private. Flat parking spot, and flat spot for tent. Tent spot was too close to firepit, but we weren't going to use it. So nice to have a picnic table! There was a clean porta-potty.

Je n’ai pas rencontrer l’hôte. Bref ce n’est pas mon genre site, même si j’adore être en forêt.
This was one of the best places we have stayed with Hip Camp. The yurt was tiptop clean. The property spacious was peaceful. Janean did not bother us but was there if we needed her. We recommend this place to everyone. J & C

Yurt at Burgess Backyard
The location to beaches, lakes, and town can't be beat. Great local recommendations as well! The yurt is very homey complete with kitchen essentials such as full-size fridge, 2-burner hot plate, We had duck eggs each morning, and loved hearing the ducks quacking and watching them bathe. We loved looking up to the sky at night from the yurt!
