Welcome to a serene Airstream retreat designed to provide you with a peaceful and scenic escape at the gateway to the Columbia River Gorge. This location is perfect for exploring the Gorge waterfalls while being just 15 minutes from the city and PDX, and just minutes from McMenamin’s Edgefield. The airstream sits on the back half of our 3 acres in a park-like setting, surrounded by a field of Douglas Firs and fruit trees.. Everyone who steps foot on our property falls in love. Relax in the Adirondack chairs under the awning or out by the fire ball. This site faces the Sandy River Valley to the south on the front half of our 3 acre property. You can see Mt Hood to the east and Mt Jefferson to the south. Peaceful and private, with large Douglas Firs. You can use our picnic table, side deck and bbq. Fire restrictions in the summer. We are just 10 minutes from all the sights of the Columbia River Gorge and waterfalls and endless hiking opportunities. We are also 4 miles from McMenamin’s Edgefield for quick access to a concert. 15-20 mins from the airport or downtown portland. Ask for any advice on activities or dining nearby.

Comfy bed…check! Quiet, beautiful property…check! Blackberry bushes…check! A friendly kitty that comes to greet you…check! We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again if we came back to the area. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer and enjoyed the outdoor space and corn hole game.

My friend and I enjoyed Susan’s spot after a long day on the Fruit Loop and hiking waterfalls along the Columbia River. The airstream had everything we needed and the little shower got nice and hot. Their cats were super friendly and Susan was super accommodating to our arrival time and gave us a thorough tour. Would love to stay here again.

Close to City, Feels Worlds Away

Susan’s place was perfect! She’s a wonderful host—friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. The property has beautiful views and such a peaceful vibe, but still feels tucked away and quiet. We loved how close it was to Portland, and the location made it super convenient to pop over to Edgefield or grab a snack at Sugarpine Drive-In. Can’t wait to come back!

Loved the old school air stream! Very cozy after an exhausting day. Everything we needed. And Susan was a great host. Greeted us and gave us many recommendations for spots to visit in the area. The land was beautiful too. Peaceful night. Kitties for the kids to pet. Just what a weary travelling family needed. My nine year old won’t stop talking about Air Steams now!

Pleasant two-night stay in the cozy Airstream. The location was quiet and scenic, with easy access to both main roads and beautiful backcountry drives. Perfect base for exploring the area’s sights. Susan and Scott were kind and responsive. Highly recommend for a peaceful and comfortable getaway.

Susan was extremely likable. She gave us space but was there immediately for anything we needed. Helped us more than we could ever ask. The airstream was very clean, secure, and we'll maintained. Would definitely go back and would recommend this to anyone, especially if you're headed to an Edgefield concert which is only 10 minutes away.

Incredibly quiet location (coyotes howling the first night) with beautiful views. Yet only minutes to Troutdale and about 25 minutes to Portland. Susan and her husband were very responsive and gracious hosts. I’ll stay here every time I’m in Portland and need a place to camp!

I loved staying at Susan's property. Perfect for a quiet and peaceful stay close to the McMenamins property which is what brought us to Troutdale. Susan (and her cute cats) were very welcoming and she even provided a list of suggestions for coffee, meals, and nearby hikes. I will definitely look forward to staying again :)

We had a great time at Valley view. Easy parking of the rv(30ft). Very friendly and helpful hosts, with lost of knowledge of the area. They gave us lots of tips for places to visit.

Our stay at Susan‘s was wonderful. We stayed with our children from 2 to 15 and enjoyed the spacious ground and beautiful area so much. Susan and Scott are really friendly hosts and their knowledge of the area was very helpful and interesting. Thank you :)
