This hipcamp was very far on dirt roads, I'm glad that I have a 4WD. The host didn't introduce himself, so I assume that's who he was, and he was not helpful. I could not find my camping space, and did not get any response from the host, so I left. I would not recommend this hipcamp unless the "host" decides to make some changes.

Site 2 - Jimmys Paradise Ranch
Jimmy is a kind host, and the land he offers is lovely. HOWEVER, upon arrival, the other tenant of his residence left us feeling kind of off when he said "This guy is weird, I wouldn't stay here if I were you."
The listing photos and address provided are to his house, which has NO connection to the property. When we asked about showers, he said he had a solar bag shower he could loan us, which we politely declined. His ONLY available facilities are not his own, but a truck stop down the road.
When you've been on the road for days and days, and show up expecting to take a shower, do laundry, etc, and there's now power unless you want to park in his driveway where the only power is, it's disappointing.
There is NO running water available, no defined "sites" in his fenced field, and very little shade. If you literally just need a place to sleep, it would be fine, but we were disappointed by this experience.

캠프장 안내문과 달리 화장실 없었다!!
또 마실 물을 가지러 가려해도 주인 집 큰 개 두 마리가 버티고 있다.
그리고 주인을 불러도 대답하지 않는다!! 음악 소리만 크게 들리고,,,
단 하나 잔디 사이트는 좋다!!
그러나 낮에는 파리,, 밤에는 모기 비롯 알 수 없는 해충 때문에 힘들었다!!

I was alone, and a little worried about safety at first, but everything turned out just perfectly. It was a nice quiet spot out in the country, and the sky was just full of stars. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

James was nice and we loved his dog! We didn’t have a lot of firewood and so he let us use as much as we needed of his own, which we were very grateful for. The campsite is full of stickers, so be mindful of that. Also he no longer has goats, the hot tub no longer works. And all of the amenities that are mentioned in the description are his stuff in his house, not a bad thing if you are comfortable with that. The site itself was pretty, lots of wildlife and great view of the stars. But, the cars are constantly driving by at night next to your area. Also the gate is not locked when he lets you in and so anybody can just open the gate at night. Overall not a bad experience, just a few things that are misleading because main photos are of his cabin not the actual campsite. Great land for tent camping in the “rough” unless you want to go to his house for the bathroom.

Jimmy’s property was awesome and there was plenty of room to spread out! Jimmy was an excellent host to myself and my dog, who loved his property because she could run free after a long day stuck in the car, plus she was mesmerized by the goats.

Nice guy, but ultimately not what I expected based on the campsite profile. Bathroom being in his residence and not locking is a significant issue safety-wise. Not a well lit entrance and directions were a little tricky. Friendly and helpful host.

We had a quick overnight stay to try out a new tarp tent shelter and sleep system setup. Jimmy met me on arrival to direct me to the site and offer a cup of coffee; he’s very welcoming and conversational. The site is well-maintained. It is fenced, gated, and mowed with vehicle parking behind a gate. There’s plenty of room for multiple sites, but it was just us this time. It was quiet with a nice, dark night sky; no light pollution from the metro. Heard lots of wildlife and livestock from nearby properties. Light sleepers might want earplugs if they want to sleep when the coyotes are calling as they roam through the area.

Jimmy was a great host! It’s a great spot. He showed us where the best view for a sunset is just a 2 minute drive. If you want goats up close personal, they are there and very friendly! He was very quick with communication. Would stay again.

I arrived much later than anticipated and Jimmy was very understanding about it and even offered me a cup of coffee when I arrived. It’s a lovely property and the bathroom (with flush toilet and shower) was super clean and they even provided towels and toiletries. Also, the animals are very sweet.

Jimmy is a gracious host! Super accommodating and generous. He was able to provide me with dry firewood and a fire pit for our camp area. He was also gracious enough to mow the grass of the area where we were planning on pitching the tent, gave us fresh eggs and coffee, and provide a telescope for star gazing. What a guy! He also and gave us a lovely tour of his land and animals, and told us where to see the most gorgeous sunset in all of Oklahoma.
When I say he’s accommodating, I mean it. He is ready to help in any way. I’m going to camp with him again and I would highly recommend anyone staying at Jimmy’s.
