Trailside Retreat is a primitive tent camping property tucked into a wooded area beside the Little Miami Scenic Trail and the Little Miami River in Oregonia, Ohio. The setting is simple, shaded, and focused on the outdoors, with campsites spread throughout a quiet wooded area just beyond the Yak Shack parking lot. It serves as a convenient basecamp for cyclists, paddlers, hikers, and anyone exploring the Little Miami corridor. Guests have easy access to Yak Shack for kayak, canoe, paddleboard, and bike rentals during its operating season. Little River Bar & Grill is also nearby, offering food and live entertainment. This is a true primitive camping experience, best suited for guests looking for a basic, low-key place to stay close to the trail, river, and outdoor recreational activities. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m. Please keep voices, music, and other noise to a minimum after this time out of respect for nearby neighbors and fellow guests.

Guests can spend the day on the river or trail and return to a simple primitive campsite nearby. Little River Bar & Grill is just steps away, making it convenient to grab something to eat. They also regularly host live music and other entertainment, especially on weekends. Trailside Retreat is intended for quiet overnight stays and outdoor travelers, not parties or late-night gatherings. Guests should be respectful of the property, neighboring homes/properties, and other visitors. Whether you are riding the trail, planning a river trip, visiting Oregonia, or simply looking for a place to camp for the night, Trailside Retreat – Oregonia provides a convenient home base in the heart of the Little Miami corridor. If you have an RV you will have to stay in the gravel lot and there is not proper drivable access to the wooded area.
