I enjoyed camping at peaceful pines. My dog could be off leash and play in the creek on the property. Rural is the word, no cell service but, that was ok with me. There is a lovely "cabin" on the property as well. Jessica was good at communicating the cellular limitations. wifi is available at the cabin. it does extend a little but you have to be fairly close to the cabin.. This is quite close to Hocking hills state park which we went to for hiking.

The location is very promising, but very muddy in its current state (after a rainy period). We decided not to stay, and I had to use 4WD to back out.
The host was very supportive, offering various options but we chose a refund.
The site is a work in progress. We plan to check back for any future trips. Hopefully drainage can be added to avoid “rainy day disasters”.
The location in respect to the park is great!

We found that the pictures posted for this hip camp. We’re very deceiving. We arrived at the site at 6:30 in Hocking Hills to find that there was 2 to 3 inches of wet mucky,mud. If you would’ve pulled your camper in there, you would’ve been stuck. It was a job site a muddy job site and unacceptable for camping. We had to pull out and go search for a place to stay at 6:30 pm on Friday night in Hocking Hills.( a very populated area) thank goodness we were able to find a campground that had availability. I am posting this so that another camper does not have to go through what we went through. I do think that when this campsite is finished completed, it will be a good place to camp but for now it would be camping on a job site ( they are in the process of building a cabin on site) The two sites are very close so that would be perfect, If you were camping with your friends that rented the other site. This should be a great Hipcamp site when it is completed and accessible for camping. I will say the host did refund our money with no issues. Hope this helps a fellow camper.

Started out rough as we were not aware of the road block/detour literally a mile from the location. Originally on pace to arrive at 6:15 for a sunset setup, however detour signs confusing and limited causing us to take the next road heading north which a mile in is impassable. (Use main roads only on detour!). Luckily, half way up that wooded “road” I made the decision to turn around..had we not.. no way out.. weekend would have been ruined not to mention camper. As detour time ate up the evening we arrived in the dark having issues locating the exact location with limited sight. That being said… we made it in and after setup, found ourselves in complete silence! Not a cricket even! We rebounded nicely and started loving the Hipcamp site! Not sure I’ve had more quiet site even with the road close by. Peaceful Pines a great name for this site which is also close to so many great hiking excursions including but not limited to Hocking Hills State Park, Ash Cave and Old Mans Cave. Location A+ for some rest and privacy. Being a new Hipcamp, Peaceful Pines had been recently cleared resulting in a campers firewood dream! We brought 8-9 logs of f our own but found plenty there for great fires each night. As a new Hipcamp, site showed signs of being “in progress” and will get better and better with each camper, but all in all.. 5 stars in my opinion. Loved it and will return. *** DO NOT take the next road (east of Macedonia) if coming from SOUTH!
