We would love for you to visit Camp Paw Paw. Nestled in the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio, our 5 acre wood offers a combination of privacy, natural beauty, and prime access to the region’s most sought-after outdoor destinations. Start your mornings with a quiet walk to the highest point of the property, where sightings of deer and wild turkey are common. Spend your days exploring the land, foraging for mushrooms, or simply enjoying the calm of the surrounding woods. Bordering Wayne National Forest, the property provides immediate access to public land. And is- 2 minutes to Baileys Trail System 30 minutes to Old Man’s Cave 20 minutes to Lake Hope State Park 20 minutes to Ohio University 20 minutes to Lake Logan 20 minutes to Rockbridge Antique Mall In Nelsonville you can stroll the Public Square, visit local shops and eateries, or catch a live performance at Stuart’s Opera House, a beautifully restored venue that hosts concerts and events year-round. No access from Happy Hollow Rd. as construction is in progress. Access property from Pancake or Lang Rd. The landing where parking and the main camp area is 100x25ft not including the picnic table, fire pit, and tent pad. It’s not ideal for large campers or fifth weeks as there is no pull through. There is 55ft of room for backing up and getting turned around to get back down the drive way. If that isn’t enough space then just be very confident in your backing skills as you will have to back down/up the drive way which isn’t perfectly straight. Feel free to message us if you have additional questions. Again we would love to have you, we only ask you take all trash with you at the end of your stay, no hunting or shooting firearms on the property, no loud music, and leave some firewood for the next camper.Only 1 site on the property. You have the whole place to yourself.

Secluded yet accessible to main routes.Host provides a clean sturdy picnic table,fire ring and porta-potty,but very much feels "primitive" & "woodsy".With the sounds of a hoot owl,frogs,crickets & other county night time wildlife. We can not speak to the cleanliness of the porta potty due to running our own water/toilet however it is another amenity provided if needed.The site is clean with the perfect amount of wild overgrowth offering privacy from the road way below.This is not a fancy manicured concrete pad but it is a semi level gravel pad providing a wonderful base to build your campsite from. The abundance of nicely provided firewood was an unexpected suprise. Host had great communication that provided instructions to the site. Be prepared this time of year (Late July) to battle mosquitoes and horse flies but come with the understanding that as long as you come with proper bug deterrent, and keep a good fire rolling,they become far less of a nuisance. Its camping, bugs are to be expected.We are fully sufficient & run completely off grid however this host does offer a softened grass area for tents with large log supports as markings. Property is gated with a lock for security but is slightly step going up roughly 300 yards & well maintained. Our 4 runner went up fine without engaging 4 wheel. If you're looking for something that feels like you're tucked away deep in the forest but still close enough to the public access, this is " that". Perfect for kids, pets & family.

We had a great time camping! It’s such a perfect and private area with a nice flat space for your tent and a beautiful woodsy view. We will def be revisiting 🫶

Had a great night at camp. Grateful for the wood pile and stumps for seating around the fire pit. Nice tent pad too. A nice quiet place just off the beaten path.

Good spot up and off the road 50-100 yards with firewood, a picnic table, and grassy spot for a tent. There is also stumps around the fire ring for seating. The area is mostly gravel. Some atv noise at night but wasn’t bad. We liked the clear address displayed for finding the location and having a locked gate.
