BRX01 is a deeply wooded site on the east side of the property, offering quiet, privacy, and a peaceful natural setting. The land is cut by Barrel Run Creek and bordered by the NSF railroad—giving the area a unique character and inspiring our name. We welcome you to wander the woods, listen to the creek, and enjoy the solitude. Whether you're hiking in or driving down, BRX01 is a great spot to unplug and recharge. 🪵 Firewood is provided at the site, and there’s a charming outhouse nearby for convenience. 🚗 Access details: The entrance is just south of the house at 3272 Industry Rd. Instead of pulling into the driveway, continue all the way to the railroad tracks. You’ll see a gravel path on the left that runs downhill along the tracks and crop field—follow that to reach the site. (There’s a map in the photo section to help guide you.) 🚶‍♂️ You can hike about 100 feet into the woods to set up your tent, or drive in.. 🛶 Nearby adventures: BRX01 is just a short drive from Michael J. BRX04 is a peaceful spot overlooking Barrel Run Creek. Plenty of room for multiple tents. This site comes stocked with firewood, trash can and picnic table. Located behind the main vineyard of Barrel Run Winery, you are a short walk to the bathroom we leave unlocked for campers if you choose. The access is grass field which is normally fine but in the wettest of times you may want to hike in. We look forward to seeing you!  The address to this field is 3272 Industry Rd.  Rootstown.  Pets are welcome.

🌳 BRX02 – Spacious, Secluded Group Site Wooded + sunny zones • Firewood included • Walkable outhouse • Great for groups BRX02 is a large, private site tucked into the southern edge of our property—ideal for groups looking to spread out and enjoy a more social camping experience. With both shaded woods and open field-edge sun, there’s plenty of space to pitch multiple tents and gather around a communal fire pit. This site is perfect for louder groups who want a little breathing room. Whether you're hosting a small meetup or just camping with friends, BRX02 offers flexibility and privacy without sacrificing convenience. 🚶 Access note: In dry weather, you can drive in along the hay field edge. If it’s wet, you may need to hike in—so plan accordingly. 🚽 Bathroom options: A charming outhouse is located at the north end of the field, just a short walk away You’re also welcome to hike or drive back to the winery, where we keep an outdoor bathroom unlocked for campers 🔥 Firewood is stocked and ready at the site. 🚂 Please note: An active railroad runs along the western boundary of the property. It adds a bit of character, but you may hear occasional train noise. Camping at our farm you will enjoy extremely private, wooded sites. The property is cut by Barrel Run Creek and flanked by the NSF railroad (hence our theme and name). We welcome you to wander and enjoy the seclusion.   The BRX03 site is on the east side of our farm.  We will provide firewood for you.  The site has gravel access all the way in. We have a quaint outhouse on site as you drive in. Feel free to explore and hike around. Please note that the access is just south of the physical house address of 3272 Industry Rd. (go down the gravel path that runs along the railroad tracks heading south). Most guests pull into the house at 3272 but you have to go all the way to the RR tracks and then you will see then access road on the left heading down the hill (going along the railroad tracks along the crop field). There is a map in the picture section of this listing. Thank you!

Had a great time. It was my brother in laws 1st time camping. We had a blast. Nick was awesome and allowed us to stay at 2 different sites since we had the whole place to our self. I will be back for sure.

Everything was great, we very much so appreciate the opportunity to stay in a laid back private spot that genuinely feels like primitive camping. Me and my friends like to camp quite a lot and have been to a decent amount of parks, but this spot has definitely been our favorite. I tried to clean up the site best to my ability, and hope it was done to perfection. Thanks Nick, for the weekend stay!

Amazing had plenty of wood, a lot of woods and fields to explore. The only problem we had was the train, but besides that it was an amazing experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed a weekend of camping on Nick’s farm. It was very private and we felt like we were away from others and it was also easy to access. Nick had plenty of firewood stocked for us at the site, so we were very grateful for that. We got to wake up to the sounds of pileated woodpeckers in the morning.

Very secluded spot. Nice camp site. You are next to train tracks. Train came through about three times a night. Other than that it was quiet. Was provided plenty of firewood. I would recommend the site.

I've stayed on Nick's land for many years but this time stayed at a different one of his sites! Absolutely loved it! BRX 2 was spacious and had both tree coverage and some cleanings so we could see the stars at night! Love the new outhouse! A very nice accommodation! Always a joy to sleep in a tent under the stars on Nick's land!!

The Sweet Compromise

My partner and I have very different camping styles. I want to be in the forest far away from civilization, he wants...maybe just not camping? LOL! I chose this place because it seemed like a perfect compromise, and we both like train sounds. Site 4 was very secluded, we actually didn't see anyone else the entire weekend, and I couldn't even tell where the other sites were! Very private feeling. Beyond the property you can hear noises; neighbors, machinery sometimes, and the road sounds. But when it's quieter times, it's gets very peaceful. Lovely creek! The train is frequent and we could see them across the field. Great host

Another wonderful camp at Barrel Run. Lots of bug and bird sounds, a few critters running around, a couple trees perfect for hammocking, and a fire pit made for an awesome long weekend. We will definitely return.

The campsite was clean and quiet, with enough space for 3–4 tents. We had a pleasant stay without any disturbances from other campers. The only drawback was the frequent train noise at night, which could be an issue for light sleepers.

I really enjoyed spending a weekend here. Directions were clear, firewood was stocked, and Nick was very communicative. It was both private and quiet, outside of the train, which I feel adds to the ambiance and also became less noticable as we went through our weekend. I will definitely be back to camp at Nick's property.

We had a great stay overnight. The site was amazing with a little bit of sun coming through but shaded enough to not feel the full heat of the day. The site was easy to get to—secluded enough and nicely maintained.

I love camping here it’s the 4th time now me and my friends have came out here! Very chill ! Trains don’t bother us (there’s like 5-7 a day). There’s a beach like 15 mins away, a line dancing bar,and a lot more!

Perfect slice of peace tucked back on a hill by a creek (if you’re a tenkara or micro fisher there are some fun creek chubs that’ll bite). I was actually here to break up the final leg of a work trip, I was able to put up my hammock close to the fire (really tight fit but I was stubborn, there are however at least 2 other spots with a far enough stretch to properly set up) and tent right over top. Minus one rainstorm that caught me off guard (not Nicks fault obviously) the weather was killer, but even with the rain you can tell Nick thought ahead. Pea gravel thin enough to drive your tent stakes through but thick enough that I never had mud or other issues even when the summer rain decided to pour buckets all at once. It’s tucked away, the trains are loud if you’re not a city person, but I grew up off 6 tracks and outside of one big boy that really shook the ground they don’t even phase you. The road back was well maintained enough that my low to the ground suv didn’t show any signs of a struggle. Firewood is plentiful, stacked under a tarp with a maul to split it smaller, also a tomahawk and target up on the tree provided a good mental break before my work headaches. Nick is by far one of the most communicative and generous hosts I’ve ever stayed with across any of the rental style platforms and I wouldn’t think twice about booking here again for personal or professional reasons.

We absolutely loved our stay at this campsite! It was incredibly spacious, quiet, and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind. The site is right next to a beautiful little creek, and we even spotted a beaver twice during our stay, which was such a cool experience. There were so many amazing spots for hammocks, and we spent hours just relaxing and listening to the water. The campsite had everything we needed: firewood, a fire ring, picnic table, trash can, and even axe throwing! The bathrooms were just a short drive away and were super clean. Nick, the host, was so kind and accommodating. We felt really welcome and taken care of. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful nature escape.

We had such a great time taking our 2-year-old camping for the first time! We had plans to take him multiple times prior to this event but all the places were questionable when it came to terms of safety. We also had worries that we would disturb other people but we were far enough away from the other campsites to where I don't think we were a problem or disruption at all. I think it helped that I was familiar with the location I'm not normally one to step outside of my comfort zone. The campsite was clean and looked like it was freshly prepped just for us and for our little adventure. It came equipped with a nice sized fire pit and plenty of wood!!! There was a blue porta potty close by but if I could give the recommendation to go to the wooden one, that was my personal preference. I thought it was really cool that they had a activity at our site, too inwhich were two hatchets and a wooden dart board (up high enough to wear the little guy couldn't reach). The bugs and wildlife were minimal.. we did hear maybe some coyotes off in the distance well after dark, we were relieved to not have to worry about any trash pandas (raccoons) or bears raiding our picnic basket while we slept. We woke up to the baby laughing at the sound of two crows squawking back and forth to each other, followed by the Choo Choo of the Train lol I did not mind the train at all, If anything it was a comforting reminder that I was closer to civilization. We can't wait to go camping again!

The site was perfect for our weekend. The view of the creek was gorgeous and the tall trees kept everything covered and cool. The space was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs to enjoy being dogs. Plenty of wood and an axe to chop for firewood. It was truly perfect for us.

This land is very spacious and open for you to explore as you wish. The site is definitely private and secluded which is the best part. There's plenty of shade and provided firewood which was great. The host was very responsive and generous. It seems like there had been a lot of excavating done recently which made it very muddy and not a lot of grass, other than that and the train I think I'll come back here again
