I had a quiet, peaceful time at Triple J Farm. Jessica met me on arrival and led me out to the site. She helped me carry my stuff in and even came out at 10 p.m. to warn me there was a severe thunderstorm warning, and if I wanted to come in, I was welcome. The dogs on the property are super friendly. One even decided to hang out with me as I walked the creek.
Even with the heat of summer, the air around the creek is cool and the water cooler. If you have sensitive feet, wear water shoes, lots of rocks, slate and mica. If you wanted to, you could definitely find some rough gems. The area is also heavy in wild blackberries. I was a little too early but still got to enjoy some sun-warmed juiciness!
While there are plenty of spots to hang a hammock, I found a spot right next to the creek, where I peacefully finished a couple of books I was reading.
It was beautiful! I’ll be back!
