Nestle into your own corner of our 8 acres. Kick back in a forest setting and leave the rest behind. Wander the nature path. Sit on the screened-in porch or by the crackling firepit, take an outdoor shower, or soak in the roomy spa. Enjoy rural foothills living in Western NC, conveniently located near Hickory, Morganton, Historic Valdese, and Lenoir. There are great parks and lakes to explore, with a boat launch just 4 miles away. Check out a local winery or brewery, and take a short drive to the breathtaking Blue Ridge Parkway. The Perch tiny treehouse is a custom-built tiny house (just under 400 square feet), situated in a mixed forest. It’s perfect for a couple or cozy for a small family. The modern design features whimsical, storybook touches—like stumbling across Granny’s cottage in the woods, but way cooler. The space offers a screened-in porch with dining for four, plus a two-seater bar top built around a big pine through the deck. Cook up a tasty meal in the full kitchen or on the charcoal grill. Wander along our little nature path through the forest. Hammock swings are available creekside. Enjoy a soak in your private hot tub, then sink into the daybed, turn on the fireplace, borrow a book from our mini library, or watch a movie. The Blue Ridge parkway is a short drive & absolutely breathtaking. ‘The Perch’ Tiny treehouse is a custom built tiny house (just under 400 square feet). It is situated in a mixed forest. It is heated and cooled with a mini split for year-round comfort. Perfect for a couple or cozy for a small family. Modern design with whimsical storybook touches. It’s like stumbling across granny’s cottage in the forest, but way cooler. We don’t charge for “extras“. Linens (including beach towels for the hot tub), charcoal, firewood, coffee/filtered water, & soap/shampoo are all included with your nightly rate. There is a screened-in porch with dining for four plus a two-seater bar top by the big pine through the deck. Cook up a tasty meal in the full kitchen or on the charcoal grill. Wander on our little nature path through the forest. There are hammock swings available creekside. Enjoy a soak in your private hot tub & then sink into the daybed, turn on the fireplace and candles, borrow a book from our mini library or watch a movie on dedicated hi-speed internet. This is a private home with its own gravel driveway & parking area. There is one outdoor camera facing only the driveway. The flat, mulched path from your vehicle to the Perch is approximately 40 feet. It is suitable for about any vehicle to access & room for truck and boat/utility trailer to park (with an experienced driver). Please note this is a rural/country environment. While guests find our area very peaceful, you may hear a passing vehicle/lawn mower from time to time, encounter wildlife & sounds common to country life such as a dog bark, woodpeckers pecking, a tractor, a dirt bike/4 wheeler, children at play or even hunting/target practice in the distance. There is a queen bed & 2 twins. A partition is between the sleeping areas, but no door.

What an amazing forest retreat!

Private Treehouse W/ Spa & Fire Pit

The Perch is an exquisite little house. There were many little details that Carie Ann included that took it over the top for us. We loved the way it was so secluded and private but is also so close to Hickory. The hot tub was awesome and super relaxing, the string lights at the romantic mood. Being so close to the forest at all times was amazing. The house is beautifully decorated and stocked with anything you'd need. The forest trails were so nice and fun to explore. This tiny house doesn't seem too small, there's plenty of space for the two of us that stayed.

Excellence in the trees.

Private Treehouse W/ Spa & Fire Pit

We loved this sweet little treasure of a tree house. Had all kinds of plans upon arrival but never left not even for milk. The hot tub was spot on and the little welcoming gestures made it even better. Carie Ann takes wonderful care of this property. Would recommend to anyone who wants to just get away and relax.
