Riverfront Hideaway

We had a really great time camping here at riverfront hideaway. We were within 30 minutes of every hiking trail we planned to do, and the land was always quiet when we returned. We weren’t disturbed by wildlife or human noise. The river was peaceful and quiet. It rained quite a bit while we were there but there wasn’t any run off to flood the site and nothing was disturbed. HIGHLY recommend 4WD/AWD to get to the site, and mint scented trash bags to deter wildlife from any waste.

Quiet forest visit

Riverfront Hideaway Campsite

We spent the Labor Day weekend here and enjoyed the forest surroundings. Once you turn off the main gravel/dirt road onto the road up to the RV site we found using our 4 wheel drive very helpful. The spot provided room for our off-road trailer and Jeep. The trail down to the river is a bit steep but we enjoyed visiting the river several times. The evenings were the best, enjoying the sounds of nature and the quiet.

Beautiful, secluded and peaceful location and a quiet respite from the daily grind. The host was very helpful with directions and quick to respond with questions.

Riverfront Hideaway Campsite

Very quiet little parcel of land. Tucked in and encompassed by forest. If you’re looking for a place to just sit and relax, this is it. We heard several birds and saw one little chipmunk. The site is located right off the gravel drive. We didn’t see anyone drive by while we were there but heard a couple vehicles off in the distance. The river is located across the road through a trail in the woods. The site has a primitive feel. 4WD was helpful getting to the site and parked into the site as it is sloped. We have a truck camper and it was a perfect cozy fit. The host, Kara, was very nice and available if we had any questions.
