Pond Overlook
Second visit to Raven Rock this year. Had just as much fun as the first time. Jeffery is a great host. Very peaceful and quiet. Only about 20 mins from town feels a lot further. Completely pet friendly and pet safe.

We absolutely love camping by the waterfall! If you have an AWD/4x4 vehicle you can make it up the drive. Just be aware if bears and other animals. Our last day it was raining quite a bit so the drive back was slick but other than that zero complaints! Hendersonville is only 25 mins away and it's such a cute town with all you need for camping or food :) we will absolutely be back (more prepared, of course)

Fantastic view and loved being next to the creek overlooking the pond. Jeffrey was super nice. One of the quietest spots I’ve been to. Very private and the leaves were beautiful! I will definitely be returning.

Great space, responsive and accommodating host, and a campsite I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each time I’ve stayed. This was my 3rd time here and I’ve brought different friends and family each time. Every experience has been great regardless of which site we’ve been in and I can’t recommend this place enough.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place to camp. I stayed at Pond View and the property is really pretty and well maintained. Also, I was camping solo with my dogs and I felt completely safe. Be prepared for the road in and out. It is about a mile to the site and the road is gravel and narrow in some places. I drove in hauling a 13 foot camper and had to switch on my 4WD at one point when the truck tires started spinning so I could get the camper up the hill. Despite this one situation, I navigated the road just fine and I am a novice camper hauler! I doubt you would need 4WD if you aren't hauling something heavy or if your just driving a vehicle. Also, I didn't have cell service (Verizon) at the beginning of the drive in so I couldn't access the directions to the site or pictures. My lack of directions coupled with the fact that the sites are not marked made it hard to find my campsite. Make sure you have the directions reviewed or printed out ahead of time just in case you are without cell service (FYI, service was good at the campsite). I highly recommend this site if you are looking for space and solitude in a beautiful setting. And, Jeffrey is a great host!

Yet again — this is the best campsite ever! So peaceful not a soul around. Gorgeous river fed pond. Babbling brooks surrounding the campsite. Heaven!! Oh and Jeffrey is the bomb too!!

Very easy and relaxing experience. The property is beautiful and was easy to find using directions from the listing. We enjoyed being close to mountain biking, and then being able to relax at our campsite overlooking the pond and the mountains after play time was over. The dogs really loved being able to explore around the water. Lovely mountain stream right off the side of the campsite that fed into the pond, very chill. Will be back!

Overall, we had a great experience. However, we booked this site planning on being able to fish. Fishing is listed on the landing page for this spot as an offered activity (and there are some really nice trout in the pond). After we had caught one trout, the host came and told us we couldn’t fish…this was very disappointing. Also, the site really needs a picnic table.

The photos do not do this place justice. I felt like I was in Narnia! Jeffrey was absolutely five star and went above and beyond to make us comfortable during our stay. He is so kind and truly a wonderful human, and I am so happy to have met him. The site is clean with a beautiful view of a mountain stream fed pond. You are surrounded by water everywhere with babbling brooks and waterfalls singing you to sleep at night. I honestly cannot wait to go back.

Easy directions, cozy camp site, beautiful pond and creek right next to camp. Only 8 minutes from ride rock creek (huge bonus for us mtb folk). 10/10 would recommend and will be making this my main camp site for my trips to the bike park.

The Pond Overlook at Raven Rock was a great get away with my son!
Perfect set up about 100 ft from the pond. Jeffery had plenty of firewood ready, and was happy to help and answer any and all questions before hand to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a good bit of rain the night we arrived, but didn’t stop the fish from bitting. My son wanted to book this spot again for next weekend.
So, book this spot, but don’t forget your fishing rod!
