Pros:
-It was a quick 20ish minutes to Old Fort.
-Eco battery, bistro lights, firepit, drinking water and hand washing station, picnic table, extra supplies
-Remote area- we did not see any other people when there
-The cute family of turkeys roaming on the property
-Microgreens and fresh eggs!
Cons:
-We visited during an especially hot and humid weekend. The yurt was incredibly clean inside but smelled of mildew and has visible mildews from the elements. I am sure it’s hard to avoid/treat this in a wet climate, but the heat and the smell of the mildew were hard for me. Luckily we brought a box fan and b/c we conserved energy with the eco battery we were able to use it to move the air when going to bed.
- Be aware of poison ivy. You can tell they try and remove it, but anytime near water in NC you get poison ivy- so watch your step.
-We had no cell service at all. This is a plus and minus, but if you need anything from the host, you may not be able to reach them. Make sure you read the directions before arriving so you know where to go if the app doesn’t load.

We loved our time on Farmer Sprouts property. The bell tent was equipped with two sturdy and comfortable cots. The deck is a fabulous feature and we spent many hours there relaxing and soaking in the peace and quiet of our surroundings. We loved listening to the many different varieties of birds in the area. The rain tarp allowed us to enjoy sitting on the deck even while it was raining. We had a lovely long weekend and I highly recommend this site.

We had an incredible experience! There was one issue when we first arrived at the cite but they were very quick and professional and resolved the issue immediately. We were very impressed with the hospitality! The cite was gorgeous and we enjoyed exploring the farm! We only stayed one night but I wanted to stay longer!

This is an amazing little yurt and campsite! Everything is very well thought out by farmer sprout and makes for a lovely little getaway. There is lots of misc camping equipment in the shed (so if you forget things like we did, you’re covered)! And the micro greens we added on were super yummy! We had such a pleasant weekend away watching fireflies and listening to the creek. 100/10 recommend!! Thank you farmer sprout!!
As an aside, I was a little concerned about the compost toilet at first, but it was super easy to use and so much cleaner than any other campsite toilet I’ve ever used! Definitely don’t let that deter you!

I had a fantastic time camping in the yurt! It was spacious with two comfortable cots, and the wood heater added a cozy, authentic touch to the experience. The location was easy to find and access, making it hassle-free to settle in. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which was a nice bonus. I loved the little creek in front of the yurt—it was so peaceful hearing the water all day. The shed with EcoFlow generators was a thoughtful touch, providing a small charger for the yurt. Being completely unplugged with no service was refreshing! My dog had a blast, too. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and immersive camping experience!

Beautiful remote area. It was cold but we were able to stay cozy by the fire. Lots of places close enough by in case you forgot to pack something. Will definitely return & recommend to friends & family!!

We recently had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful yurt hosted by Farmer Sprout, and it was an experience our family will not soon forget. The yurt was everything we hoped for—charming, clean, and incredibly comfortable. It offered a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, making it an ideal getaway for our family.
Farmer Sprout was a standout host—responsive, welcoming, and truly professional. From the moment we booked, communication was seamless, and any questions we had were answered quickly. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home.
The surrounding property was equally wonderful, with plenty of space for our family to relax and explore. Our kids enjoyed the open space, and we loved how quiet and peaceful the area was. The entire stay was seamless, and we felt well taken care of throughout.
We left with full hearts and already have plans to return. It’s rare to find such a combination of beauty, comfort, and exceptional hospitality, but Farmer Sprout delivered on all fronts. Highly recommend this yurt stay for anyone looking to escape into nature without sacrificing comfort.

Super cute spot! The host was super responsive. It rained a lot but I stayed dry inside the yurt. I suppose I should have expected it but the cots are, well cots, not beds. I’m glad I threw my sleeping mat in at the last minute. I slept comfy and cozy on a wet cold night.

What a great time unplugging from the world with my dog at this amazing camp! It was very well-stocked and there were very easy instructions for everything from the camp’s location to how to use the Ecoflow for lights! Location was pretty secluded, not too far from the road and it was cool to see the farm in front of the camp. My dog enjoyed the creek and the white noise from it was perfect for our sleep. Communication from the host was excellent! I bought some eggs and micro greens from them which was a nice add! Glad to hear they weren’t very affected by the hurricane and was happy to contribute what I could to the local economy.

My family and I loved our stay on the farm! The tent was so cozy and clean, and the site was peaceful and lovely. Farmer Sprout was a great communicator and very kind! She also grows some tasty microgreens!

What a magical, zen experience. The farm is peaceful and quiet and what my soul needed.
I loved the fireflies, symphony of the nocturnal critters, and the overall setup. The tent is spacious and comfortable and elevated on a platform - great for soaking in the serenity. The night lighting is so pretty! The outhouse was clean. I ordered micro greens and Farmer Sprout had them waiting for me. (The micro greens were fresh and delish!)
I visited with my dog and felt safe on the property.
I’d definitely stay again.

We really enjoy our stay! The tree coverage was great to help keep cool during the hot summer day. All the amenities provided made packing for this trip a lot easier too. The creek also adds to the peaceful environment and provides a refreshing splash if you are up for it! Location easy to get to other hikes and groceries if needed. We’d def stay here again!

This place is AWESOME! Don't hesitate to rent. You will most definitely enjoy yourself. The owners have went out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourself on this property, and its pretty private. It is stocked with everything you will need for your camping trip. Which is awesome means you don't have to pack as much..
The kids will most definitely enjoy their self in the stream, Don't forget to have the little ones bring a float.. It's so so very cool mine were floating thru the tunnel. 😂Many laughs and memories made here we will not forget this trip..❤️❤️ A Wonderful place to unplug....
