Nestled in the heart of North Carolina’s Uwharrie Mountains, Parker’s Glen is a family-owned retreat where history and nature come together. For nearly 200 years, our family has carefully preserved Crouse Mountain, a pristine jewel of the region. Now, for the first time, we’re inviting you to experience its untouched beauty through guided and self-guided hikes, nature workshops, and immersive outdoor adventures—all while becoming part of a community dedicated to preserving this land for generations to come. We have several campsites available, varying in price based on exclusivity and proximity to the summit, where the Eagles Nest site is located.

Eagles Nest

Eagles Nest is at the peak of Crouse Mountain. This is primitive camping at it's finest.

Midway

Midway is located about halfway up Crouse Mountain. It has beautiful views, and easy access to the stream and one of the mountain springs. It's just a short walk to the top or back to your vehicles if necessary.

Pretty Tree

Pretty Tree is located about halfway up Crouse Mountain. It has beautiful views, and easy access to the stream. It's just a short walk to the top or back to your vehicles if necessary. It's loving called Pretty Tree for the "interesting" looking Tree that calls it home.

The Bowl

The Bowl is located at the top of one of our mountain springs. The site is surrounded on 3 sides by steep banks, giving it the utmost feel in terms of privacy and remoteness. It is one of the most striking landscapes on the property, and is my personal favorite other than Eagles Nest.

The Knoll

The Knoll is located about 3/4 of the way up Crouse Mountain. It has a unique and interesting landscape, and offers excellent privacy if desired, or you can set up on top of the knoll and be very visible to hikers.
