This property is part of a working family farm established in 1900. The farm is currently a beef cattle operation giving campers the opportunity to see a working farm. There are 2 ponds on the property available for fishing and paddling. Given the area the farm covers campers will have peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. For NASCAR fans, the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway is within walking distance. If you can't occupy your time here we're within 10 minutes of many local attractions. Wilkes also hosts festivals like; MerleFest, Apple Festival, and Peach Festival. This area is home to many Peach and Apple Orchards one personal favorite is Tevepaugh Orchards. And if the local attractions don't suffice the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone and Blowing Rock are all within an hour.

This site is next to one of the ponds on site. The has picnic tables, a fire pit, and a floating dock. At the site you’ll be able to spend time fishing, paddling the pond, relaxing by a fire, or sitting on the dock. Right below the pond is a natural waterfall. There are also areas for walking or biking. This is on a working farm so you can expect to see cattle near the campsite. ***If bringing a camper/RV you won't be able to park on the dam of the pond. There is a parking area below the dam for this parking. You can see the pond from it***

The Overlook site is perched above the pond as well as the waterfalls on the property. This site feels like you are hidden in the woods along the pasture edge. You can enjoy a private campsite, fire pit, picnic table, and areas to hang hammocks. A short walking path takes you down to the pond or the waterfalls. There's also the opportunity for walking and biking. You are welcome to utilize the pond for fishing and paddling. There is a campsite at the pond so if someone else is there be mindful.

Beautiful property with nice hosts. Be aware that the Pond site is not a traditional site for a RV or camper as you can not park your rig on the site where the view of the pond, picnic table and fire ring are. You have to park down the drive in a gravel lot and then access the amenities at the Pond Site. They were kind enough to let us park our 22’ Sprinter Campervan in the large grassy lot that serves as their outdoor movie theater instead of the gravel lot. That area was beautiful and we had a very nice stay.

We went there to unplug and unwind. It was very peaceful and no one bothered you at all. My husband got to fish all day and we took our 2 dogs. Very peaceful.

The Overlook
The overlook was private and peaceful. You can hear the creek just past the trees. The campsite is up a rocky hill that we were able to clear just fine in my 2WD Honda CRV but would think twice if it were wet. The farm is sweet to walk around, there’s a grocery store nearby to grab essentials and the site has a picnic table, fire ring, and two chairs ready to be used. Perfect for a little getaway in nature. Would stay here again!

Lance was easy to communicate with. Even though we choose 1st camping site by pond, we switched to the one that is between pond and creek with small water fall. That site is more private and with 3 pups is what we needed. Pond site camping area is also nice but is more open. So just depends what you are looking for. You can also see cows in the field in the morning which was fun. Altogether we had a good experience.

Beautiful peaceful spot! Fun view of the cows and the creek swimming hole is wonderful! The Cub Creek park is perfect for a morning coffee and running the kids. If we are ever in the area again we will be back!

The Overlook
Cool place to stay! In the heat of the summer, this spot provided plenty of shade, especially in the afternoon and evening. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, even providing us with extra tiki torch fluid. This spot is close to town if you need supplies. We would stay here again.

The Overlook
We stayed at the overlook site. Site is tucked away at the corner of a field and felt very private. Property is awesome, creek was really pretty. Had a blast fishing in the ponds. Hosts were very nice and helpful. Will definitely visit again.

Oh my gosh! What a perfect, perfect place for us to stay at during Merlefest. Lance was super kind, helpful and informative. The field was spectacularly beautiful and peaceful. Minimal leveling needed for our 26' travel trailer. Easy access to our site. The tripod doggoe even stopped by to welcome us. And somehow, somehow, we managed to even get a doordash delivery in the middle of a field with no house number. Lol. We loved it here. Would def 10/10 recommend staying here for any event Wilkesboro'ish!!!

The Overlook
Beautiful site perched above a running stream. The sounds of the water moving are heavenly. It is private and well laid out. We had a tent and hammock and were able to set everything up. With plenty of space and trees for the hammock. It was so nice that Shane had tiki torches lit at the site when we arrived because it was after dark. He also delivered wood for the fire. There is a port a potty several feet from the site which was also a nice feature.

The Overlook
We had an amazing experience here! We stayed at the overlook camp site, and loved how it was private, beautiful, and had plenty of space for everything we needed for camping! Lance was so accommodating, we arrived later than initially anticipated, and he had tiki torches lit for us when we got there. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing hidden gem. The host was extremely welcoming. We stayed at the pond site and it was perfect. We fished, relaxed and hopped in the creek a few times. I would highly recommend this location and would stay here again.

The Overlook
First off, the people made this decision easy for us. Beautifully tucked away little spot! Easy access to the overall location, but as Lance mentioned, may be a little tricky getting up to the site when it is wet. Overall, felt like this family genuinely cared about ensuring every need was met and I would highly recommend this tent camping spot if you are in the area. We were privileged to call this spot “home” for several nights! Even with the rain events over the weekend we faired pretty well. The creek and meadow made for some awesome opportunities to enjoy flora and fauna out and about. Truly a gem and we pray this family keeps their traditions alive for generations to come.

The Overlook
Great campsite! Clean, tucked away, and well maintained. This was the perfect spot for recharging before and after Merlefest. 10/10 would absolutely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a quite little corner of Wilkes to enjoy a nice weekend .

The Overlook
The Overlook is a great little patch of land on a really nice farm, it feels private and is near a beautiful creek and there is a pond just through the woods a little bit. Getting there was easy and straightforward just make sure you have 4WD if you want to get right up to the campsite. Theres a trashcan provided and a portable toilet within walking distance which is very convenient. The noise of the creek combined with the frogs was very nice white noise so you're in luck if that helps you sleep. Overall a great little spot and i would go there again!

I cannot recommend Parker's Farm campsites enough! We went as a family for a quick fall getaway and it was PEFECT. I feel like Lance thought of everything when it came to this campsite. There were solar powered lights in all the right spots, the port a potty was easily assessable and clean, the grill and fire-pit were perfect and there was plenty of firewood. My favorite part was watching my boys have fun! They played in the stream, fed the cows, fished, built a fire- it was all around the best time. Lance and his family live on the farm and they were the kindest people. We loved chatting with them and they answered every question we had! I truly cannot recommend this campsite enough, especially with children. It was perfect. Thanks you Lance and Parker Family for making us feel right at home! We will be back.

Beautiful location and wonderful host. Lance met us immediately, showed us where to go and offered help. We were greeted right after by his parents who also offered help. We will definitely be back.
