this campsite was everything I needed for a quick visit to asheville! I was traveling solo and felt very safe and secluded. the bathrooms were as I expected them to be, not squeaky clean of course. I did take a night shower in the outdoor shower with the fairy lights and that was lovely. there were lots of fireflies and pretty views. I will say that the dirt road says in the listing that it’s 2WD accessible, but I would not trust a 2WD car on all the bumps and hills and mud, I was lucky to have my subaru. all in all, would return!
Overall, the campsite was wnderful and we had the most beautiful view of mountains. it was surrounded on three sides by trees, so we felt very private when in the actual camp. There was a fire ring, picnic table, and plenty of space for tents. There were also good trees to hang a hammock. You can park you car right where you're camping, to have access to all your stuff.
The host was very helpful and freindly.
My concerns- There were A LOT of people actually living on the farm, so people and pets were walking by all the time. Everyone was friendly, but we felt caught off guard by how many campers there were with people clearly living on site full time. Second, the farm was beautiful, but had some junk for sure. The kitchen that was available to use for us, was flat out bad. Smelled like cat pee, dirty dishes piled in the sink. We wouldn't use anything in there unfortunately. The bathroom was pretty much the same. Its convenient to have a sink and toilet, but the sink faucet was rusty, and I didn't end up showering. The other toilet close to the campsite is just a porta potty.
Overall, because of the lack of camping options aorund Asheville- I still reccommend this place. Just know that your're still roughing it, just on someone elses property. The facilities could use work, but the camping was awesome. Loved the views and the land is super pretty. We also had some cell service which was nice.

The farm is located a stone's throw from Asheville, and the campsite is a little slice of heaven. I tucked my camper in the back of the site, facing a field framed by dense stands of trees that filled with fireflies at night. Between the twinkling stars and the firefly displays, the nights were truly magical.
Everyone on the farm was friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend the spot, with the qualifier that the kitchen and bath facilities shouldn't be offered as amenities, so plan accordingly.
Best weekend ever! absoubetly perfect. My boyfriend and my dog had never been camping, so I was nervous because I love camping so much. They ended up loving it and wanting more. Lol so I was a happy camper to say the least. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing quite spread out pmexperience this is it. I feel like its a well kept secret so I dont know why im telling you guys all this because now you will want to go! Lol. The people who work on the farm were super cool n friendly. Shower area could use some maintance but other than that good. We will definitely be going back. Oh and everyone was right about the fire flys at night. Pretty cool.

Campsite #3 was huge and private, as depicted. The ground was soft, with a small creek running alongside (frogs & crickets & fireflies, OH MY!) The walk to the bath house was not too long, and the property was well kept, as it's on a small farm operation.
Beautiful spot. Cool people, Trip is the man. Highly Recommend.

Nice quiet space adjacent to the river as specified. We used as a jumping off point to Asheville.
The host was very accommodating with our late arrival and ushered us directly to our site. You couldn’t beat the rain on the roof and the rushing Creekwater throughout the night.
My partner and I spent two peaceful nights at this private and magical site. The creek was only a few feet from our tent site which made for excellent sleeping. The platform for our tent kept us warm and dry. We awoke to a beautiful view and id'ed many birds. The field allowed us to practice with our boomerangs too! The hosts were warm and down to earth and I would recommend this site to all!
Nice people, beautiful property, affordable price, peaceful campsite. I’ll be back!!

I've stayed at Jake's Farm before and the camp sites are beautiful and private. Always feel safe and Jake's has everything you need.
This is a nice bare bones stay for cheap. The site is roomy, but not quite as private as advertised. We could see and hear campers on either side of us — which didn’t bother us, but I feel is worth noting. Pretty farm. Has a number of long-term renters living out of RVs — everyone we interacted with was very nice. Bathroom and shower are pretty run down and dirty/rusty. But I was happy to have a shower available. I would recommend staying here if you are not afraid to rough it a little.

All of the people were nice, but the vibe was off. We liked the idea of this place but upon arrival, we realized that while there are only a few sites available on Hipcamp, there are a lot of folks who live here full time. It wasn’t a bad experience, it just wasn’t what was described. It sort of felt like a trailer park.

I arrived and was given a full introduction to the campgrounds when I arrived. which is always helpful in a bigger place! Bathroom/shower were clean and campsite had a space for a fire and charcoal ready at the picnic table. You are able to drive-up to your site as well. I would stay again :-)

Super private and cute campground! It was relaxing and quiet at night. The bathrooms were good! I would absolutely stay here again :)
This was a great place to camp. It is surrounded by farms. Campsite 4 was great because it was quiet and next to a river. If you take your dog make sure they are friendly. There are a few dogs that roam the property. They are nice but if you have an aggressive dog it may be an issue. There were a few other oddities, like someone pulled down into a field near our campsite and slept in their car. They were gone by morning but a little odd. Also, there seem to be others maybe living in various campers on the property. However it felt safe. Chris is super nice! Great guy from what I can tell.

We had a great stay at Jake’s farm! The site was exactly as pictured, and everything matched our expectations. Jake/Chris was a welcoming host and very quick to respond to any questions. One of the highlights was seeing so many fireflies at night—it made the experience feel truly magical. Would definitely recommend!
It was a good place to stay in good weather. The people were nice, we had wifi inside of our tent, the site was mostly quiet and private, and there were lots of very friendly dogs. They have a full kitchen and laundry facilities, all free for guests. The view was AMAZING, and we saw SO MANY fireflies every night. We could hear frogs all night long, and my kids and I thought it was really funny when they jumped away from us into the stream.
Unfortunately, it rained every afternoon/evening, and our site flooded with about 6 inches of water directly under our tent. I believe this is normal weather during the summer months. After one hour-long downpour, walking on the tent floor was like walking on a waterbed, and our bedding was soaked. Our tent was in a huge, deep puddle covering most of the area behind the picnic table and fire ring that didn't dry out until the next day. We had to move the tent way back and put our bedding in the (free) dryer. The whole road in and out was also VERY muddy for all except the very last day of our trip (the only day it didn't rain). Walking to the bathroom and driving through it was quite difficult. We've camped in rain several times before but never experienced the amount of flooding and mud that we experienced here.
I would come back if the weather was clear, but would choose a different spot if there was any rain in the forecast.
This was our first ever stay at a Hipcamp, and it was pretty cool. We stayed on site 4 with electric as we had our little 13’ canned ham. Plenty room for it. Favorite features of the camp were being right next to the Beaverdam creek with the beautiful rippling water sounds, and the unique shower house!

Great place to sleep while we explored Asheville and brevard. It was nice to have showers and toilets at a very reasonable price
Beautiful space, lovely views and enjoyed the peaceful camping. Not necessarily the most tidy communal spaces, but if you want an authentic farm experience, this place is awesome. Recommended :)
