Incredibly private & beautiful site

Incredible seclusion nestled among the trees in the mountains. Sunrise and sunset can be seen through the trees and with a short walk, sunrise can be seen over an insane valley of the neighboring property with gorgeous mountains in the background. The silence was incredible. The changing colors were beautiful. If you’re looking for a primitive site that also comes with the creature comforts of a bathhouse, you really can’t go wrong here. Its privacy with a bit of luxury that I haven’t found many other places that offer both. The bathhouse was really nice and nowhere near that far of a walk through the woods that others mention. Clayton and Tiffany were great hosts. They called their cows and yaks so that we could feed them and be wowed over the size of the yaks which are freaking huge. It was raining quite a bit and they offered to drive us back to our campground rather than hiking back which was incredibly generous and appreciated. We were having a ridiculously difficult time finding a private site that would accommodate our van instead of a 4x4 but we are really glad we found this site. We can’t recommend it enough.

This spot was amazing. Definitely will be coming back. It’s incredibly well kept. Has a high hanging open garage, easy for trailer or roof top tents to be set up there. Bathrooms, showers, and the hot tub were great and well kept as well.

Perfect Family Friendly Camping

What a beautiful place! The location was easy to get to, and it was close to fun towns and hiking. We were 2 families. This was the first tent camping trip for one of the families with small kids and it was perfect! There was 1 other camping spot close by, but we still felt very private and there was plenty of places for the kids to run around. The bathrooms were so beautiful and clean, the hot tub was a bonus. We would definitely come back and camp again.

We stayed at the "Camping in the Woods" campsite and it's one of the most peaceful, quiet and relaxing spots you could find. It's easy to get to, has quite a large footprint and is fairly level. The beautiful Bathouse is a just up the road and takes a couple of minutes to walk to. Over the weekend we barely heard any human made noises and almost forgot there was an outside world. So if being surrounded by trees in a quiet, peaceful environment in the mountains of southwest North Carolina is what you desire them book this site.

Slice of Heaven

When you need to get away from the world this is the place to go! Solo female camper here and I felt super safe in this slice of heaven. The views are just beautiful and the hosts were readily available for any questions I had. I explored Rainbow Falls at Gorges State Park and some of the trails on site. I enjoyed looking for and finding Daydream Rock. I will for sure be back!

I had the extreme pleasure of camping on Clayton and Tiffany’s beautiful piece of property, camping in the woods, with my two sons and my brother. Clayton and Tiffany were very accommodating and helpful before our trip. I had one question to ask upon arrival and Clayton responded promptly. The property is secluded and quiet. The bathhouse was especially nice and clean, as well as stocked with toiletries (for a fee) should you forget anything. My family and I loved our time there and look forward to coming back.

This was just what we needed. Such a lovely spot. Wish we could have spent more nights there. The hot tub was amazing, showers were super clean and our dogs loved the trails. everything was perfect. 10/10 we will be back to rent the hikers treehouse at some point.

Absolutely Amazing!

I cannot recommend this enough! This was my first time using HipCamp, and it felt like such a luxurious car camping experience. The hosts had the hot tub ready to jump in upon our arrival, and the covered area was perfect to keep our belongings dry between re-loading, cooking, and eating. The real bathrooms on site exceeded my expectations as well - I thoroughly imagined a regular campsite shower/toilet area, and they provided an actual bathhouse with real amenities and thoughtful accomodations (common toiletries and towels). I'm already looking forward to returning. Thank you so much!

The Perfect Mix

I love the view and the big open area for our dog to run around. We were able to set up our little disc golf The hot tub is another bonus to the already nice setup. The bath house is super cute and clean. I love everything about this little sight. I want camping and being outdoors but love having the electricity, water and convenience of a bathhouse. It’s like the perfect mix! We will continue booking this site.

This place is a dream!! We could not have imagined a better spot and experience for our long weekend. Thank you so much to the amazing hosts for making this beautiful slice of nature available to campers! We loved being close to the donkeys and cows and bath house and still feeling like we were surrounded by woods - with the opportunity to listen to the rain one night and gaze at the stars the other nights! Thank you thank you thank you from your biggest Atlanta fans! The firepit and firewood were a huge hit!

Great spot!!

When we went it was kind of rainy but the trees helped dissipate the rainfall. Because of the moisture, the entire grounds were covered in sooo many different types of mushrooms! So many different colors and shapes! The soil is definitely thriving on their property. It was so beautiful when the sun came down and the rays peaked through the trees and the fog. It wasn’t super far away from the other camp grounds and bath house, but far enough to feel secluded. We loved the privacy. And the bath house was awesome. Hot water, gorgeous interior, available towels and supplies. Definitely a luxurious bonus.

This is a beautiful quiet small campground the view was spectacular. We enjoyed the walking trails. Bathhouse was top notch. Having cover in the mountains was awesome when those afternoon rainstorms hit, we didn’t have to retreat to our tents could still enjoy our family time!! I personally enjoyed the night sky view our last night was clear… so many ⭐️ stars!!!!!

The site was amazing and the facilities impeccable. We did have some heavy rainfall which didn’t dampen the spirits but totally soaked our Australian Overland Camper which didn’t pass the test of Lake Toxaway’s temperate tropical rain forest. However, we were blown away by the beauty, scenery, restaurants and general amenities in the area. We had the pleasure of meeting Clayton and Tiffany in person and were so impressed with their commitment to the facility and the lifestyle of camping. Dave & Jo T.

Great place!

Excellent location and facilities! I know all the other reviews mention the nice bathrooms, but it’s true! They had extra towels and toiletries for use. The grounds were well kept, had plenty of space and solitude!

The campsite was in a pretty wooded area with mountain views between the trees. Had a picnic table and stone fire ring with a couple chairs. The bathhouse was a short hike down either of the trails from the campsite and was very modern and clean with each of the 2 locked rooms having its own toilet, sink, shower and power outlets. They even supply towels! There is also a water hose next to the bathhouse. It was a convenient location for hiking in Panthertown and also close to the few restaurants and shops in Lake Toxaway.

Great secluded spot to camp but close enough to town to feel safe. The spot has a good bathroom just a close hike from where you camp. It has warm water and a good toilet, they also have extra stuff if you are missing something. Make sure you follow the instructions because it’s a little bit tricky to get there but they will help you get there.

Indian River Creek Camping

Our stay at Indian River Creek was everything we could have hoped for. Clayton and Tiffany were helpful, even moved a fallen tree at 9p, so we could access the camping in the woods site with our vehicle. The campsite is secluded, surrounded by trees, providing lots of shade, and the trail system is great. The bathhouse is clean and a short hike from the campsite. Saying hello to the friendly farm animals is a must! We definitely will be back! Clayton and Tiffany have a beautiful property that we are grateful to have experienced.

10/10 Would Go Back!

Our site was just wonderful. We had a spectacular view of sunset. The bath house is clean, and really well put together. There are tons of charming and thoughtful things around the property. Our kids spent over an hour playing in the creek. The hosts have even put a little swimming hole, maybe a foot deep for the little ones to enjoy. Already planning a return trip.

It was a great way to get away and relax chasing waterfalls. The camper was adorable! We loved how it was decorated and very private. I’ve never seen prettier outdoor bath house! Even shampoo, razors and soap provided. The camper has air conditioning which was a big plus! Communication was excellent! Clayton and Tiffany know their stuff! If we had questions, they answered us promptly. Highly recommended and we plan to return as soon as we can!

Beautiful campsite, very nice woods. We saw fireflies and heard an owl. Just so other campers know, the bathhouse is further away than a quick walk- not somewhere you’d want to walk to at 3 am! The bathhouse is extremely nice, and is private with towels/necessities provided. Really enjoyed our stay!

God's Paradise

The weekend spent at Mountain View was absolutely incredible. It was very quite and offered complete serenity. The bathhouse was very clean and accommodating.
