Very cozy little campground in a great location. There are only 4 sites and I had site #3 which was the best—more secluded and had a nice flat pad for a small tent and a fairly level parking pad to the side. I car camped and just parked on the slightly sloped driveway. I am used to dispersed car camping so the clean, outdoor (enclosed) shower and flush toilet were nice amenities. The campground is heavily wooded with a nice treetop canopy so there was plenty of shade. It must have rained just before my stay as it was just a little damp when I went the last weekend in September but there is enough gravel laid down to mitigate the dampness except for on the actual tent pads. There were no bugs to be found anywhere during my stay. The location is secluded behind a residential area across the street from the lake and was very quiet (except an owl hooting) with very little road noise. Full cell service was available from Verizon. There is a Dollar General very close by in case you forgot anything. I drove into Salisbury for a day excursion and there is plenty to do there: good BBQ, historic sites and a nice downtown to stroll. One of my favorite things about Hidden Oasis was the little communal hangout hut complete with refrigerator, sink, charcoal grill, darts, cornhole, patio bar with stools and picnic table. The hosts were welcoming and responsive. Had firewood and starter waiting for me with a little gift that was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this place to anyone with or without kids. I could see it being a great place for a small family reunion, church group, guys or gals weekend or any other small group looking to book the entire campground.

We are grateful for a place to stay that had both a flushable toilet and an enclosed outdoor hot shower. So appreciated! There was a lot of noise from the boats on the lake and the hum of people for a few hours on a Friday night. Thankfully our dog isn’t scared of gunshots because someone nearby was shooting Friday before dark and for quite a while Saturday morning as we were packing up. For those with animals with sound sensitivity or phobias the sound of the gunshots could be problematic. Thankfully, it wasn’t for our dog. Lovely campfire rings, zero gravity chairs provided and a nice common area with a sink and fridge.

Site 4 -The Overlook

So peaceful! Clean, quiet haven tucked away with so many amenities. Easy to access. Clean and stocked facilities. The community kitchen with running water was a huge bonus. There were games to play. The host came and checked on us at one point and we met her very friendly puppy. Will stay again.

Hostest with the mostest!!

Had a wonderful stay! The hosts are the mosts! They really do go above and beyond what most hipcamp spots do for the price. This place was tranquil and quiet and so accommodating with a great bathroom and shower, a grill and fridge in the pavilion area. Just a great little spot really close to high rock lake. Definitely would recommend checking it out!!

We had a great weekend at Hidden Oasis! The property is easy to find and owners have put in a lot of effort to make it a nice little campground. We enjoyed having a bathroom and warm shower nearby. Also took advantage of the pavilion with the picnic table to eat at. It was nice and quiet as we were fortunate enough to be the only ones there that weekend. There was a bit of poison ivy around the site / area but for the most part the tent grass was free from this. Would definitely stay here again.

I would love to start off with its not my first time staying on this camp ground the fact it has a bath house and a hang out hut is outstanding, the grounds are always in the best shape and very clean and quite. the owners are very kind and responsive to any of your needs while on their property. 10 out of 10 for tent camping

Great Small Campground

Sandra & Randy have done a beautiful job creating and maintaining this small campground. Nice, shady site with gravel, fire ring, picnic table and gravity chairs. Super clean real flush potty with sink & shower in adjoining space. The pavilion was also clean and a great spot to do dishes with very hot water. Sandra even comes around with complimentary koozies and cooling cloths for you to take home! Wonderful spot to spend a night or two.

Great, Clean, Cared for Campsite

the campground was excellent. sites werent too close together. they also had chairs,tables, trash cans, pits, a hot shower, toilet, and a pavillion with lots of extras for groups/families. the site has a nice grass tent pad area, and was also able to find a good hammock spot. there was subtle lighting along the paths and the facilities. the bathroom also had lighting. there was cell signal too. all for a very reasonable price at the time I stayed. nice camp that was clean, well situated, and lots of extras that showed the work the owners have put into it. without charging hotel prices some do for a campsite. would stay again.

Gorgeous land not far off the highway. Hosts have thought of everything. If you plan to car camp, request a level parking spot campsite, is the only suggestion I would make. Out of the 4 sites, at least two looked pretty flat. There's an awesome area with refrigerator and space to hang out and visit. The shower room is really nice. I usually go to Planet Fitness but no need here. It's mostly quiet but you will likely hear a little road noise in the evening. And the dog is friendly, so expect a visit or two!

Quiet tucked away site in the woods. Tight road for larger vehicles (we have a camper van) but doable. Everything was dry when we went so no issues with mud, etc. The site was slopey but not a problem to set up once we found the right area.

Great for traditional tent camping

This is a great spot for tent camping, not far from Lexington or interstate access. The campground name is a little misleading as there is not lake access within walking distance (all private land with no neighborhood access), but there is lake access 10 minutes drive away. The campground itself has lots of tall trees with many birds which was enjoyable and peaceful.

Peaceful, well-equipped spot to camp. We tent camped at site 2 with our dog and had a nice night among the trees. The other campsites are far enough away for privacy, though we definitely enjoyed being the only ones there. The bathroom is clean and the water stations and sink worked perfectly. We asked for some firewood to be left for us and also helpfully received a firestarter cube. There is a little road noise audible at the site, but it's not loud nor frequent.

What really stood out, though, were the hosts — they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared that everyone had a good stay.

Thoughtful oasis

Sandra and Randy have a true oasis offered here. It's rustic and private, yet has the perfect amenities. The pavilion/clubhouse and bathroom have all the extras to make primitive camping a breeze. It was just as advertised and more. We brought kids on a long weekend and had the place to ourselves. It was perfect for so many reasons. They loved having the freedom to move around camp independently. The location is tucked away in a safe area with minimal traffic. Ther are 4 campsites in a small area with a bar/kitchen setup in the middle. The first thought i had was getting 3 of our friends and family to book a long weekend to enjoy each other's company. The camps are far enough apart to not be disturbed, yet close enough to the amenities to fully utilize them. There is ample space to entertain, have a big dinner or play games. We will definitely be back!

This was such an amazing campground. Space was private. We were easilavle to hang 3 hammocks for overnight camping. The bathroom and shared pavillion space was excellent. We had our toddler with us and yhe added amenities made for extremely comfortable camping. Highly recommend!

The hipcamp was great. I arrived after dark and took a moment to find Site 2, but it was peaceful and seems much more "pro" than a lot of Hipcamps where you just park next to someone's farm. I did use some blocks for leveling as I just slept in my van I stead of pitching a tent. I would plan to come back next time we're close to Lexington or Salisbury.
