Transylvania county is also known as “The Land of Waterfalls”, where you’ll find over 250 spectacular cascades & cataracts. Just 9 miles away, take in a day of scenic beauty up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. You’ll discover amazing long-range views of the Appalachian Mountain Range, stunning waterfalls, fields of wildflowers & trails, over-looks & elevations that reach more than 5,000 feet. Depending on the time of year you are visiting, you can catch a floral show as the seasons change. Afternoon picnics and sunsets on the Parkway are highly recommended as well as star gazing on a clear night is indubitably hypnotizing & will leave you awestruck!! A few nearby waterfalls under a 15 minute drive from campsite: 3.7 mi- Living Waters. Three easy waterfalls all within a short walk. French Broad Falls, Mill Shoals Falls, & Bird Rock Falls. 7.5 mi- Courthouse Falls. 45 ft. waterfall that plunges into a deep pool. Perfect spot for a dip on a hot summer’s afternoon. Ten minute fairly easy hike from trailhead. 7.7 mi- Paradise Falls Trailhead. One of the best secret swimming holes! A magnificent oasis. Challenging & steep hike, but worth it. 11 mi- Upper Dill Falls & Lower Dill Falls. 50 ft. Waterfall (lower) with just a short easy hike. Upper Dill falls is beautiful and tucked into a lush cove. 7.9 mi- Wolf Creek Lake. Better known to the locals as Wolf Lake, this 183 acre high elevation lake offers spectacular scenery & great swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding.

The camping was amazing by the creek, getting to listen to that as I fell asleep was very relaxing. The amenities were quite nice to not have to leave all luxuries behind in civilization. The hosts were very friendly and offered great suggestions on what to do in the area.

We had a fantastic stay at Hidden Acres Mountain Camping! The campground is beautiful, peaceful, and exceptionally well maintained. We stayed at the Woods & Water campsite, and it was the perfect spot with plenty of privacy and a beautiful natural setting. One of our favorite features was the sitting deck overlooking the creek. It was a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the sound of the water, and take in the scenery. The farm stand was also a great touch and added to the unique charm of the campground. The bathrooms were spotless, some of the cleanest campground facilities we’ve experienced. The entire campground was quiet, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the mountains. The host was incredibly friendly and informative, making us feel right at home and providing helpful information about the campground and surrounding area. If you’re looking for a peaceful, clean, and scenic mountain campground, Hidden Acres Mountain Camping is an excellent choice. We highly recommend it and look forward to coming back!

We loved our weekend camping on Georgianna's land! It was a perfect mix of tent camping and "glamping" with a super nice bathhouse and everything we could need provided at our site (outlets, water hose, firewood, dishwashing bin, even tongs and a good fire poker stick!) The tent sites are nicely spaced so it feels private, but we were only steps away from the bathhouse which was great. We really enjoyed sitting by our campfire in the woods and relaxing by the creek in the Adirondack chairs. It was super fun to visit the chickens and eat fresh eggs too! The location was perfect, it feels like you're far away from the hustle & bustle but also close enough to Brevard, the Parkway, and lots of other fun stuff to do. Highly recommend and would definitely camp here again!

We really liked this spot in the woods and by the creek. The surprise was the bathrooms. I didn't expect to have privacy and I certainly didn't expect a heated bathroom with heated toilet seat and private shower in the woods! Georgianna is providing the best for her guests. The campground was beautiful with plenty of space and a nice spot for 2 to have your morning coffee by the creek. Oh, and the fresh eggs each morning, was a plus! You won't be disappointed!

We loved our stay at Pine Meadow! My kids spent hours exploring the woods and creek, and we were lucky enough to have almost the entire place to ourselves - only one other campsite was occupied. What a beautiful, peaceful place with all the amenities I could wish for (including a mini farm stand and heated toilet seats/hot water!). We met Georgianna as well, what a cool human - if I lived closer I'd totally force her to be friends with me. 😁 During the day the campground was utterly peaceful, but we had trouble sleeping because a neighbor's dogs barked literally ALLLLL NIGHT, no exaggeration. Not on the camp property, it sounded far away, but unfortunately it echoed very clearly and kept us awake. A previous reviewer had mentioned it but I thought they were being dramatic (and ignored their warning) 😆 - apparently not! Just know it's a possibility, so if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Overall we had a fantastic time and so much fun! We would highly recommend giving it a try, and plan on coming back!

Staying at creekside by the bridge was great, the roosters were a nice early natural alarm clock, setting was relatively private and they had the site set up very well. The bath house and the farm stand were an amazing touch, and everything was right where it needed to be, also the heated toilet seat and warm showers were amazing. Met the hosts too and had a great conversation with the both of them, they are great people! We will definitely be back! Bravo guys!

Georgianna’s little campground just can’t be beat! It’s honestly more like a hotel, just outdoors, and in the woods! Peaceful, laid back, convenient yet still remote. Starlink internet made changing plans because of weather easy. The bathhouse was better and cleaner than any I’ve ever used, literally. Each site having dry firewood, water hose, lighting, tubs for dishes, and TONS of space just makes staying here a no brainer! I can see return trips happening, especially with the whole family!

Georgiana is an incredible host and has a beautiful place. It has everything... a bottle opener? You have it in the tree next to the grill. A firepit? Yes. A bathroom? With hot water and a heated toilet seat. Electricity and water on the pitch. Dish soap, unlimited firewood for a small fee, unwashed eggs from her coop, and a stick. Who would have thought it? Do yourself a favor and stay with Georgiana; one of the best camping experiences so far.

Lovely setting, just off a quiet road. Plenty of firewood at the ready, and was able to get 3 hours out of each bundle with a conservative burn. My daughter had a terrific first camping experience, and we were just far enough from the tent sites to feel private but not isolated. The hens and rooster were cute to visit, bathrooms were spotless, warm and bugfree. Nice to have a hose and a/c outlet right at the campsite, too. Proprietors were attentive, kind, and unintrusive. We plan to come back!

This place was absolutely magical! It was very clean and cozy! There was a cute little pond with fish in the greenhouse! It's a peaceful secluded site with a nice fire pit, running water, a grill, a mini fridge/freezer, a coffee machine, and a bathroom with a shower! Georgianna made this place feel like home with all the little touches! She's an amazing host, and I would recommend this place to everyone! Plus it's just a short drive to so many beautiful waterfalls and the Blue Ridge Parkway!
