A stargazers dream, as the nighttime sky possesses no light pollution, thousands of stars can be seen atop the tree tops while listening to the wildlife sing natures song. A true premium site featuring all the luxuries of modern campgrounds, while maintaining a private and remote experience, that so many desire. A rare gem in today’s society and one that has to be experienced to truly appreciate the awe and wonder Mother Nature has to share. A breathtaking and revitalizing take on the phrase “campsite”! Stone Mountain State Park and New River State Park are minutes away. Boone and Blowing Rock are about an hour from this location. Wilkesboro, Sparta, and Elkin are within 30-40 minutes and offer lots of excellent restaurants, breweries, and fun things to explore. The new golf course, Contentment Golf in Traphill, pending opening in fall of 2025, is minutes from the site. Several other golf courses are local as well. There are several wineries in the area, including Roaring River Vineyards within 15 minutes of the site. This area is also home to the Blue Ridge Parkway so you’ll find plenty to do; or simply enjoy disconnecting from the world and reconnecting with nature! Cell service is non-existent at the site but available at the main entrance. Wi-Fi is available for an additional charge. Rules do pertain to this site and have been kept minimal for the benefit of everyone. However, in the event that rules, or laws, are broken, in any capacity, we will cancel your reservation immediately with no refunds given. This location is private and peaceful and it is the expectation this will be maintained and respected. Gypsy’s Hideaway Campsite

This is a great spot for the family with full hookups and privacy. Plenty of hiking trails being close to Stone Mtn. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!
