This was a super convenient location for a quick weekend birthday trip to hang out in Asheville. It's right off the highway and easy to navigate to Weaverville, Mars Hill, and Asheville. David said they are usually closed in February, but we lucked out with good weather and were able to take advantage of the full hookups. With three larger dogs, it was nice to have the dog yard--with bags and trash can--and the nature trail area which would be a wonderful little hangout spot in the warmer months. There is highway noise, but it wasn't an issue for us, as we were running around the city and not looking for an outdoor getaway. However, like I said, the little nature trail hideaway would give you more of that feel. I can easily picture reading a book on a blanket and listening to the creek or enjoying an evening fire at the pit.
The only recommendation I would have is to maybe fence in some, if not all, of the dog yard (if not already in the plans) to allow dogs to have some time off leash. We have one that refuses to go potty on a leash, and another that's high energy, so she would have loved the opportunity to run out some zoomies. Again, not a deal-breaker, but something that would make camping with doggos more convenient.
This spot is definitely on my list of places to return to! I also highly recommend Stony Knob Cafe for a delicious high-quality meal and Salt Face Mule Brewing Co for a great hangout spot in Weaverville, as well as Biscuit Head and La Rumba in Asheville.

Site 2 - Creekside Park
This campground was very easy to find and right off Rt. 26. Probably the quickest access we've ever had. The temps got cold, and David was great about warning that my water hose might freeze up. It was pretty quiet at the campground, I never got the chance to speak with any of the other campers. We were there visiting relatives for Thanksgiving and this fit the bill perfectly.

Host was not on site. Never saw him. Had to cancel a medicine mailing he had said I could make because no one was there to receive it. Site was ok otherwise except crowded against the adjacent site

When we arrived, our campsite #3 wasn't available so we were upgraded to a larger, more private site #5. Water pressure and wifi were great. The little nature trail was a great walk for our dog. We could hear the road noise at night since we did not have our A/C running due to the chilly weather. When the heat did run, we heard nothing. If coming during the colder months, I would bring a white noise machine. Creekside is conveniently located to Asheville's attractions.

Perfect, convenient spot close to Asheville. It was quiet and had a cute little walking trail to a separate community fire pit. We stayed in site 5 which was at the far end and more private. No gate to enter or leave which was perfect for our late arrival. David was also ontop of communication. Would stay here again!!

We only stayed for one night, but we had the perfect little site. Because of an error, David graciously upgraded us to site 5. We had a little deck, and a fire pit. The water and electric made it super convenient.

This was out favorite RV stay so far in the Asheville area. There is road noise from Hwy 26th. Small and private and was only 10 minutes from our daughter's house in Weaverville. We look forward to staying here again.

Such a beautiful little site. Easy to find. Close to stores. Great little pet area. David was very welcoming. Loved the little creek. The lighting bugs at night were so magical. Each site had a picnic table and fire pit. We would definitely come back during our travels.

The property is small which has its advantages. It is landscaped and beautifully kept. It is also level. There is a large grassy area for pets. It is conveniently located to Weaverville, Asheville and Mars Hill.

We loved Creekside! Our pups had a blast playing in the grassy area and running around in the creek. It was quiet, not too busy and very well-maintained. This is by far the best RV spot near the Asheville area. You’re only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville and Marshall, 12 minutes from Weaverville and Mars Hill. There are so many things to check out. I highly recommend and will definitely stay here again!

Site 1 - Creekside Park
This site was very easy to find and right off of I-26. A very short 5-10 min drive to cute downtown Weaverville and about 15-20 minutes to downtown Asheville. This spot is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet place to park your RV/Camper close to a lot of great breweries, restaurants, and things to do.
The sites are very flat and each one has a picnic table, fire-pit, and access to power, and water. The sites are fairly close together so we didn’t spend much time doing many camping activities (campfire, cooking, hanging out at the site) but we were thrilled to have a safe and quiet spot to park our camper-van and sleep on our weekend visit to Asheville.

We loved our stay at Creekside #2 in our travel trailer. What a lovely place to unwind and spend some time, with just a short drive to all the attractions in Asheville. The full hook-ups along with picnic table and level gravel parking area made everything effortless for our stay. The exta ammenities of wifi, a dedicated dog park area, and a scenic nature trail along the creek were also most appreciated. Communication with David was very easy, as were his directions. The experience was a 10 out of 10. We look forward to our next stay at this well-maintained retreat!

We arrived after dark and just stayed for the night to break up our trip. It was conveniently located off the highway and was quiet. Since it was so cold and we left early we really didn’t get a sense of the place. Good immediate communication from the owner.
