Cedar Ridge is an outstanding private campground and a perfect base for outdoor recreation in the area. The outdoor shower was fantastic and the outhouse was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Both were positioned perfectly relative to the campsites. The property is quiet, peaceful, and clearly cared for. Andy, the owner, was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful during my stay. If you’re looking for a clean, well-run private campground close to great hiking, biking, and outdoor adventure, Cedar Ridge is an excellent choice. I will absolutely stay here again.

This was exactly what we were looking for — a peaceful, well-kept campground with plenty of space between sites. The grounds are beautifully maintained and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The hosts were friendly and attentive, ensuring everything felt welcoming from the start. It’s quiet and serene, yet conveniently close to local restaurants, hiking trails, and all the best spots in the area. You can tell a lot of care has gone into creating this place

My girlfriend and I have a fantastic time at Andy’s campground. He came over as the sun was going down and we were getting our fire started from the firewood that he had available. Such a pleasant night under the stars. Would highly recommend!

Love this spot. Me and my wife have been here multiple times already and it’s the best. Quiet and private. Great to use for over landing or just a tent. The owners are also extremely nice and friendly. I would recommend this spot to everyone.

Having a shower and such a clean restroom definitely helped this off-grid camper! Andy and his family were wonderful people, and made it a point to make ask what they could do to make sure I had the most enjoyable camping experience. Highly, highly recommend to those looking for a remote retreat with clean and well-kept facilities. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely return.

We had a wonderful time. Their camp sites are perfect. Love the fact that they have hot water to shower and super cleaned bathroom. Location was super easy to find. If you are looking for a quiet camp site this is your place. Recommend 100 %. Also don’t worry about wood because they have some for sell love it 🥰

My wife and I just stayed here for the second time, and it did not disappoint - the scenery is lovely. We love how secluded and private it feels, yet it's super close to everything we needed. The hot shower setup is super nice.

We loved our stay at Cedar Ridge Base Camp! The hosts were so kind, and they’ve done a beautiful job with the sites. The area is perfect for all ages and abilities. Whether you’re looking to ride or stroll the trails at Dupont or simply relax in a tucked-away...this spot is just a few miles down the road from Dupont and close to Brevard as well. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay with Jennifer and Andy. The camp is very well maintained with clean hot shower, water spigot and port-a-potty.
Both nights of our trip this time, there were other campers. The privacy between sites is exactly what we were looking for. Thanks again for a great relaxing stay. Andy did meet us the first day of each of our stays. We also purchased wood from him on this trip. We will be returning for sure.

We really enjoyed our night at Cedar Ridge Base Camp. The sites were farther away from each other than a normal campground, had a nice gravel base and I believe a wood chip area for tents (we had a rooftop tent). The sites were a little less secluded than some people described, if you are looking for even more privacy, pick the farthest back 2 sites, which backed up to the woods.
Our favorite feature of this campground was the awesome outdoor shower Andy had built: simple instructions with how to turn it on/off and a really nice experience, which is not always the case with camp showers! The host stopped in and made sure we had everything we need.
We loved the proximity to Brevard and DuPont hiking, and some super cute shops in the area: Cedar Mountain Outpost is a must stop, as well as Hiker and the Hound!

What a fabulous place!!! Very secluded but with water, shower and bathroom. The sites are situated so that each one is private from the other. We got in late and left early but we plan to be back in a few weeks for a two night stay.

Awesome spot for van/tent. Each lot has a fire pit and is really level. Easy access in each lot. We actually stayed at two different sites at this hip camp and both were spectacular. This camp has a clean restroom with automatic light and a super hot shower. They provide firewood at $10 a bundle in case you need it as well. I will say that the only downside was a rooster that I assume lived down the street and may not be aware of when morning is because he woke us up at around 3-4 am both nights 😂 lol

I did some solo camping with my RTT and the setup of the individual sites were great.
I was staying at Thrasher which was tucked away pretty good and had enough room for my truck and the fire pit.
The port-a-pottie was kept clean. I did not use the shower but it looks very clean!

This is the perfect stay! The grounds are very well maintained, the host was so friendly, the shower was great (clean & hot) & the bathroom is very clean. 10 minute drive to the visitor center for DuPont, the best place to land after a day of hiking or biking. Water hose available to easily wash your bike down after the day, dishes, hands, etc. Very dog friendly! Continuous non-essential but nice improvements ongoing & I can’t wait to come back & recommend to everyone!

Met with Andy soon after I arrived, super nice and very welcoming. A lot of work has been put in to make sure the campsites are level and clean. The hot shower was very welcoming after a long day mountain biking and I enjoyed a nice, cool, quiet evening before I needed to head back home. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time camping at Cedar Ridge.
This is exactly what camping is all about.
Andy was such a great host, very attentive and considerate. He kept great communication and stopped by every once in a while to make sure we were ok.
There are free roaming chickens and roosters as well as albino squirrels!!!
The campsites for tents were paved out with gravel for parking and mulch for our tents. The bathroom was spotless, extremely clean and such a nice accommodation. Andy made sure our water and gas heater were set up properly every day in case we wanted a chance to take a shower outside. The shower was so refreshing. You haven’t experienced a great shower until you’ve showered outside. Truly is breathtaking. Makes you appreciate nature even more.
There’s a cute little restaurant that had live music on Fridays just 2 minutes from our campsite.
We were visiting the area to go to lake Jocasse. If you’ve ever been, you know how high of a demand the entry is and you need to be there early in the morning. The drive is about 45 minutes from camp but was so worth it with the windy roads and the beautiful scenery the entire way. We left around 7am on Sunday and spent the entire day at the lake and came back to base camp for a relaxing steak taco dinner over the fire.
Such an amazing location. Definitely recommend Base Camp at Cedar Ridge.

After years of using Hipcamp, this might be our favorite stay yet! The location was perfect and gave us easy access to Pisgah, Table Rock, Caesar’s Head and downtown Brevard.
The site was exactly how it was described and worked perfectly for our stay. The porta potty was extremely clean and there was drinking water available. Our site was flat, private and still had nice views of the field next to it. The fire pit was great and got lots of use from us.
Andy was a super helpful and kind host. It was great speaking with him about the property and local attractions. He suggested the Cedar Mountain Outpost for coffee and we loved it.
We typically go to Brevard and Pisgah once a year so we will definitely be staying here every time we visit! 10/10
