We had a great time camping! The spot was fantastic and very thankful for the new 20x30 cover which protected our RV during our stay.

We had a very strange encounter. We arrived to the campsite but we're not given the number of the campsite. We called and were treated like we were annoying them by calling to get the site number. Everyone around the campsite was staring at us. No one said hello. Many people walked past just to look at us and still did not say hi. After about twenty minutes of being stared at by three or four separate campers we set up. Went into Sylva and stayed out all night to avoid coming back.
We woke up in the morning with a man blocking our truck in the space and he opened with "We have a problem". He said "the queen of the park noticed you have a tent up. Are you staying in it? We don't allow tents here".
They were referring to my bathroom tent and said I needed to take it down. They do not have a bathroom on site so I provided my own. He said I could take my toilet over to the OPEN CABANA if we needed to use the bathroom. Then they proceeded to accuse us of not paying and said we couldn't leave until we paid. We explained we paid on Hipcamp and they said if we take the tent down we were ok to stay another night. There was a woman with the man who did not say a word during the whole interaction and was scowling at us lol.
This is not worth the money or the hassle of dealing with hosts that make you feel unsafe and a community of peeping toms.

Beautiful campsite with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay…from coffee by the river in the morning crisp air to adventuring out to see the Elk just down the road in Cherokee! We had a lovely stay & will be back!

We stayed longer because we liked it very much here. Our host is a superstar. Very helpful and generous. Anytime again. We had two bokkings at the same site so here my second review. The town of silva is great and we found many gorgeous hiking trails from leisurly strolls along the river to challenging hikes to beautiful outlooks and along gorgeous waterfalls. In August the temperature was perfect. Cool 70s in the mornings for outdoor adventures. Everyone we met in town was super nice. Thanks John to make your spot available for us. A highlight of our trip.

John is super nice and a awesome host. The stay was great. Our host was a true pleasure to deal with. Thanks John for your patience, generosity, and grace. We had engine problems and had to postpone our arrival multiple days and multiple times. The site was clean and all paved with a nice large concrete slab. There was 30 and 50 amp hookup and water and sewer in the perfect location for us. A super nice family next door. There was a little bit of road noise during the day but nothing that would be a large nuisance. The park once had a clubhouse with fitness room and common gazebo area but that was private and fenced now. The location is better than expected. The town Silva has an adorable downtown with lots of breweries, restaurants and little quaint shops and boutiques. Fridays they have free life music at a stage near the river. The town is busy enough to have things happening without being crowded. We found some real nice hiking trails nearby and our pups enjoyed the adventures in the mountains very much. Summer is mild with much nicer temperatures as we are used to in Floridas summer. Mornings in the low 70s with daytime in the upper 80s. Loved everything about our stay.

The owners were wonderful hosts, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. We caught small too medium size fish off the patio creek edge on the first day. There's an adjoining gazebo/patio between this and the next site. It's very nice with a fire pit as well. Across the creek there's a stand of trees with a road on the other side. There is some road noise, but not bad.

My husband and I loved staying in this spacious spot on the creek. It was a little oasis. Easy to back in, gorgeous spit that felt secluded. Cute nearby town Dillsboro with a great restaurant called Quirky birds. Nearby greenway in Franklin that my dog and I adored. This rv park is not the best spot to walk your dog given the multiple nearby fenced protective dogs- that was the only downside. But there was a gorgeous pasture of sheep and a lamb! Our starlink worked great here too! We honestly would come back in a heart beat- it was perfect.

Great little spot on a beautiful stream. Only downside is a lot of neighbors have dogs. They were fine, and only barked when we had our dogs out. Which is what dogs do. Haha

John's spot is great. It was just as described, waking up and having coffee by the water was perfect. He is very reachable for any questions. The only con for us was the area dogs, they are fenced but do bark at cars, etc. We have a large dog and need to walk him and we felt we were disrupting the peace of the campground due to the area dogs barking at us all the time. So if you have no pets, it is absolutely a perfectly located spot just outside of Dillsboro. We will stay again, when visiting without the dog for sure.

Great location that is close to WCU, Sylva and Dillsboro. John, the host, was very helpful, provided updates that made our stay very easy.
The site is in an RV Park so there is little to no privacy between sites.

Great location! Loved hearing the creek behind the camp spot while star watching! A little noise from the road but gets very quiet after dark.

John was extremely accommodating and his property was beautiful. The lots were very large, paved, and level. Water, electric, and sewer hookups were well maintained and worked great. The creek that runs behind the spots was gorgeous as well, we loved sitting next to the creek sipping our coffee on the chilly fall morning. Overall, excellent spot and we will certainly be booking here again in the future.

I enjoyed my stay so much. The site was right on the creek and it was clean. A gazebo was shared by the site next to us and had a table and chairs. It was quiet and peaceful. I accidentally booked for the wrong day and then had to cancel for another day and John and Sarah were so understanding. They actually came to the park and met with me. Such a wonderful experience all around. I will definitely be staying again on future trips as I visit with family in the area on a regular basis. John and Sarah are wonderful hosts. I really love the camp site with the creek so close. Next time I will try to make sure I visit during fishing season. John said that the fishing in the creek is very good.

Excellent location and our site was directly on the creek. Very quite RV resort with only 20 mostly full time sites. Good communication and a very good value. We will return.
