Welcome to the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina! At approximately 3,455 feet elevation we enjoy mountain breezes all summer PLEASE DO NOT ‘photo book’! We ask guests to please read through the details BEFORE booking a site. For example: not all tent sites are park at sites. Some of our more secluded sites in the woods are far from bathrooms etc. Sites near the winery/bathrooms are not secluded and you can see/hear ‘people’. As of Jan 2025 we change to an age 13+ campground. No one under the age of thirteen years old is permitted to camp overnight. Younger children will still be permitted to visit the winery next door to the campground during open hours but must have an adult (18 years plus) with them at ALL times! Due to an incident that could have ended in tragedy we have a zero tolerance policy of unsupervised children. You will be asked to leave if your young child is unattended by an adult. During the summer months we often have free range chicken eggs and organic produce and herbs available for our campers. We are next to our own winery/cidery that features home brew wines and beer. We also offer sodas. Firewood is for sale. You may bring your own firewood as long as it’s not from out of state. We have a few primitive sites in our woods for those who love more seclusion and places to hang hammocks. We offer Hiking/jogging trails at the campground with more trails on the nearby blue ridge parkway. We are just a 5 minute drive to downtown Little Switzerland. We are also only a 5 minutes drive to the famous Diamondback scenic mountain road. Approximately 20 minutes drive to Crabtree Falls on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our cantina next door at 539 blue ridge gem mine road is open for the season and serving home brew beers and small batch ciders for ages 21 and older. Photo ID required. Sodas available for purchase as well. We now have a well lit covered porch area and club house with free WiFi and available 24 hours to our campers. Note: absolutely no outside alcohol or underage alcohol consumption permitted on premises. Anyone not in compliance with North Carolina state laws and federal laws will be evicted from campgrounds without refunds. If the campgrounds happen to be under a burn ban please understand that we can’t and will not break the law for you! All campers must obey the burn ban if in effect or face possible penalties under state law! This is for your own safety as well. Anything sold by us may be legally consumed at your campsite and is covered under our winery ABC permit. Camp host can’t go to bed until all campers are checked in so no late night arrivals please! Thank you for your understanding. Adult horseback trail rides are available at nearby Springmaid Mountain Retreat. Maps provided to Springmaid Mountain. All minors must have ADULT supervision at all times at the winery next door (older siblings do not qualify as adult supervision). If we are babysitting your children to keep them out of danger or from damaging our property you’ll be asked to leave. We want everyone to be safe. Up to 2 dogs are allowed per campsite. Dogs Must remain on leash at all times and have proof of up to date rabies vaccination. We have chickens and horses on our mini farm so please keep dogs under control at all times. Also, please do not feed our chickens, horses or any of the wildlife on our property. It is the responsibility of our campers to check the weather conditions, noting any burn bans for the area or rain etc, looking at all the rules and property details, before booking is the campers responsibility. Please do not blame the host! HipCamp now offers rainy day insurance Watch for our special events like ghost story campfire tales/walk with local guest authors, mountain yoga, herbal remedies classes, trail treasure hunts with prizes, mushroom identification classes etc. Additional parking is available for added cars in the guest parking lot area if campers have no more room at their campsite for visitors or any extra cars. We have a hot/cold shower and modern style flush toilets available in large cargo container. We also now have free Starlink WiFi in the Cantina/clubhouse area and some of the closer tent sites. Our clubhouse stays open for campers 24/7 with a microwave available, games, television and comfortable seating areas. Note: The quarter mile of gravel drive is steep but I drive my two wheel drive car up and down it every day. However, if you have a vehicle that chugs and struggles up hills (older RV etc) you may find it a challenge. We are working on getting that section paved to help out the older RVs and buses. Note: The gray building and pond area is NOT our property. Do not wander around our neighbors pond /barn area. Thank you! All campers are expected to read and follow the HipCamp guidelines. This is not just a ‘business’, it is also a family home that we are graciously sharing with you for a small fee so we expect campers to respectful of our land, our neighbors and your fellow campers. Anyone who can’t show integrity, maturity and be responsible and respectful of this will be asked to leave and/or permanently banned from both the winery and our campgrounds. No fighting! This includes couples fighting. Settle it 'off property'. We are pretty mellow, yet take bad behavior and disrespect for others very seriously. Unsupervised children has been a huge problem lately and we simply won’t tolerate very young children wandering the woods, running across other folks campsites, deliberately damaging our property etc. It is up to the parents to fully supervise their children and keep them safe! Caught without a last minute hotel room and rather not park your family in Walmart lot? We offer car camping in our parking lot for $15.00 a night. You’ll have access to bathrooms and a hot shower! We also have tents, sleeping bags and camping mats for rent. Summer of 2025 will be our third year open and there have been many wonderful improvements! ❤️ We made it through Hurricane Helene with minimal damage and with the help of some kind volunteers we have some great updates!

Simple tent site on comfortable mulch bed nestled along the tree line yet a short distance from the bathrooms and showers. Fire pit at site. Fits a 10 x 10 size tent and smaller. Short walk from guest parking to this site. This is not a ‘park at site’ spot. Close to wooded area so a lot of wildlife at this location. There is a back trail to reach this site. Please ask host for instructions. We are here to assist at all times. Close to the common fire pit area where all campers and winery guests can mingle. If you need seclusion we recommend the Gold Dust, the Quartz, the Moonstone or the RV site ‘the Palomino’. The secluded sites cost a little more. We are located just around the corner from Emerald Village Gem Mines and Mining Museum. Trails for hiking/jogging on property. Only a 5 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Little Switzerland. 5 minutes drive to the scenic Diamondback motor route. 20 minutes drive to Crabtree Falls and a 30 minute drive to Linville Falls. Our on site cantina is now open and serves small batch home brew ciders and beers for age 21 and older. Sodas are also available for purchase. ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL brands permitted on premise! This goes against NC state law for winery/breweries and against our policy. As of Jan. 2025 no one under the age if 13 may camp overnight at our campground. Younger children may visit the winery during open hours but must be with an adult (18 or older) at ALL times! Guests park at the guest parking area and have a ten minute walk back to this campsite (again, not a park at site). Ten minute walk down paths to bathrooms/showers. Has spot for up to 4 hammocks. If you do not like primitive camping back amongst the trees and critters this site is not for you! Must be age 13 and older to camp at this site. No one under the age of 13 may camp overnight at our campground. Younger children may visit but must be with an adult (18 or older) at ALL times. A large 12x12 raised bed tent site that can accommodate up to 10 people. A 16 ft or smaller RV will fit in the parking area or 2 vehicles. Additional parking available at guest parking lot. Large fire pit area. Hiking trails on property. 2 dogs permitted on leash at all times. Just around the corner from Emerald Village and only 5 minutes drive from downtown little Switzerland. Hot/cold Shower and bathroom located at nearby cantina. Winery cantina is now open and serving small batch cider wines and beers for ages 21 and older. Absolutely no outside alcohol or under age drinking permitted! All campers must obey NC state and federal laws! Coffee and Sodas are also available for purchase. Adult horseback riding available at nearby Springmaid Mountain Resort. Maps provided. 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Only a 20 minute drive to beautiful Crabtree Falls. We sell firewood. You may bring your own firewood as long as it’s not from out of state. Please don’t scavenge for wood on the property. No one under the age of 13 may camp overnight. Younger children may visit but must be with an adult (18 or older) at ALL times! Our farm can be a dangerous place and we have zero tolerance regarding unsupervised children. Note: No late night check ins please. This is not a self check in facility and all campers are asked to check in no later than 11:00 pm. Gate closes at 11:30 pm out of consideration for your fellow campers and our neighbors. Thank you!

A refurbished 1986 RV that sleeps up to four people (70" long 40" wide area at table section). Queen size bed with doggy bed beside Queen bed. Two dogs permitted. picnic table, fire pit, microwave. Firewood for sale. You may bring your own firewood if it’s not from out of state. Please do not scavenge for wood on the property. At this time only toilet/sink works. Hot showers available at clubhouse. No oven. Hiking/jogging trails on property. Adult horseback trail rides available at nearby Springmaid Mountain Resort. Maps provided. We are around the corner from Emerald Village Mines and only a 5 minutes drive to downtown Little Switzerland and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are also located 5 minutes away from the famous Diamond back scenic mountain route. We are approximately a 20 minute drive to Crabtree Falls on the Blue Ridge Parkway. 30 minutes drive to Linville Falls. Additional parking available in guest parking lot. Please note all overnight campers must be age 13 or older due to farm. A very spacious site. Our clubhouse cantina is open and serves small batch beers and ciders for age 21 and older when winery section is open. Photo ID required. Sodas available for purchase. Absolutely no outside alcohol is permitted on winery grounds or the campgrounds area. This is NC state law for winery/breweries and our policy! Our clubhouse area is open 24/7 and has a microwave, television, various board games and seating area. Again, No one under the age of 13 may camp overnight at our campground. We also require adult supervision of visiting minors at ALL times (an older sibling under the age of 18 does NOT qualify as adult supervision) If we are forced to babysit your young children to prevent accidents and/or damage to our property our visitors/campers will be asked to leave without a refund. Your children are your responsibility at ALL times! Parents/guardians are financially responsible for any accidental or intentional damages by their children. Please do not feed any of the animals on farm or trespass onto the gray buildings/pond area below us! A young family lives there and you’ll frighten their little girl. Location Location Location! Chrissy & Tony run an awesome hidden gem that’s remote yet convenient. You’d never know it’s a scenic 5min drive to Crabtree Falls, Little Switzerland, Emerald Mine, a café; 15min to Walmart, Gillepsie Gap, Stony Knob; 40mi to Linville Falls (book a tour it’s worth it). Clearly a lot of thoughtful details & love are poured into this place. Flower gardens buzzed w/ hummingbirds & overall there’s relaxing peaceful deadhead vibes. There’s hot dogs/ice cream, chickens/horses, AND a farm across the street sells fresh eggs/meat where you can pet goats/cows. The cider was a really pleasant surprise! I’ve spent a LOT of time in VT (so tbh I had low expectations), but it’s actually great! Unlike most cloyingly sweet NC ciders, they offer real range in strength/flavors & had both non-sweet/non-alcoholic options. We booked the Ruby which was pretty but in full sun, so we switched to the Emerald and we loved it! Although Emerald is near the bathroom so there’s light pollution, it wasn’t that bad & we could still stargaze. It’s harder to tell the diff b/w the sites based on online descriptions/pics, so I relied on reviews to choose my site. Upon arrival I realized it’s b/c all sites are curved C shapes. To help future campers, I added pics of some diff sites w/ captions to try and help describe them. Overall for the price, location & amenities, this can’t be beat. We had a relaxing time & will absolutely be back. If you’re on the fence, just book it!

Chrissy has created some beautiful spaces to enjoy. Was up there in July and the flowers were everywhere. Don't give up on the windy gravel road because beaty lies just beyond.

The place was fabulous. Chrissy couldn't have been more cordial or accommodating. The grounds were very peaceful and quaint. There were hiling trails with little surprises along the way ! The horses and animals were just a bonus. And don't forget to try the homemade ciders at the brewery the are the BEST I've ever had.

My husband and I loved our stay here! The campsite was exactly as pictured. It was private and quiet, and just a few steps away from the cidery/brewery. All the beer and cider we tried was delicious, our favorite was the frozen wine it was so good highly recommend! The hosts were kind and responsive with great hiking recommendations. I would highly recommend this campsite!! Thank you for our incredible stay, we can't wait to go back!

I enjoyed all the fun, whimsical touches to the campground and walking trails. Everything I tried at the brewery was amazing! There was also a lot of fun games and place to hang out with friends. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. It’s obvious they have put a lot of thought into how to make their campground welcoming and peaceful.

Amazing place to camp! Magical. So many thoughtful touches everywhere. The campsites and property are landscaped in such a way you feel complete privacy and like you are camping in the secret garden. Facilities were very clean. Location was great for exploring and activities- we enjoyed music at Altapass and a visit to Emerald Village and exploring property grounds. We enjoyed beverages at the clubhouse and all the chickens. Definitely will stay again!

We had such an amazing time here. This place is a dream. You will not find better, probably at all, but for the price... There's no question. The camping sites are adorable and functional and the trails are well maintained, the horses and chickens, nature, shower, two flush toilets, indoor hang out or out door hang out, games, drinks, snacks, and the best feature- the kind patient welcoming funny and generous hosts who also continued a gem hunt all weekend long. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area. Pet friendly too!!!

This is a sweet little campground! Each space is cozy and welcoming, and so much attention to detail has been put into it! I love that it’s on top of a mountain, on a working farm that is also a cidery, winery, and brewery! Both Chrissy and Tony are wonderful and helpful! As a single woman camping by myself - I felt safe there! The place, the drinks, the location, and atmosphere are all quite pleasing to me! Highly recommended!

Love this place. Friendly cute animal friendly. Out there, but a nice scenic drive leading to such a cozy comforting place. Chrissy was phenomenal. So helpful and kind. Would recommend 10x over. I stayed at the Mica tent camping site and my only regret of staying here was that I didn't stay here sooner! This was on the very last night of my trip down in Pisgha. Although it rained super hard through the night, the pad they had for the tent held up extremely well! Chrissy and Tony have an amazing piece of property, quirky set ups and funny signs hung around with gardens and plants all around the property! I felt like I fit right in! They were so so kind and generous and made it feel so inclusive. I genuinely wished I had been able to spend more time there, I admittedly loitering around the morning before checking out because I couldn't get enough of it! They have a neat hangout spot with games and seating where they sell various items and their beverages. There were also cats and dogs in the property and that's always a plus in my book! All of this to say I hope to be able to stay here again. Words cannot express the wonderful place this is! You gotta stay here and see for yourself!

Chrissy and Tony were fabulous hosts! It was a really rainy weekend, so I especially appreciated the heated common space complete with dinners and yummy cider! Since the rain kept us indoors, it was wonderful that Chrissy and Tony had karaoke and board games to keep us entertained.

I can’t say enough good things about the campground and Chrissy and Tony. The weekend was a washout weather wise but we still had an awesome time. What an amazing and cool place ! The hang out spaces were great , filled with character and games. A rustic vibe mixed with colors and a fantastic and clean shower space. My time was quick here , but I wish I spent more. Such a great friendly atmosphere ! I’ll be back for sure !

We had a great stay here! We stayed at The Ruby site which is a walk-to site, a short walk from the parking lot & building with bathrooms. It was very peaceful and quiet. The bathrooms were very clean and the camp host was welcoming and friendly - she even gave us some fresh eggs. Would recommend!

I love this place! It is truly a bubble of peace. This was my second visit. Tony and Chrissy are so kind and generous. I will go back as often as I can. There is some great walking trails and wonderful waterfall hikes close by as well.
