Hey tent campers: Welcome to Boulder Creek Hideaway. It's located about 12 miles North of Burlington, NC. 1 Mile off of the highway. It is very private, and seculed, no humans around. It's just one 12x16 tent platform next to this beautiful natural rock formation, you might think you're in the mountains. The drive into the camp is best suited for 4x4, Jeeps, SUV and such. Its not suited for cars!! (But there is a parking place for cars if you want to park with a short 200 yard walk into camp). The camp offers a natural Rock firepit, a very nice clean, non smelly outhouse with composting toilet, a picnic table and a prep table for your campstove and supplies. Hey, off road enthusiasts! Beautiful place, was able to drive up in my front wheel drive but only barely! If it's rained in the past week, you'll need 4wd or AWD or something to make it all the way up by car

Nice place to camp. Marty provided great instructions on getting there. Outhouse is clean and has no smell. A little buggy, but bring spray and you’ll be fine — it’s camping after all!

This was a perfect getaway in the Triad. It was easy to access (a short walk from a parking spot in my subcompact car, with campsite-adjacent parking if you have AWD), the amenities (platform, solar lights, outhouse, fire pit) were stellar, and the creekside setting is gorgeous. The canopy was so lush that the light morning rain didn't even reach us. The host met us and made sure we had everything we needed, and then we got to enjoy the serenity on our own. Would absolutely stay here again.

I had the pleasure of staying at Marty’s property by the creek, and it was an incredible experience! The spot was perfect – a well-kept platform for the tent, a picnic table, a cooking table, and a comfortable wooden chair by the fire pit. Our dogs had the time of their lives running freely, and the entire setting was peaceful and beautiful. Marty was a fantastic host, offering helpful tips and ensuring we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Boulder Creek Hideaway
Marty’s setup is amazing! The platform is built right along the creek, so it was perfect to sleep to the sounds of the water. Every detail is so thoughtful- the string lights even provided enough light that I didn’t need my lanterns, and ended up placing the down near the rocks so my dog could wander down at night. There was a spot or two along the drive to the site that looked like it could have been some trouble if the path was really wet, but the host even met me and directed me where to go. We can’t wait to come back!

Great spot to get away for the weekend. Marty is very helpful and responds quickly. The spot had everything you may need and the sound of the creek is so soothing! Will definitely visit again.
