Welcome to your mountain getaway! Nestled on 35 private acres in Deep Gap, NC, our peaceful retreat is just 12 minutes from Downtown Boone and 1 mile from a Blue Ridge Parkway access. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, this is the perfect spot to set up camp and take in the beauty of the North Carolina mountains.
Wake up to crisp mountain air, shaded forests, and trails right on the property. The property has a number of springs, 2 creeks and many small waterfalls. Abundant wildlife including deer and turkey although as this is a primitivae campsite you may see or encounter a variety of other native species!
You'll be compeltely off the beaten path but are only minutes from some of the area's best attractions:
Downtown Boone – 12 minutes away (restaurants, shops, breweries)
Appalachian Ski Mountain – 18 minutes away (winter sports & year-round views)
Blowing Rock – 25 minutes away (via a beautiful drive along the Blue RIdge Parkway - quaint mountain town with shops and hiking)
Julian Price Memorial Park & Lakeside Trails – 35 minutes away
Grandfather Mountain & Mile High Swinging Bridge – 30 minutes away

Site Amentities
Large flat tent sight (an old logging deck) can easily accomdate 6 tents and is easily accessible with a 4wd. If you dont have a 4wd its about a 100 yard walk from the road to the tent site.

Firewood ($5.00 per bundle)

Two clear mountain creeks (one easily accessible) run through the property, adding peaceful background sounds and cool places to dip your toes after a day of hiking. Wildlife is abundant, and areas of canopy provides shade in the summer and brilliant colors in the fall. Whether you’re chasing quiet mornings with the mist rolling through the trees or starlit nights with nothing but the sound of a babbling creek, this land delivers an authentic Appalachian experience.
We currently offer one large primitive tent site that accommodates up to 6 tents (max 12 campers). The site is flat and gives you the freedom to set up camp your way. There are no hookups or amenities here—just fresh mountain air, privacy, and space to roam. It’s a place for explorers, families, or small groups of friends who want to unplug, stretch their legs, and get lost (in a good way) in the woods.
The property’s size makes it easy to spend an entire weekend wandering without leaving. Follow the creeks, scramble across hillsides, or simply set up a hammock and listen to the forest. If you want to venture out, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Rocky Knob bike park, Boone and Blowing Rock are only a short drive away, offering hiking, overlooks, dining, and local charm.
This is wild land, intentionally kept rustic. Pleaes be prepared for wildlife as food will need to safeily stored at night. Bring everything you need, pack out what you bring in. If you’re looking for a base camp where nature is the star and the experience is truly your own—this Deep Gap retreat is waiting for you.
