We are a family farm. Established in the 1970s we have lots of local wildlife and water fowl. We have chickens. A lake that is stocked with catfish,brim and bass /I l The sunsets are incredible. And when the full moon is over the pond it is an amazing sight. You can relax here by the pond or venture out to explore historic down town New Bern ,or head the the beach located in Morehead, Swansboro, and the surrounding areas. Check the local Restaurants and the local shops as well. Throughout the year we are surrounded by many different festivals as well. You can listen to the crickets and the birds chirping, and watch the squirrel as they jump and run from tree to tree.we are close to the beaches and are in close proximity of the national Forrest as well. And there are quite a few golf courses near to us as well. We are a work in progress and would be considered primitive Campground. This camper is located to the right of the main entrance. It has its own driveway. It has a lake view. , and a fire pit and a table and chairs set up on site. This camper does not have electricity but there are battery powered lights inside the camper and solar lights as well. There are berries growing during the summer season also

Lakeside cabin #1

Lakeside cabin #1 is located right beside the lake on the left as you pull into the farm. It has a queen size bed and a set of bunkbeds . It has a small dining table and 2 chairs . It also has 2 book shelves with an assortment of books and games. And puzzles. There are battery powered lights throughout the cabin creating a relaxing environment for anyone wanting to unwind from a long week. The sunsets are lovely as gentle breezes cool the evening.

Peace and quiet at its best

Susan was very understanding with our slightly altered arrival time and greeted us at the entrance. The whole place was very quiet and full of nature. Ducks. Geese, Frogs, Crickets and even several Deer. Such a peaceful place to end a weeklong vacation. Highly recommend!

This site was what I was looking for in a camping site! The nature sounds,the sunsets the various animals around are all wonderful. There is a nice fire pit already there and a porta potty on site. You need to bring your own water,which I didn't mind. It does say there's a place to put your trash on the website but I didn't see it so we just took it with us. The site is large enough to accommodate my huge tent (naturehike village 13) and 2 full canopy covers and had plenty more space available as well. It was for the most part very quiet few cars here and there but it was hardy bothersome. It wasn't a maint hwy or anything like most campsites are near me just private roads. Susan and her husband was very nice and did check in on us from time to time. She will sell you some firewood of you run low or can't find enough loose dead fall to suit your needs! There are cottonmouths around we saw some in the pond nearby but I sprayed some clove/cinnamon oil mixed with water spray all around our site and had no issues. Heard a coyote the second night which was awesome to listen to but they didn't want anything to do with us, just after the various game nearby. Overall very wonderful relaxing trip! We setup a shower as well. So plenty of room.

Booked last minute for a spontaneous roadtrip. Susan was a pleasant and hospitable host. She’d even texted to check on us a couple times during our stay. The spot was exactly as described and my friend and I we’re even visited by a group of ducks waddling around the tent before flocking off into the pond on our last morning. Outdoor toilet had toilet paper and did not smell bad, we’d even got to cook over a fire using the fire pit they left for us. Close proximity to New Bern and definitely worth consideration if looking for a place to stay. Make sure to bring bug spray though

This is great place to camp. Lots of privacy, beautiful setting, and a very friendly, accommodating host. If I am ever back in this area, I will definitely camp here again. And the host has plans to keep improving the area.

It’s a nice spot on the skirts on New Bern. Lovely farmland, ponds, and cool sounds. Roosters started up early though!

Susan was super sweet, and the site is peaceful. Bring bug spray since mosquitos and ticks are everywhere during the summer, but that’s not a reflection on the site. Would definitely recommend this site!

Very nice pleasant place to stay the wildlife was fantastic watch the geese take off from the lake fly right above me dogs had a wonderful time there too and my tent broke and they were more than willing to help me fix it in a timely manner

I liked it. It was a great representation of NC. The animals were spread out, so I could hear and observe them without being disturbed. I really enjoyed watching the waterfowl. Susan was very responsive, and on-site she was the epitome of southern hospitality.

Super nice when we arrived, It’s a very beautiful place great fishing, caught tons of fish, nice shady area’s. I 100% recommend Susan’s land if you want a good place to go with the kids or family to do fishing or camping.

We spent a really enjoyable night alongside a beautiful small lake. The fish were jumping and on the far side shore two children were frolicking in the water. When the sun set we made a log fire in the fire pit, played guitar and sung love songs to each other. As the sun set we had beautiful views and reflections over the still water. I would recommend this camp to anyone who loves nature and serenity. Regards Sid and Tina Waihi, New Zealand

My son and I had a great time camping on the water. The host was great. They checked in on us and made sure we had everything we might need. They also supplied the firewood. Can’t wait to go camping there again.
