Nothing but a wonderful experience. The camp site was beautiful with so many thoughtful components and little touches; they even had drinking water. It’s better than a hotel for someone who likes camping. You really only need to bring your tent and food.
Site was Equipped with fire wood, wooden platform to set up your tent, and the picnic table area was also covered. The outhouse was very clean.
At the lakeside the fire pit area was perfect. Many seats to choose from. You can sit down by the lake or at the fire pit and see the beautiful mountain across the lake or just adore the lake itself.
We also used the canoe to paddle around the lake. I swam twice at the beach area. Water was clean and warm.
The owners were very kind and all the instructions were thought of.
I would give 11/10. Recommend wholeheartedly.

We loved camping here at our little whimsical oasis! The pups had a great time exploring the property and we loved that there were different sections (sleep section, camp fire section, beach section and our palm little trail). We would definitely stay here again if looking to camp in the area.

Excellent campsite! If you like to be in the middle of nowhere with no camping neighbors, this spot is for you. Its queit and peaceful. The water is really warm to swim in, and the paddleboards and canoe are lots of fun. There isn't a lick of garbage anywhere! Very clean place. The outhouse is also realy clean and nice. This spot is perfect for your off leash dog to trounse about freely. There are a lot of camping supplies here. We didn't need to bring any chairs or our canopy as there is a canopy covered picnic table on site, and plenty of seating all throughout the site. There are plenty of other things too, like pots and pans, playing cards, etc.
I highly recommend this campsite!

For those who are looking to introduce themselves or their family to camping off the grid, this is the perfect spot. This property gives enthusiasts the chance to enjoy camping privately, with beautiful scenery, and added activities for fun. But just in case, the owners still give you some “minor” amenities just incase you’re not ready for “real” camping. Also the owners are great wonderful people, who keep this area well maintained, and are very informative to help you enjoy your stay and / or care to explore the surroundings. This property should not be overlooked, I personally got a chance to test and show my rugged camping skills to my young children, but also had a peace of mind , the owners provided us with stuff just incase. This trip definitely made it to our family memories. Thank you!

Wonderful place! Isolated and quiet. Great views. The beach with a canoe and paddle boards was fantastic. Setting up camp was hard work, but easy once settled. Great fire pit, large deck for the tent. The mess tent with netting saved us from the black flies. Even the out house had space age technology.
The bladder shower needs a little more sunlight 😎. Our dogs Cane (Lab) and Whip (English C.S.) had the time of their life.

We loved our stay here! The site is super private and big. It feels really magical walking through the forest to the site. It was nice being able to use the mini fridge in the barn and have a WiFi spot there as well. The covered picnic table is also nice to have if there’s rain. We will definitely come back again!

The location of this campsite is spectacular, and the camping area is so nicely set up! Denise goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is wonderful. There are many things to do on the property as well, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, swimming. My kids especially loved going on the gnome trail near the campsite, and making fairy houses.

We were looking for a quiet camp with some privacy from other campers, water to fish on, and some area for our dog to romp around. We got exactly what we were looking for at this HipCamp in Stony Creek. Our hosts were extremely hospitable and kind. This camp has everything you’d want in a weekend getaway and allows you to pack pretty light. There were lots of amenities available including a canoe, fire starters, solar shower, chairs, kitchen items, and so much more. The property is very scenic and perfect for anyone that just wants a reprieve from the day-to-day. I would highly recommend taking a trip to Stony Creek and we will definitely consider returning in the future.

10/10! This is the PERFECT site. The grounds are beautiful, the site goes above and beyond. They provide a wagon to bring your things down the forest path and down a small hill to the bottom of the site. The water access here is mucky and good for launching a canoe but not for swimming or fishing. There is a firepit, firewood and seating. To your right there is a stepped path up to the wooden platform to pitch your tent on. A short path from the platform leads you to a canopy covered picnic area with a picnic table and cabinet that is the perfect spot to put your camp stove. There is a shower area and an outhouse which is incredibly clean and well stocked. There are solar lights a plenty!
If you walk back to your car and continue down the drive a short distance there is a bench with a hotspot for wifi and a sign directing you to the private beach. The beach has two adirondack chairs and they have canoes and paddle boards they provide for you to use. The beach is sandy and quiet, its very private and the perfect place to swim. We used the canoe to fish the lake and caught mostly pickerel, a small bass and a huge sunfish. I can't say enough good things about the site and host, Denise, who is incredibly kind and friendly as well as provides excellent information and instructions. Thank you for sharing your wonderful property!

Gorgeous camping! Very well organized, has everything you need, very helpful friendly host. Beautiful secluded campsite. We really enjoyed the canoe and paddle boards. Warm beautiful lake, not many people around. Lots of hiking to do nearby. One of our favorite camping experiences, and we are big tent campers! Had a lovely family adventure. Strongly recommended.

PROS:
- Denise is a fantastic host. Her advance information / instructions were clear & thorough and onsite she was so friendly & helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed.
- The site itself is really nice. Very pretty, 100% private with a campfire area close to the water (a huge freshly stocked wood pile and a canoe), a perfect area to hang hammocks, and then up a small hill is an awesome platform to set up the tent (with hooks to tie down). A dozen or so steps away is a large picnic table with an easy-up and cooking area (comes pre-stocked with a lot of camp essentials), a solar shower, and an outhouse.
- It is remote enough to be completely without service (good for those who really want to disconnect) but has a Wifi hotspot on the property just a short walk away from the site for you to load daily weather updates etc.
- Further down the driveway is a private beach on the lake with paddle boards and floats!
CONS:
The walk from where you park your car to the site itself is just far and hilly enough to be taxing when you have to lug all your gear back and forth (although they provide a big cart which was SUPER helpful). But since this is bear country (YES we saw a bear at night during our stay!) you really do have to store your food & trash in the car or the barn when you are not onsite and at night. Those that are not good at pulling a heavy cart up and down hill keep that in mind!

We absolutely loved our stay at Stony Creek and could not say enough good things! You know it’s a good trip when you’re two high energy dogs can’t keep their eyes open while sitting by the campfire at night. They had the time of their lives being off leash, from swimming in the lake, to paddle boarding, to going on nearby hikes! We loved that it was the only campsite on the periphery yet still had a solar shower and outhouse on site. We would recommend this site to anyone!

This campsite leaves little to be desired. I was originally apprehensive about spending a bit of extra money to rent a campsite, but this one is worth it! Secluded, little to no traffic nearby, and quiet as can be with multiple acres of land to yourself. The host is wonderful especially with communication, the camp site is extremely well maintained, and with the shower, necessary kitchen tools, outhouse, platform, fire pit, canoe, paddle boards, and a hot spot, there’s truly not much you need but some food and a tent! There is lots of wildlife, endless hiking trails of varying difficulties within 10 minutes or so, and again nothing like the quiet peace of sitting at the camp fire next to the lake. Highly recommend and we plan on visiting again

Denise was fantastic and her property is amazing! The canoes, paddle boards and overall lake vibe was perfect.
The camp ground came with an abundance of fire wood and a lovely netted area for eating without the disturbance of insects.

This site, entire area, and the host Denise was so lovely. One of my favourite campsites I've ever stayed at.
The site itself is secluded and has water access with a canoe, there is a raised deck for your tent that keeps you dry if it's raining, and there is a beach around the corner. There is even a fridge down the path a bit if you have anything that might spoil over your trip.
Denise was generous with her tips for things to do nearby and has a well stocked pile of wood, fire starters, and cooking items. Many of these things came in very handy for our stay. My dog loved roaming around the forest and splashing through the water.

What a wonderful experience! The Pines Lakeside Canoe & Camping site is amazing, I can't recommend it highly enough. The setting is perfect, from the fire pit right by the edge of the lake, to the elevated platform where we pitched our tent, you couldn't ask for a cleaner more well maintained site. The host was excellent and communicative. She gave perfect instructions and all the amenities were in perfect condition. We will certainly be going back. The entire stay was magical from the sunset, to the beautiful starlit night sky, followed by a smooth morning paddle around the lake. Thank you for the obvious attention to every detail!

This 13 acre property is amazing! Truly a one of a kind experience. With a beautiful fire pit right in front of the lake and an elevated platform for your tent and many other amenities! So many trails around for exploring. So many different species of mushrooms and birds. We will definitely stay again!
