The land was lovely, the animals were sweet, Tommy was so friendly and made sure we knew he was available if we needed anything, and it was handy to have access to the indoor bathroom.

Spring lake retreat on the farm
We had such a wonderful birthday trip on Tommy’s land and in the surrounding area. Our site was the hilltop overlooking the rolling hills on one side and the forest on the other. It was perfect! Very private although the other site down the hill wasn’t occupied. They are spread apart quite a ways and both have picnic tables and fire rings. Tommy and his wife, Laura, both very nice and generous hosts, brought us plenty of free wood for our stay. Upon check-in, he greeted us and was very hospitable, offering suggestions for area must-sees for scenery, parks, wineries, food etc. They do offer usage of a flush toilet and sink in the end of their house, if desired. We’re pretty self-contained campers and didn’t utilize them. The property is very neat and clean in a rural area. We especially loved seeing the horse and cows each day as we are both originally from small farming towns. We would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone wanting a serene getaway with beautiful landscape and gracious host. Was a perfect trip! While you’re here, check out the Chimney Bluffs on Lake Ontario. They are super cool!

A beautiful and well cared for campsite set on the top of a hill, at the edge of the woods and overlooking the endless rolling hills. One of the most peaceful night’s camping that we have ever had. Tommy is an exceptional host who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Feeding his 15 friendly cows was the highlight of the day for my wife. Just a few miles to Chimney Bluffs SP, Wolcott Falls and Sodus Point, I highly recommend this property. We will definitely be returning!

This is a gem of a hipcsmp! Tommy is so friendly and eager to show you around. The animals are well cared for and the camping spots are peaceful and lovely. We loved it and highly recommend staying here. We were only one night but I could see staying longer to explore the lakeshore.

Thank you Tommy for lovely experience at your hip camp! The campsite was beautiful, spacious well maintained with wonderful views! We had stunning sunrise over your farm land. Tommy was very attentive every step of the way even he was out of state at that moment . He left as treats for the cows to feed, (which had adorable name tags on their ears) he also left us fire wood to enjoy. Thank you again we would definitely come back when in the area. Tommy is the coolest host ever so nice and accommodating he let us feed the animals that was fun and took us on a long gator ride. Around the whole property picked fresh cherries off the tree and ate them he ‘‘twas very knowledgeable about where to go in town and surrounding places can’t wait to go back and see what his place is like in the fall with all the pretty changing leaves colors if u get a chance to stay here call him up you will have a great time

The hosts were very helpful. The site felt calm and private, even with other campers in another site. Only thing is the bathroom is far from where you camp, but you can drive there if needed. Great places to swim and hike near there!

Tommy and Laura were amazing hosts. We got to feed the cows, they gave us some firewood, and took us on a tour of the property! Bathroom was clean and site was private. Stayed on the last night of our roadtrip and could not have been a better end.

Lovely private sites with fire rings and picnic tables and views! A real bathroom, with running water. Tommy was so generous with time, greeting me, showing me around, and giving a lay of the land. Beautiful natural setting, very well maintained sites. Sweet cows to say hello to in the morning. Thanks Tommy for a lovely stay!

We booked at the last minute due to some mechanical issues and Tommy was up mowing the spot for us as we arrived an hour later. He brought us firewood and gave us our space. A lovely site at the top of a hill, partially protected by trees with a bench, table and firepit. Lovely

I was lucky enough to spend several days on Tommy’s farm with my camper and it was beyond amazing. Tommy is a wonderful host! He made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I might need. The land is beautiful. I even spent some time feeding the cows treats. The sites are in good spots and you’re not on top of other campers. I had great fires in the fire pit and was free to explore the land. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay on the farm again.

Had a great weekend at Spring Lake farm while visiting this area in NY. Tommy was there to greet us upon arrival and gave us choice of sites as we were the only guests. Great view from our site and so nice to see all the farm animals. Daughter thoroughly enjoyed feeding the goats too. It was great to have access to the half bath. Thank you Tommy for sharing your farm with us and for the history of the farm and local area. Would definitely return if our travels take us back that way.

We booked Tommy’s place on a whim for one night with our pop up camper. So thankful we found this. Peaceful, private, well cared for and Tommy was the perfect host. We felt welcomed from the minute we pulled in. Our son loved feeding the animals and watching the fireflies at night.

We had the best stay on Tom’s farm and loved every minute. Such a beautiful spot, private and secluded with stunning views. Tom was an amazing host and could not have been more welcoming! He kindly provided us firewood, offered us use of a bathroom, let us explore on his land and even gave us tips for where to visit on our trip. This was our third year at Tommy's farm and per usual it was amazing! He really is so kind and willing to go out of his way to provide whatever you need. If you love cute cows, lots of land, access to wineries, and a secluded place for a large group to camp, this is the place for you!

Tommy was super nice and really responsive. His daughter and grandson showed me the options I had to set up camp, brought me extra firewood, and even picked up something at the store for me when they went to town! That way, the dog and I didn’t have to get back in the car and could get our site all set. Above and beyond! The place was beautiful and peaceful. Our stay was excellent! Highly recommend. Thank you for having us!

This scenic farm Hipcamp is a great camping spot between Rochester and Syracuse along the Lake Ontario coastline in upstate New York. Surrounded by cornfields and Orchards with plentiful walking trails, you are welcome to setup camp in a variety of sites.
The host Tommy was super welcoming, and gave me a full tour of the Hipcamp upon arrival. He was very helpful and communicative! The campsite included a picnic table, bench and fire pit with a bathroom with full plumbing in walking distance.
Highlights include visiting (and feeding) the very friendly farm animals (cows, goats and a horse), walking the property trails, and visiting the nearby Chimney Bluffs State Park.

Tommy was kind and welcoming. We are introverted and quiet people, so we appreciated the welcoming hello and also the quiet, respect of space. The bathroom is off the side of the house and easy to get to. We enjoyed feeding the friendly goats some treats in the morning and took off to see visit Chimney Bluffs. I would absolutely recommend staying here :)

The privacy and sense of being away from it all was amazing. Tommy was there for us whenever we needed and did so much to give our kids a great stay, but we felt totally alone also. Our son was so happy feeding the cows with most of his arm in the baby cows mouths! Amazing stay. Got to sit on the horse and everything. Thanks Tommy! We will be back...

Tom was a fantastic host and very accommodating. We loved feeding the animals and his land provided the perfect setup for tent camping on our way out to Cape Cod after visiting Chimney Bluffs. Lots of sounds of nature at night with owls and coyotes nearby. Would love to go back!
