Laughing Goat Fiber Farm is a working farm, raising exotic fiber animals such as Angora and Cashmere goats, alpacas. The fiber is processed on farm and regionally and everything made from it is hand dyed. Many items are one of a kind and hand made. A small retail shop in our renovated Carriage House showcases the knitting looms that we make items on, as well as knitting machines from 100 years ago. The property has beautiful views overlooking the Cayuga Lake Valley and Ithaca. Hedgerow on peaceful pasture
My boyfriend and I loved tent camping on this land! Lisa was very try accommodating and accepted our request in short notice. Site #2 was beautiful both during the day and at night. It was well maintained and the portable bathroom was clean. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to staying again in the future.

Beautiful property and perfect location if you're looking to get away but still have access to all of the areas local shops and attractions. Lisa was great with communication and made sure we had everything we needed as far as the campsite goes. The platform was a huge plus with it being a bit rainy during our stay!! 10/10 experience!! My daughters and I enjoyed our little get away!

We had an amazing time! Beautiful farm and very close to downtown Ithaca. It was amazing waking up to the goats in the morning. Lisa was easy to communicate with and provided firewood and water. Would stay again!

Goats Take the Stage!

We recommend Laughing Goat! The only downside for us was no time to really enjoy the space. We arrived at dusk and we were off by 8:00a the next morning for a special tour at Cornell Lab’s Sapsucker Woods with some expert birders. We are not experts but highly recommend a visit to Sapsucker Woods. Now back to Laughing Goat where our space was level and our little 20ft., Class B fit easily. Water, fire ring, wood and an exceptionally clean toilet provided everything we needed. The night sounds soothe the soul and waking up to munching goats was fun! Wish we’d had more time to meet the hosts and explore the farm. Thanks for clearing driving instructions also!

This place is adorable!! Great privacy set back from road, easy access to Ithaca and surrounding areas. Gary and Lisa were incredibly kind and welcoming. The goats were simply delightful!

Great spot! We watched the full moon rise over the trees and it was amazing. The campsite had everything we needed. We had shade on the platform by about 2pm. Make sure you take the tour!!! Lisa is so lovely and we really enjoyed meeting all the animals. Oh… and very clean porta potty!

10/10 recommend! Beautiful property with great views and open fields! Lisa was a very kind and responsive host! And the goats! So adorable and awesome! Very close to town for all your needs but feels like you’re in the middle of the country! Potable water source was very clutch! Always nice to have such a simple, but important amenity!

The site and location were perfect. Close hiking to Robert Treman and Buttermilk Falls . The goats on the property were also very cool to walk by and check out ! .

Laughing Goat Fiber Farm was incredible! My kiddo and I chose the platform site, which had shade in the afternoon and hundreds of fireflies at night. The hosts were responsive, kind, and helpful. Ithaca proper was only 8-10 minutes away and many waterfalls were even closer than that. The bathrooms were well-kept, even being serviced during our 4 night stay. It is a truly wonderful place!

For the love of goats!

I almost don't want to leave a review but here goes...This place was exceptional and I really don't want this secret to get out. I would really love to have this place all to myself again. The night sky was mesmerizing and the morning sunrise was stunning. The owners are the sweetest and very responsive to any requests. The goats made no noise and went to bed pretty early. It was a magical weekend and I hope to return with friends. If you visit, please leave no trace and help keep this location exactly the way you found it!

I definitely recommend the hedgerow site, it has a really nice view of the mountain and the wildflower field. Also there are goats living within the hedge that come out to eat in the morning. Lisa and her husband were very friendly and accommodating, I would return if in the area again.

The property was lovely! Amazing for stargazing and the goats were fun to see. However the platform we stayed on had sustained some serious damage recently and I was worried my boyfriend and I were going to break it just standing too close to each other. The platform is not flat and most boards are loose or dipped into the ground. I’d highly recommend the host fix the platform or at least update photos so folks know that it isn’t flat, it caused us some sleeping issues. Overall a great stay close to major parks and stores

We camped at the Platform site & had a relaxing time! I loved to look out over the big field, we enjoyed seeing stars, the large fire pit was great. We got very good use out of the firewood and the BIG JUG OF WATER was really amazing to have for HOT July camping. The porta potty was perfectly clean and fresh. Stormy weather came up once during our stay (including a tornado warning!), fortunately we were in town with a good place to shelter, rather than at the tent. Lisa took time to send messages checking on us, making sure we were ok, and advising when the storm was expected to clear up. Super appreciated! We also liked hearing the occasional goat voice in the distance :)

The farm was absolutely beautiful. The platform, porta-potty and water spout were easily accessible and there was a very nice trail and mowed path around the field and into the connecting forested area. Directions were easy to follow and the surroundings were very comfortable.

Nice little camping spot! Very quiet and peaceful. We didn't take advantage of the goat tour as the temperatures were so hot we didn't want to leave the beach. Goats were super fun to see thru the fence though.
