Tucked where the Rio Grande and Hondo River canyons meet, this high-desert retreat offers wide-open views, privacy, and a connection to New Mexico’s elemental landscape. Just 25 minutes north of Taos Plaza and Taos Ski Valley, the property sits on 6.5 acres of prairie facing the Rio Grande Gorge to the west and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east. Bring your van, camper, or tent and settle into this quiet and immersive expanse of land and wide open skies. You’ll have access to a dedicated electrical hookup (30-amp) and a nearby hose to fill up water tanks. There is no septic or grey water dump connection, so please take out all water waste with you. There is a trash can on the property, pls limit trash to one bag per visit.Perched on a quiet mesa above Arroyo Hondo, this private RV site offers 30-amp power and water hookup, surrounded by vast Taos sky and canyon views. The land sits between two dramatic gorges—the Rio Grande and the Rio Hondo—where they meet far below at the John Dunn Bridge. The road just beyond the house leads to a stunning overlook of the Rio Grande River, perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset stargazing. From there, it’s about a 5-minute drive (or 30-minute hike) down to the confluence at the John Dunn Bridge and Black Rock Hot Spring, a beloved local soak beside the river. Adventurers can also hike about 45 minutes to Manby Hot Spring, another natural riverside pool tucked below the cliffs. Set high on the mesa, you’ll have peace, privacy, and panoramic views—with easy access to Taos (20 minutes), Arroyo Hondo village, and the wild beauty of the gorge trails.
