Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

The Gypsy Rose is a cozy homemade Gypsy wagon. It has a high full-size bed. The second person will have to climb over. There's a small sink and solar lights. it will only sleep 2 people and no pets are allowed inside the wagon. Outside is a paver stone patio, with a Gazebo, table and chairs, and a fire brazier with 4 chairs. there is plenty of room for a couple of tents for your guests. The compost toilet outhouse is just a short walk away, and you are still close to my 4 hiking trails and the pond.

The Medieval Encampment
What a nice place to spend the weekend. Our host responded promptly to all our messages. She was available as soon as we arrived to escort us to our spot. The shelters were great. We really only used the thatched roof shelter, which was clean and comfy. Wood was available for a small fee which is always nice, and we were invited to collect all the kindling from the area. Nice hiking trails in the area along with a small waterfall. It was too cold for swimming, but I bet it’s great in the summer.

Best camp in 2 hour radius Nice sites some open some really secluded Host is great and goes out of her way to make you comfortable. Waterfall and creek to play in if it's warm or your into those cold water plunges. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars only thing missing is electric, which is no problem in fall, winter , spring but in summer I need my AC.

Paradise Valley Homestead is an absolute hidden gem. Cathy and Tom are the best and their property is a beautiful haven. Their enchanted forest goes on forever and the little waterfall brook is amazing. Our grandsons loved it and so did we. We will be back!

Our stay at Paradise Valley Homestead was absolutely amazing! Kathleen was an incredible host who was attentive, welcoming, and accommodating to me and my entire family. The campground itself was beautiful, the location was super convenient, and the moment we arrived, we immediately felt a sense of peace and comfort. My mom, dad, sister, my dog, and I all had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, it rained continuously for an entire day of our trip, so we couldn't get out and explore as planned. However, Kathleen was incredibly understanding and flexible with our checkout time since she didn't have other campers arriving, which we truly appreciated. She even helped us charge our portable power station, making our stay that much more comfortable. I cannot recommend Paradise Valley Homestead enough! Kathleen's hospitality genuinely made our experience special, and it's clear how much she cares about her guests. We left with wonderful memories despite the rainy weather, and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming camping experience. We will absolutely be back!

This campsite was great! It was secluded and large. Not many people close by and people can't see the site from the paths. The night was quiet and peaceful. Kathy was very kind and escorted us to the site on an ATV. She was very helpful and attentive. The bathrooms were very clean too. Would stay again!

Amazing. 5 stars. Spectacularly friendly (and creative!) hosts and property owners. This is such a beautiful, secluded spot that was so easy to get to for the Ren Faire. They allow big groups, so taking a bigger group next time! And even though we stayed on this grassy spot with a tent, car and van… they have some gorgeous glamping sites that we can’t wait to check further — like the Viking-medieval one! As well as several secluded forest sites. There’s also wood ready onsite! See the stars here. And of course take the 10-minute trail to the creek and waterfall. Also, props on such easy and clean toilets 🔥

This was a nice site. Site 5 is on a road with a number of sites around it, but it is surprisingly private set off slightly from the road and separated by trees from the others. I would stay here again. It rained when we were there but the trees really did help when we were loading up the car because we didn't get nearly as wet as I thought we would.

Nice spot in the woods with bonus trails and a little waterfall area to hang out in. We got a great welcome from the host and her sister who we encountered on the way in. The SUV/4WD warning is no joke - I was only able to park at the very bottom of the site because there are rocks past that you definitely need high clearance to get over. The sites aren’t right on top of each other but you can hear the ones near you and should expect to see people walking along the main path. The outhouse was close and very clean, firewood available for purchase near the entrance was convenient.

This was a lovely stay! I drove into the site at nighttime, the campsites are well marked. Glad that I had the jeep for the wooded site. Kathleen and her pup walked by in the morning, and we had a friendly chat. The site had a large cool rock and a nearby waterfall! Would stay again.

Amazing daddy daughter camping trip, it was our second time back and already have the 3rd planned. Site 3 was awesome, centered but secluded, big site. We went in the lake, hiked down to the falls, built a fairy house, explored… then a nice relaxing fire to end the nights. Kathleen is a super sweet, very welcoming. Great memories, hopefully more to come !
