Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation. Each camp site has a small private firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season. There is a wooded site, an open site for self contained campers and tent campers, the "lil log cabin" and a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate. How about camping in a Vintage Camper! We have on its own site a 1965 Trotwood, canned ham style camper. This cozy piece of the past is restored for nostalgic reflection. It has fine appointments, kitchenette, indoor private potty. She will sleep 4 comfortably. Or, stay in 'little log cabin' our cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, extra cot and pack and play. (Sleeps 4). There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and resturants, many deliver. Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throught the area. Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters. For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera. For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants . Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distileries and vineyards all within a short drive of Oak Grove Acres.

Pitch your tent or bring your RV to this quiet rural campsite. Walk a few steps to sit on the Wikecheoke Creek. Have a campfire or just relax and enjoy the natural beauty of this area. If you are in need of anything from the store or prefer a meal out, stores and restaurants are a short drive. Hiking areas are close by. The Delaware River is only 10 miles away as well as quaint Frenchtown on the river. Or, just walk around the very quiet roads of the area and nature trails of The Wickecheoke Creek Preserve and Raritan Township. 53 different species of birds have made this site their home and feeding grounds.

Cozy and quaint; this little vintage Trotwood trailer from the 1960's is restored to original, keeping the old charm and decor. Take a nostalgic trip into the past. Sleeps 4 and plenty of soft pillows and blankets. Past guests have stated in their reviews, "the beds are comfy"! There is a Private indoor potty closet for your comfort. Its Kitchenette has a three burner propane stove for cooking your meals. Sink is conveniently located next to the stove and food prep area. Cabinets hold host provided cups, pots/pans, mini table top grill, mini waffle maker, utensils, napkins, utensils and dishes for serving. Adorable kitchen table with adequate seating for eating, cards, games or intimate conversation. Completing the kitchenette are toaster oven, coffee maker and small fridge. Coffee and tea, sugar, stevia and coffee mate are provided! Room-darkening curtains help keep the sun out if you like to sleep a little late. Your site is in a shady grove of oak and shag bark hickory trees, just steps from the small creek. Also, just steps from the communal fire pit, or enjoy your onsite private fire pit. A load of wood is provided free of charge. An outdoor camp shower is provided for a quick rinse.

Little "Log Cabin" is a cozy one bedroom home with full kitchen, bathroom, one bedroom and living room/dining area. You have quiet privacy on an acre and a half of land, with access to a BBQ, large fire pit and a sitting area at the brook that runs through the edge of the property. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom, and the living room futon sofa can sleep 2 children or 1 adult and there is also a pull out chair, which is roomy for an adult to allow for a total of 4. Wireless is provided for internet and the TV. There is a work space desk area and all kitchen needs are provided with coffee, tea and sweeteners as well. Plenty of parking at this beautiful rural quiet setting, yet only 8-10 minutes from all stores and highways. We are about 3 miles west of Flemington and less than 10 miles from the Delaware River. There are many, many opportunities for hiking, fishing, biking and more. If you are looking to include a visit to New York City, Manhattan is only about 60 miles away and can be accessed from NJ Transit where there is usually free parking.

Respite Under the Stars

The setting and experience was exactly what we needed to pull out out long neglected tent and get back into nature without much fuss. Tom & MaryAnn made it easy with clear information and a welcoming attitude. We pitched our tent for one night and enjoyed the sights and sounds of being in the country. Their field is open, with a clear sky view, rimmed by forested areas. The amenities of firewood, picnic area were exactly as described and perfect for our needs. We had the place to ourselves (2 people) so it felt very private. If you are a larger group, it would be perfect to rent the trailer too. There’s a sweet little private seating area down a short path, along a small creek which was now dry. The birds song was lovely and the fireflies magical. All in all, a delightful respite off the beaten path in NJ. ( There’s also a pleasant roadside Italian bar/trattoria 5 minutes away with a friendly bartender and good wood-fired pizza, if you are like us and didn’t pack dinner).

The place is serene next to the woods. Little added amenities for the things you may forget. Wi-Fi was great for working remote. All the comforts of home in a camp setting. Large fire pit as well.

The camper was not the cleanest. The cushions were stained. The potty closet is so tiny, you can't even shut the door. Also should be noted is no air conditioning. We actually ended up leaving and getting a hotel. Hopefully we can get some of our money back. Has potential, needs some tlc

What a gem!

This spot was absolutely perfect - directions were clear, both Tom and MaryAnn were there to greet us and direct us to our site, and were more than willing to help with some setup! The site was level and well maintained, good water pressure and dependable electric. It’s very private and quiet with a small stream on the property. We would definitely stay again!

This was a great camping site, with woods on one side and a field on the other side, perfect for our dog and a couple of peaceful nights in our campervan. The hosts mentioned that they only schedule one camping group at a time, which is so nice, but there is a cabin + 3 sites (2 for tents/campervans/RVs, and 1 is the stationary pink camper that's available on the campsite). Would be fun to come with a group of friends! There was a nice little stream, and the grass was mowed and campsite kept clean and tidy. Bring tick repellant (as in all campgrounds in NJ). The hosts provided firewood for no fee, and there were optional add-ons for early and late check-in/out, which was a nice option.

Little "Log Cabin"

I loved this cabin!!! You literally only need to show up with food and clothing. Everything else is there. Whatever you need to cook or be comfortable with is there. The hosts are super helpful when I had questions through the app. Took a nice relaxing weekend with my friend and we loved it.

This is the 5th or 6th time I've stayed here - that likely says it all - I like this hipcamp very much - it's private (the owner says hi, but then leaves you on your own), he provides wood for campfire, there is a water spigot, a picnic table. The site I reserve has these things, and I believe another site has electric as well, but I haven't needed that one. It's peaceful, scenic, private - and the owner is communicative, their home is in sight, but not close enough to change the nice privacy. All these things make a great hipcamp. I travel twice a year to and from Maine and Georgia, with 2 dogs, and stay there every time. Highly recommend.

What a perfect little spot! After biking around the area most of the day, this was the ideal spot to rest. Tom and MaryAnn were very accommodating and did a great job making sure the camper had all the essentials. While I didn't get to make a fire, Tom did offer free wood, which is rare on Hipcamp. The location is excellent and is not far from cute little towns like Frenchtown and Flemington. Would love to visit again and explore the area more.

This property was very sweet. Tom and MaryAnn were so helpful and kind. Although you are near the road and not far from their house, once we put our twinkle lights up we were transported into a perfect camping spot and didn’t even remember we were near civilization. Lots of bird activity, which we love. Would definitely come back when we need a quick escape from the city!

Tom and Maryann were both super helpful and made us feel very welcomed and safe! Tom brought us over to our sight and told us to help ourselves to firewood and even brought us kindling to help start our fire! We had such a good and quiet time on their beautiful piece of land! I highly recommend!

This was a fantastic experience. The site itself was private (no other campers) and the host were gracious in meeting us and getting us set up, but we didn’t see them again until we left. It was the perfect getaway for my husband and I in a nice shaded wooded site but with a field right next to us that gave our dog a chance to stretch her legs running for the ball. The added amenities, electric, water (which we didn’t end up using since our little RV had a large enough fresh water tank), and firewood provided made our time even better. This was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The host thought of everything and we definitely plan on coming back!
