A Sanctuary in the Woods on an Off-Grid Cabin property We are Brad and Christine. After leaving high-intensity careers in 2021, we moved here spent years transforming our fixer upper hunting cabin and and 12 acres of woods in to our off-grid haven. As vintage Airstream owners, we understand what makes a great campsite. We have chosen to host a single site-it's wide, level, scratch-free, with a granite firepit, lots of firewood, a hammock, a unique picnic table, screaming WiFi and private trails and it overlooks a spring-fed, cascading brook! You’ll have the cascade and the antique stone bridge entirely to yourselves. The Firepit: Brad built the granite firepit, providing a luxurious spot to settle in on the Adirondack chairs and enjoy a fire. To start your stay right, we include a generous bundle of seasoned firewood for each night of your booking. Extra wood is available as an add on. In case of fire ban: we don't want you to miss the magic of a night by the fire. We will provide a propane firepit insert and the fuel. The Climate: This shaded ecosystem acts as a natural cooler; temperatures here rarely rise above the mid-80s, generally staying a refreshing 10 degrees cooler than the surrounding area. The Connection: While you’ll feel miles from civilization, our high-speed WiFi allows for seamless remote work or "stargazing with a soundtrack." The Wildlife Highway & Trails: New for 2026, we have doubled our private trail system! The beaver lodgeTrail: Step from your site onto a winding mile-long trail through a diverse ecosystem of rare mosses and mushrooms ending at brook. The Beaver Dam Trail: Cross the bridge to explore the beaver dam. Though the "engineers" have moved on due to a recent storm breach, the area remains the heart of our Wildlife Highway. Our game cameras here regularly capture porcupines, bobcats, owls, herons, otters, eagles, and deer. The Layout & Privacy: we live and work further up the driveway in our solar-powered While you may catch glimpses of the red cabin or solar array through the trees, we honor your peace and privacy but we are nearby in case you need something. Convenience: Located just 2 miles off Rt. 16, you are 15 minutes from groceries, pharmacies, gas, and a local campground with a dump station.Brookside Serenity is a private, off-grid boondocking site for self-contained Tents and RVs. Our neighbor’s cows, pigs, horses, and donkeys that are often visible across the road. We also have two friendly dogs (a beagle and a shitzu) who may bark when they spot new guests, or if wild life is visible to them, but keep to themselves otherwise. We live just up the drive in a solar-powered log cabin—close enough for support. A sliver of our solar array and red cabin can be glimpsed through the trees. We'll greet you on arrival, then the site is all yours to enjoy. We do use the driveway, but we work at home and often stay home for days at a time.

The site was clean level and a really nice setting. The host meet us on arrival and was very welcoming. Due to recent weather the cascade was dry but that that didn't take away from our stay at all. The setting is remote, quiet and made for a nice evening. We would recommend the site for a one-night stay or longer if you like peace and quiet.

Christine’s campsite was nicely laid out super maintained and the fire pit was very nice! The axe /star throwing game was a nice touch as well. We enjoyed the walking path to the beaver dam and the 300 yr old hemlock. Very peaceful back there as well. The site is semi private. Christine’s home is close by but far enough away for privacy. The site is next to their driveway and not too far from the road so you do hear an occasional car go by. But it wasn’t too intrusive. Overall a nice little spot and we enjoyed our time there.

Overall this was a nice spot. I wasn’t told there was no water in the brook until I arrived and had already seen for myself and couldn’t cancel. It was a hot weekend so I was banking on water access. The site is in the middle of nowhere (which was preferred for a quiet experience), but the owners drove by my site (attached to their driveway) over a dozen times in the short time I was there. Dirt bikes also went by. You should know you’re right on the owners property and can see their house easily which took away from the private / in the woods feel.

Christine was very responsive to messages. The land was great unfortunately mother nature had other plans and the brook was a bit dry but could still hear the trickle… Christine graciously let us use her cast-iron and it was very much appreciated. All in all it was a great weekend.

Beautiful setting with everything you could think of… Large boulder enclosed fire pit, comfortable, Adirondack chairs, s'more sticks, ax throwing, a unique live, edged picnic table and even a hammock! So stunning. Amazing experience that I highly recommend!!

Beautiful Secluded Oasis

This Hipcamp has been the best we’ve stayed at so far, and we have stayed at some nice places! It is secluded, but still close to places to explore! The town of Wolfeboro is 30 mins away and there is gas and groceries 15 mins away. I scored a great find at an antique shop 20 mins away as you head towards Wolfeboro. Also, once you hit the main road, Route 16, cross that intersection and there is a fun little ice cream shop and country store. There is also Hobbs Brewery 10 minutes away (seriously, try the food truck there). There’s definitely enough to do in the area to keep you satisfied! When you aren’t busy exploring, there is enough to do back at the campsite, like having a fire in the awesome fire pit with plenty of wood to burn, taking a dip in the stream that your site overlooks, and walking the trail to the beaver dam. We heard a whip-poor-will at night as well as ravens during the day which had this bird nerd pretty excited. My husband watched an otter enjoying himself in the stream but I missed the chance to see him 😞 (next time!). Upon arrival, we let our intrusive thoughts take over, and had to reach out to the host to ensure we weren’t lost (I knew we weren’t but my husband wanted to double check 😏). They promptly responded (communication was great with the hosts), and ensured we were on the right track. Trust the directions that are in Hipcamp use the coordinates provided, they are accurate. The site itself is level and easy to back into with our 12 ft camper.

We had a wonderful time camping by the creek. It is a wonderful combination of secluded, and close to amenities. There were plenty of mosquitos, but we were kept comfortable with citronella candles and keeping ourselves smothered in Lavender essential oils. The host were friendly and engaging, but also respected their guest's privacy. There were only 2 of us, bit the campspot has seating for 6-8 people. All in all, it is a wonderful spot and we hope to visit again next year.

Sounds of the brook

Me and my nephew really enjoyed our stay here the sound of the brook was beautiful. We enjoyed the little hike around their property and seeing the different wild life the WiFi was strong and the water was warm and made for a nice bath we appreciated the onsite wood and hammock and the beautiful fire pit a compostable toilet outhouse in the future would be nice but I will be back

We had a last minute change in plans that opened up some free time to camp. Christine was extremely helpful and quick to respond to our request. The campsite was great and just as described. Upon arrival we were greeted and it is immediately apparent they take great pride in their property and ensuring a quality experience for their guests. We will definitely be back to this beautiful spot!

I am so envious of this campsite and all of the beautiful (and artistic!) details Brad & Christine have contributed to this bubbling brook oasis. Christine has so much pride and knowledge of the forest that surrounds the site - I learned so much about old forest growth and spongey ground, the array of vegetation growing along the river, the grandeur of 100+ year old trees, and all the wildlife friends in the area. (I felt absolutely honored to have gotten to meet Frank! The areas porcupine! He keeps to himself and usually is up closer to their cabin rather than the site, but was good to know so I could keep the pup leashed and by my side when he was out.) I slept like a baby with the sound of river waterfalls just outside my tent, it was truly such a beautiful sleep. Christine and Brad have been hipcampers themselves, so I loved how much they learned from visits to other camps and poured that love into making this site cozy and memorable. I'll be returning this summer with some friends as the weather heats up, everyone must experience this spot!

This spot is an absolute gem. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I stumbled onto a hidden paradise. The campsite sits alongside a beautiful brook that winds through the property, complete with miniature waterfalls and the peaceful sound of flowing water all day and night. The ground was perfectly level, which made setting up my rooftop tent a breeze. Christine and her husband are incredible hosts—genuinely warm and welcoming. They gave me a tour of their self-sustained cabin and property like we’d been friends for years. One of the most memorable parts was the path they’ve cleared that winds through the woods and leads to a massive 300+ year-old tree and a tranquil pond with a cozy sitting area. It felt like walking into a secret storybook scene. They’ve thought of everything for campers—firepit, firewood, prongs, marshmallow sticks, even a bag to carry it all. They did have Wi-Fi, though I didn’t use it (and didn’t need it). This place lets you unplug and still feel totally taken care of. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with a personal touch, this is the place. Book it—you won’t regret it.

What a beautiful find! We could’ve happily stayed longer, so peaceful next to the creek. They have created an ideal campsite, level parking, perfect firepit with ample wood, comfortable seating, really nice picnic table, and Nature at her most glorious! Our GPS was confused about their exact location, be sure to read the directions completely AND click on the map provided in the hipcamp app, it gives GPS coordinates that are accurate. Even with my mix-ups, the hosts were very accommodating & talked us through. We realized this place was heaven-on-earth as soon as we arrived, and superbly located for those heading towards Acadia. I only wish we had a few extra days… we left wanting more!

Very nice spot overlooking a brook with an amazing fire location (calling it a pit doesn't begin to describe it). Comes with bench at the fire, chairs and a nice picnic table. Pretty flat. Nice and private, and the owners are super nice and responsive.

We really enjoyed Brad’s site, it was so relaxing. It was definitely worth the drive from Mass. He met us at the campsite and told us what was around. Brad was excellent! I would definitely recommend taking some time to check this spot out!

This is definitely one of my favorite places we have stayed. The subtle brook flowing by the campsite gave us the soundtrack we needed. Great walks around the area, and not far from the downtown area of Wolfborough. We absolutely loved our time and would come back again!

Very private and beautiful site. The site sits on a large, level, well maintained yet wild brookside area which is tucked away a couple miles down a wooded dirt road. Brad came down to greet us and it was reassuring to know they were nearby and reachable but we felt completely secluded. We had a visit from a blue heron while we relaxed by the fire. I would definitely go back if in the area.

Brad was incredibly helpful and kind to talk to. He greeted us directly at the site and showed us around. The site is right on the edge of a beautiful creek and the fire pit/seating area is a wonderful spot to unwind after a day of activities. I absolutely recommend this location for anyone looking for a remote and calming spot to camp out or RV. Thank you again for everything Brad!
