Welcome to a serene campsite tucked in the forest overlooking a cascading brook. Set up camp and let the your immersion in nature begin. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee by the fire or streaming music under the stars, this is a space to both unwind and reconnect. As one guest put it: "Very nice spot overlooking a brook with an amazing fire location (calling it a pit doesn't begin to describe it)." – Mike R. Explore our private nature trail that winds along the brook to the beaver dam. Many of the Hemlock trees you will pass are between 150 to 300 years old. This forest is moist and cool and supports a diverse ecosystem, teaming with life. Though you’ll feel miles from anywhere—strong WiFi helps give peace of mind, making plans, working remotely, staying in touch, or stargazing with a soundtrack. We’re located 2 miles off route 16, the major highway through this area. We feel worlds away, but are only 15 minutes from groceries, pharmacies and an EV charging station. We are 25 minutes from downtown Wolfeboro, nestled along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire’s largest lake. The region is rich with outdoor adventure—hiking and mountain biking trails, paddling on rivers and lakes, and scenic views at every turn. The Cotton Valley Rail Trail is just a short drive away. Craving a seaside day trip? An hour gets you to the coastlines of Maine and New Hampshire—with their rocky outcroppings, sandy beaches, and postcard-perfect towns like Portsmouth, York, Kennebunkport and Ogunquit.Brookside Serenity is a private, off-grid boondocking site for self-contained Tents and RVs. Overlooking a cascading brook in a mature Hemlock and Beech forest. This site includes: Free streaming quality WiFi Granite fire pit with two Adirondack chairs- for safety, there is a fireban in the state of NH as of September 2025. We will update as soon as this changes. Live-edge picnic table Large quick dry fabric hammock A self-serve, pay-as-you-go firewood kiosk, with kindling cracker. Private trail tracing the brook to a 300 year old Hemlock, bench overlooking the wetlands, and a bench overlooking a beaver dam. Axe and Ninja Star throwing game, no blades involved, fun for adults and kids. There are no hookups—guests must be fully self-contained and follow Leave No Trace principles. Pets are welcome, but for their safety, please keep them leashed—porcupines are often around the cabin, but none have been on the site. Wildlife is abundant here. You may spot deer, turkeys, beavers, bald eagles, snapping turtles, porcupines, otters, bears, bobcats, ducks and herons, mink, to name a few. Our neighbor’s cows, pigs, horses, and donkeys are often visible across the road. We also have two friendly dogs (a beagle and a shih tzu) who may bark when they spot new guests, or if wild life is visible to them, but keep to themselves otherwise. We live just up the drive in a solar-powered log cabin—close enough for support. A sliver of our solar array and red cabin can be glimpsed through the trees. We'll greet you on arrival, then the site is all yours to enjoy. We do use the driveway, but we work at home and often stay home for days at a time.
