MT Wooded Hungry Horse Lot
We camped on Zane’s property and it was perfect! When we first arrived there were dogs barking across the street and cows mooing but the noise quickly subsided. Convenient location and tons of space for camping activities. There was a burn ban the weekend we were here but they’re is a fire pit under some apple trees and a picnic table for meals! Would stay here again.

Zane is super responsive and helpful and has a super friendly family. The lot is nicely wooded and pretty flat equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. Conveniently located to Glacier West entrance and within walking distance to restaurants in Hungry Horse for pre-hike breakfast or post-hike dinner and ice cream.

MT Wooded Hungry Horse Lot
Great location for exploring west glacier. The small hobby farm across the street was cool as it reminded me of my youth growing up on something similar. The space was large and well kept. We stayed for 6 nights and easily could have stayed longer with all the hiking, biking and kayaking within a very close proximity.

MT Wooded Hungry Horse Lot
Host was very nice and responsive via app. I would recommend if you just need a place to park to visit Glacier, etc., don’t plan to spend time at the site, don’t have animals, don’t require solar or generator power and don’t mind a loud neighborhood. If you do, you may be interested in the below:
He did warn me of potential noise, both via the listing, as well as a message. It was Fourth of July week and specifically mentioned it may be loud.
Despite the warnings, we were shocked by the noise level. Every afternoon and evening the entire week, not just the holiday, very loud fireworks were being launched from all directions. Most nights until after 1am. There was also loud noise from neighbors yelling, dogs barking, old diesel trucks accelerating, etc.
In addition to the noise, it may not be the best place if you want to walk around the neighborhood, especially with pets. On four separate occasions we had unleashed dogs approach us in the street.
Lastly, the host accurately described the site as wooded. I just confirming that is the case. The trees were nice for shade, and some degree of noise insulation and privacy. However, you will have trouble getting any solar energy anywhere but right next to the street. Generators also aren’t allowed, so plan on either not consuming much electricity or have an extensive battery bank. I had to leave the truck running while connected to the trailer for 20 minutes on the departure day to have enough battery to close the slides.

The site is very nice, it was level enough for our 38" motorhome and very convenient to the West entrance to Glacier. We stayed there Friday Saturday and Sunday nights, We needed to rise early to get into the park without reservations but had quite a bit of noise Friday and Saturday nights. This is not the fault of the host but due to the bar that is a couple of blocks away. Both nights there was a lot of noise between midnight and 3am. The first night it was vehicles roaring away and spinning tires, the second it was the same with some gunshots around 2:40am if my phone would have been in reach I would have called 911. We were getting up at 3:30am so we could do sunrise in the park and the noise made restful sleep difficult. Sunday there was an siren that went off about 9pm that upon investigation I found was to summon the volunteers to the fire department that is 1.5 blocks away. After that it was a quiet night.
If we were going to visit Glacier park again I would stay here if it was Sunday thru Thursday nights but would probably not stay Friday of Saturday night if it were avoidable.

MT Wooded Hungry Horse Lot
Overall, the place is cool. It’s a pretty spot with mountain views and trees all around.
But I wouldn’t call it private. There’s a house directly in front of the property with a huge window, we tried to make that side a bit more private by parking our trucks between us but you can still see neighbors windows and doors through the side of the property.
There’s a “quiet time”, when my friends couldn’t run their generator. Which is a quieter one. But there’s noise all nights from other people around, cars, it sounded like there were gun shots or fireworks, I’m not sure. Probably fireworks.
If you’re camping with a small group of people who don’t mind going to bed early and you’re not a light sleeper, it’s fine. But I wouldn’t call it private.
Zane was very friendly and answered all my questions quickly!
