Close to West Glacier, firewood was provided and worked well to camp at for two nights as long as your a deep sleeper. Otherwise the train running most of the night behind the house is a bit distracting.

As a woman, I was glad to have a friend with me since this site is very dark in the evening, and it is a bit tucked away by the woods. My friend and I arrived in the dark to the campsite, and it was a little difficult to find the site after the initial signage. We enjoyed this nice, flat space to camp and would recommend it since it has quick access to Glacier National Park.

We were lucky enough to be the only ones there so the free wood and use of the picnic table was nice. No table at site so could get crowded if multiple people are there. Porta-potty was clean. Near train tracks so that could keep some people up overnight.

We had a great experience tent camping here! The host family was amazing. They provided us with freshly chopped firewood, and even brought all the young kids over to say hello. We had a great experience!

Was not expecting the campsite to be only feet away from not only the neighboring campsite but a trailer home. Was not secluded, felt unsafe for two women. Did not stay the night.

Not bad first time in glacier

We stayed tenting here and Overall very pleasant experience! Our neighbours on the other tent site were also very fun people to be around. There was a dog I believe belonged to the site owner that had peed on my tent, and came to visit the site off leash at random. Very friendly dog, but also very unexpected and I was a little upset with the pee. Personally I enjoyed the sound of the trains going by but they are VERY close. The tracks must be less than 500m Didnt run into any other people aside from the site managers child/grandchild who also came to converse at one point! Very friendly kid, super personable but again, unexpected. The wifi worked pretty amazing considering the area, and the Porta potty was one of the cleanest id ever seen. There was a hose for some water that we didn’t locate until day 3, but once we found it, it became a wonderful addition to the trip. Also just accross the highway (literally) from a dispensary to anyone who may be interested. It was a great place to be considering it was my first time in the state, and had no bearings on my location or geography!

We liked how close this was to West Glacier. The supplies for a campfire were a treat! You do hear the train a few times day and night. It was not too bad though. There is pretty good wifi too - 5 stars according to our kids ;)

Really great spot to camp. Tent sites are well maintained and the host is really responsive. The only downside is there are quite a few trains that rumble by.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay on Barbara’s land. Absolutely beautiful land and surrounding forests. We felt it was very private and well maintained. Glacier park is less then 10 min drive to the west gate. We took one day to tour the park, next spent the day at Lake McDonald and rented kayaks in Apgar village, another day we explored town and the kids loved the Amazing fun center nearby. Really loved that there was so much to do! Wish we could have stayed longer.

The facilities were very nice, and the campsite was very nice as well. However, cannot get over the loud trains throughout the entire night. Sometimes up to 2 per hour. Barely could sleep at all so we had to find another place to stay.

Amazing location! Just minutes from west entrance of Glacier. This was the cleanest port-o-potty I’ve ever seen. Nice communal fire pit with plenty of wood. We appreciated that the host came and fixed the stove immediately when they noticed us struggling. The tent site was private and the trains weren’t too loud at night.

It was in a beautiful location close to the national park . It was really maintained with a fire pit and bathroom right near the sites . We had such a blast while we were there ! The only issue others may have is there is a pretty active train but we are used to the noises from home .

There are two camping spots, 1 and 2. They are semi open and butt up to the woods. It's nice and quiet with an occasional train that goes by. This spot is perfect and just 6 miles away from Glacier. It's worth the stay.

Secluded spot just out of Glacier

The spot was better than shown on the posting. They currently have 2 camping locations. We were in site 1. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed our time at Glacier and the campsite. The Portable bathroom was freshly cleaned our second day there and was close to the site. A few quick notes, the road is not far away, but quickly became white noise. There is a train that passes the back of the property st times, but dies not blow its horn until it is well down the tracks. Not issues for us, but if you are a light sleeper it is something to consider. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in Glacier.

Noisy but Convenient

We appreciated the location and ease to go to and from Glacier NP. It was simple and met our needs. The one thing to note is that, while out of eyesight, it is possible to hear the train very loudly throughout the night along with noise from the highway. If you're a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.

We loved this camp! The host was so helpful and knowledgeable about Glacier and was able to answer any questions we had. The camp site was very clean including the toilet facilities which were the cleanest of its type that I have ever experienced! Thank you Barbara and Nicole!

Affordable access to GNP

This campsite is a great affordable option to camp within 10m of West Glacier Park. It is, however, really exposed. You don’t have much privacy from the other campsite or the cabins/house on the property. There’s also a really loud train nearby that runs throughout the night. Highly recommend if you’re doing Glacier on a budget, but bring earplugs!
