Bay Walk-In Campsite Adventure

Tent site · Sleeps 8
The Bay Campsite is on Waukenabo Lake. It's a short walk to a very private campsite. Pack in everything you need for your camping vacation. This is great practice if you want to eventually take a real backpacking trip on a hiking trail. Test your camping planning skills of being able to carry it all in one trip on your back! The trail is .23 through the woods and cedars. The "Scheissplatz"-Outhouse-is .51 walk from the campsite. The fresh water pump is also .51 walk near the Outhouse. Bring bugspray! You may gather wood from the forest floor and dead trees. This sites has lots of dry cedar which crackles and sparks when you burn it! Bring your life jacket to go floating in the bay right in front of you! It is shallow and weedy until you get to the deep water. If you have a kayak, there is a trail to get through the cattails to the open water. If you're up for adventure, this is for you!
