Welcome to our 40-acre property—a beautiful blend of woods and farmland. Whether you're looking to explore nature or just relax, there's something here for everyone. Wander through a mix of forest trails and open space, or enjoy a peaceful stroll through our working fruit and vegetable farm. While our campsite is pet friendly, we do ask that you keep your pets out of the garden areas. Wildlife is abundant—keep an eye out for deer, birds, and more. Our serene pond is a perfect spot to unwind as you listen to frogs and watch turtles and ducks in their natural habitat. Wild apple trees and thimbleberries dot the property and you're welcome to pick from them in season. A nearby trail connects directly to town and larger trail systems, making it easy to explore the area on foot or by bike. We’re just up the road from Hungarian Falls, a beautiful nature preserve with scenic hiking trails, swimming spots, and cascading waterfalls. The historic town of Calumet is only 7 minutes away, home to charming shops, dining, and part of the Keweenaw National Historical Park. Local attractions include: Swedetown Recreation Area – mountain biking and hiking trails Calumet Lions Park – disc golf, horseshoes, and nature trails Calumet Golf Course – only 2 minutes away from us Calumet Township Waterworks Park – volleyball, basketball, picnic areas, and Lake Superior access Heading south, you’ll find more adventures within 30 minutes, including Nara Nature Park, Michigan Tech Trails, Maasto Hiihto Trails, and the Portage Canal. For bigger excursions, Mt. Bohemia is just 40 minutes north, and Copper Harbor—with epic views and even more trails—is a bit further beyond. Although we’re close to several towns and outdoor destinations, our property is peaceful and private. It’s the perfect basecamp for your Keweenaw adventure.Enjoy a quiet stay tucked away in the woods, surrounded by wild apple trees and nature. Your private campsite includes a picnic table, campfire area, potable water jug, trash can and room to spread out to make your stay comfortable. With no other campsites nearby, you’ll have uninterrupted views of nature. Our portapotty is a short walk back up to the driveway and is located across from the garage. Explore our 40-acre property at your own pace. During the season, you’re welcome to pick apples and thimbleberries. We have several walking trails and 2 acres of active farmland that you’re welcome to walk through on a self-guided tour. Please note: our farm is our full-time job, and we stay busy with daily tasks. While we're happy to share the space, we won't be available for guided tours or extended visits. However, our farm stand is open every Tuesday from 3–6 PM if you’d like fresh produce. We’re located in a historic mining town, so you'll find old mine ruins, hoists, and fascinating historic sites nearby. Just a 5-minute drive away is Hungarian Falls, a local favorite for hiking, swimming, and waterfall views. Within 10 minutes, you'll reach multiple recreation and shopping areas in the historic Calumet area. Within 30 minutes of your campsite, you’ll find endless opportunities for outdoor adventure—hiking, biking, paddling, swimming, and sightseeing. Check out the Quincy Mine Hoist tour in Hancock (just 10 minutes away), or head north to Copper Harbor for world-class mountain biking, scenic Lake Superior views, and great local eats. If you're looking to relax, the hot tubs & spa at Mt. Bohemia Ski Resort are only 40 minutes away, just before you reach Copper Harbor.
