I wasn't really sure what to expect from a site among some apple trees on a farm, but this site was fantastic! It provided plenty of space, and, other than traffic on some roads in the area, we never heard anybody at all. Ashley was very gracious, and we were able to get some veggies for dinner from what they produce in the farm. I was, initially a little reluctant about the walk from parking area to site, but it was short, and the path was well maintained. We had no trouble quickly loading and unloading. We would definitely camp here again.
Ashley and her husband are very nice and friendly when you arrive and for your whole stay. We stayed at the Lupine site, it definitely felt very secluded from their house area and from the other campsite. It definitely has a very good outdoor/ camping feel to it. Ashley’s sourdough bread is fantastic, I would highly recommend purchasing a couple loaves. If we ever feel the need to vacation in this area again we will definitely be making reservations here!
We had a great time. The spot was very remote and private. The tent camping area has a slope to it up we managed to find a level enough spot for our large canvas tent. An average size tent would work fine in the space. The sourdough bread is amazing. Its close enough to Calumet to make a quick store run if you need too but far enough away that you really experience just how far from everything else you really are.

Lupine Campsite
Great little camp spot away from the crowds. All spots on the site need some leveling. We had a rooftop tent and regular tent. We parked the Rtt on the side opposite of the fireplace and that seemed the most level. We set up the tent on the platform and it fit perfectly. Very peaceful and private.
My group had a nice time at the Lupine Site.
Between my truck and my pop-up camper, my towing length is about 40 feet. We were able to navigate the site, albeit without a ton of wiggle room. Definitely come equipped with 4x4 to get back up the hill.
My PUC is 30 feet long when open and there were a few suitable spots to put it. All spots require leveling. I strongly recommend choosing the side OPPOSITE to the fire pit / deck for two reasons: 1. You'll be in the shade all day long and 2. The wood pile harbors large numbers of miniscule biting bugs that can and will infiltrate your screens.
The site is placed in a gorgeous meadow of lupine, daisies, milkweed, thimbleberry, and more. Other than the farm, there aren't a lot of places to walk to on the property, but it's centrally located to a lot of what the Keweenah has to offer. We spent most of our time swimming at Schoolcraft Township Park, about 20 minutes away.
I will note the listing indicates that wifi is available-- that wasn't the case for us. If our devices could pick up the network at all, there was always an error message saying that too many devices were already using the network.
The porta-potty is located all the way at the top of the hill, and it's used by the owners and/or workers at the farm, who have their own camp site literally steps away from the toilet. Not the most pleasant bathroom experience.
This is an beautiful working farm and we really enjoyed our time at the Apple Tree site. The site was tucked away, very private, and well kept. It included a picnic table and a welcome tub with information and fire starting essentials. Thimbleberry bushes were abundant, along with fields of wildflowers. At dawn and dusk we enjoyed the ethereal, spiraling song of the Veery, which added to the ambiance. You can't get an experience like this at a crowded campground!
Ashley was an amazing host, and you could tell she cares that you enjoy your experience at their farm. We would definitely go back!
Great little spot. Hosts were helpful and enjoyed a quiet evening.

Ashley's site was great! Quiet and clean, and easy to find with her clear instructions. Highly recommend.
Would highly recommend, beautiful tucked away campground on a beautiful property with beautiful farm. Awesome couple of farmers very friendly and inviting. So much to explore and see around the area. Even with bad winds and some rain in early June we were able to make the best of the trip.

The land is so beautiful, and the lilacs and apple blossoms were in bloom when we arrived, which only added to it. The hosts are so incredibly kind and generous, and we appreciated their hospitality so much!

10/10 would stay here again! It was a gorgeous, spacious site. The location was great (my friends and I were able to explore up to Copper Harbor and down to Houghton with ease), the site itself was very clean and private, and the small touches were so thoughtful (fire making supplies and cooking utensils). Our only regret was not carving out enough time in our plans to explore the farm/trails and get to know the owners!
This campsite worked out perfectly for me! I pulled in at dusk - directions were clear, and the campsite was quiet and private in a beautiful rural setting, yet convenient the next morning when I needed to get to town. Water was provided, as well as a picnic table and trashcan and information about the farm. I would totally stay here again!

Beautiful private camp site. Great hosts. Ashley makes the best sourdough and it’s available for purchase which made for a tasty breakfast on our last day!
We had an amazing time. The camp site was super secluded and so pretty. Raspberry bushes everywhere! So many pretty wildflowers!

The private space was so neatly groomed and tucked away like a secret garden!
Great spot to pitch a tent. Quiet. Simple. Beautiful. The weather was perfect for our stay! Price can't be beat compared to current campground costs with RV noise. Quick drive to local hot spots.
Favorite parts... dad "easy access to Hungarian Falls." Little sis' "there's a sink [running water] next to the porta potty!" Big brother "thimbleberries and trees for a hammock" Mom "wildflowers and simplicity."

Magical setting, tucked away, surrounded by trees. Porta potty was clean. Slight “hike” up a hill to get to potty, but we had no problems with that. It was raining so we didn’t drive our car down in to the camping area, but it was still very close, and not a problem. Toured the farm, everyone was nice.
It served its purpose. As advertised, It was a basic tent camp. it was hard to find a level spot for the tent.. Parking was kind of tight. Location was good and easy to find. A private location was perfect for our two dogs.

I loved tent camping here! It’s a beautiful location tucked away in Calumet. It was well kept and the host left some supplies out for use. The porta-potty was clean and a close walk from the site. Would definitely stay here again!

It is a lovely little campsite. It was so private and the folks left me alone which was great! I like to be left alone and have help when I need it. I ran my battery dead charging my phone and Ashley was super great about helping getting it started. I will definitely be back 😁
Such a great site! Very large and private. Really nice to have a picnic table and a few chairs to use. Wonderful they have a fire pit there. The dark sky was excellent for our Aurora Borealis watching. The trees all around were beautiful at this time of year.

We loved camping at ashleys land the directions where almost clear at the last turn you had to ho left instead of right
A beautiful peace of gras surrounded by trees with a picknicktable and a fire place. She brought us potabke water and there was a toilet.
We loved chatting with Ashley. We would defenitely stay here again.
Very private, well kept, kind/helpful hosts. We’ll be back for sure!
The site was a perfect tent site. It was quiet and neatly mowed. Very clean outhouse also. The grounds were very fun to explore. Would definitely go again.

We had a great time! Hosts Ashley and Jake were very friendly on the couple of occasions we crossed paths. They left us a cooler of water and a container with newspaper and a lighter for the fire. The site also had a picnic table, a fire pit, and a few plastic chairs. The space was very private and well-groomed and there’s plenty of their cute farm to explore! The site has a bit of a slope, but flattens out towards the back so there’s still a comfy spot to put a small - midsize tent.

The tent area was nice and secluded. It was nice and private. There was a fire ring and picnic table. She even gave us a water proof container with matches and newspaper.
