Our property is located between Marquette and Negaunee, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We are 7 miles from downtown Marquette, 8 miles from the shores of beautiful Lake Superior and 53 miles from Pictured Rocks National Park. We are about 4 miles off of US 41 nestled in a quiet forest like setting. We built our home here in 2019 and are continually making improvements to the land. We tap our trees for maple syrup in the spring-you will drive by our "sugar shack" and raise chickens in our very nice coop -no roosters to awaken you! Come and enjoy some peace and quiet at our Northern Oasis! There is guest internet but its patchy in camping area-better closer to the house and large firepit area There is a charcoal grill near communal firepit area. We are near 2 river basins(McClure Basin and Dead River Basin) for fishing, swimming and boating ( kayaks and canoe for rent on this site-see extras! ) We are on the route of the Ore to Shore Mountain Bike epic and not far from the North Country Trail. We have options of open sites and a couple more private wooded sites. There are at least two areas for small campers and several choices for tents and/or hammocks.. There is a communal/central fire pit, picnic table area as well as a larger fire pit with picnic table closer to house. We have nice fire wood available on site -see "extras" or for purchase when you get here! There are yard games, extra chairs and a small table in the red shed. This can also be used as a storm shelter if needed! There is a "port-a-john" on site- extra TP is kept in red shed hanging on nail in a bag. Perfect Marquette area campsite

Such a great place to enjoy the fall colors! The hosts provide everything you could need or want. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spot near Marquette.

We love staying at Northern Oasis. Joy and Brian are very welcoming and helpful. Sites are spacious and clean. Loved the community fire pit area. Close to everything!

Incredible experience!

Wow, what an awesome property! Joy and Brian are great hosts and the thought and care they’ve taken in Northern Oasis is evident. My two nights exceeded my expectations! I was the only one there and it’s so incredibly peaceful I slept better than I may ever have in my truck camper. The porta potty was the cleanest and freshest I’ve seen anywhere too! Pick your spot - they’re all awesome! I’ll certainly be back!

Beautiful spot, amongst tall maple trees, close to Marquette. Plenty of room between camp sites and the best/cutest outhouse we've ever incountered. Joy and Brian were amazing hosts. They'vc put a lot of time and effort into making sure their guests have everything they might need. Brian even put out some cedar shakes to help us start our fire This was our 1st Hip Camp experience and we will definitely come back!

This place is incredible! Secluded in a grove of maples. Level spots for tent, trailer or campervan. Awesome fire ring! Outhouse is the nicest I've ever used (I'm a rural kind of guy, so I've used a lot). But a warning - click on directions tab, don't use address in Google maps. We got misdirected about 15 mins away.

Great landscape for camping well within the woods. Games and restrooms and community fire pits. Owners are awesome as well making sure you have what you need. Was there for the Marji and it was a great quiet quiet respite with great people to chat with.

Staying at Joy and Brian’s camp was fantastic as always! The two maintain an awesome property that best many campgrounds I’ve visited. We’ll continue to visit for as long as they’ll have us, and recommend them to any hipcampers looking for a nice getaway. Thanks for having us :)

This camping spot is so nice and well maintained, you can really tell Joy and Brian put a lot of work and thought into their property. It’s super cozy and clean, and the outhouse they have is the best I’ve ever used. Really great for a relaxing camping experience, highly recommend!

Nice spot. None of the sites are really secluded or private, but it does look like they’re working on additional sites that will set away from the others. The hosts were incredibly nice and helpful. Clean portalet on site. Site is located close to many of Michigan’s UP attractions.

Beautiful, peaceful and tidy place with lots of work done by owners to make a suitable camping area for several. Joy was very kind in pre-messaging and in greeting us. Very clean porta potty, with hand sanitizer provided. Lovely trees.

We had some trouble finding a spot because we were confused on where you could park and where you could camp. Eventually we found one but some more signage or assigned spots could have helped. Also the porta potty was clean but seemed overdue to be emptied. Other than that the campground is nice especially the communal fire pit area. Thank you!

Great location! The campsites are impeccable and beautiful property. It’s like camping in a park as everything is clean and instructions are spot on. Firewood is available at each site and simply pay with Venmo.

Lovely campground, friendly hosts and quiet. Everything was clean and well kept. Just as a reminder toilets are clean but rustic and the only water available is from a hose. There is no cellular access, there is free WIFI but you need to be closer to the main house to access it.

This was a perfect set up in a very beautiful spot. Joy met us when we arrived and explained our options for camping. The grounds are well maintained and easy to navigate. I don’t know if I have ever seen a cleaner, more esthetically pleasing outhouse! There is plenty of room between camping sites, so privacy is not a problem. It was nice to be able to walk the dog around the property after a long day of traveling. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Joy and Brian’s place to other travelers.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. I could see this area being great for a small family reunion or youth retreat with tents scattered around the area and the fire pit I'm the center.

Such a great set up! Hosts have put a lot of time and effort into creating a park-like atmosphere. We came in a little late, left early, and it was raining (lol) but we enjoyed our experience.

Joy and Brian were great! We went up for the UP 200. Brian plowed and prepared our site for our arrival and plowed all weekend during the snow storm. He had wood available at the public fire pit and even offered to start a fire for us . Wonderful location and wonderful hosts! Can’t wait to visit during the summer months!

Great for fall weather! My two friends and I booked a trip up to Marquette to see the fall colors and everything was wonderful! Great hosts! Ended up having the area to ourselves and it was a comforting environment! 12/10 would go back!
