This was an amazing!!! Richard went above and beyond to make out stay great. Camper is really nice. Right on the river. Very quite and relaxing. One of the best things was the kayaks he let us use and dropped us off up stream. Highy recommend!!!!

Hospitality 5 stars. Richard is very courteous and wants to make sure you have everything you need. He went out of the way to make sure we had the kayak trip we were looking for.
River 3-4 stars. For those who don’t know the Little Muskegon, it is very peaceful to float from Deward to the camping spot. Due to low water we had to get out a few times but we didn’t mind. Didn’t see another kayaker! It is a river that has clay bottom in spots so be prepared to get muddy. Richard has water shoes if you need them! River was clear and cool with pools to swim in! Fishing is so so. Smallmouth bass and lots of chubs.
Camper. Had everything we needed for a simple weekend. Fridge, lights, coffee pot, water for drinking. Beds are a little hard but still much better than the ground! Outhouse is 5 stars. It is in a spot that gets a lot of sun in the afternoon which would be perfect for fall days!
We would stay again if we wanted to come back to that area again.

Had a great stay! The pop-up camper is newer, very cozy, and clean. It was the dead of a very hot summer and I was still pretty cool at night. Richard was a kind and very helpful host -immediately took care of everything I needed. Site is in his large backyard, steps from the Little Manistee river. I'm a fly fishermen and got in a few hours of fishing during just a one night stay. Decent hole with Brown Trout and smallmouth right next to the site. Overall great experience.

The directions provided were outstanding, making it quite easy to locate the destination. Richard proved to be an exceptional host, demonstrating a high level of hospitality. The location itself was impressive—immaculately clean, private, and tranquil. The setup was beautifully arranged, complemented by a fantastic fishing spot. The camper was very comfortable and equipped with all the essentials, while the facilities were well-maintained. I highly recommend this experience.

Richard was so flexible and open to letting us stay on his property on such short notice. Everything was set up for us; he even stayed around to show us the land once we got there.
So peaceful, and still felt cool on the hottest days with the fans in the camper, which is also really nice.
The outhouse is well taken care of; just bring some hand sanitizer with you!!
Richard was very kind and super cool and we definitely want to go back to him and explore some more!

Richard was a great host. As a solo camper, I was nervous going out alone but Richard was very kind and gave me plenty of tips for fishing. He left me to do my thing which I appreciated. Even though it was hot, I still managed to get on a ton of fish. Fantastic spot if you are looking to get on some fish. Mosquitoes weren’t a problem!

We wanted a nice quiet weekend for our anniversary and this spot did not disappoint. Other then a couple hipcampers across the river and Richard himself, we had the land to ourselves! Richard also keeps the camper stocked with water, cutlery, coffee, etc. He made sure we had everything we needed throughout the weekend! Oh and he keeps the nicest and cleanest outhouse we’ve ever seen!

Richard and Denise have a beautiful property and were nothing but wonderful hosts to us. We went kayaking, which took a total of about 3 hours when dropped off upriver. We built bonfires each night and sat beside the stream each morning to eat breakfast. No complaints.

Did not stay at this site. Lots and lots of mosquitoes in the woods. River far away
