The cabin was so adorable and it was perfectly warm all night with the little wood stove. Beds were comfortable and I usually have back pain but no issue with the mattresses! The property was beautiful and the host was so kind, he gave is a tour of the cabin and showed us how everything worked, in the morning my dad wanted to see the other cabin and he gave us a mini tour of that one as well. They have a dog on the property but he's super sweet, no barking heard at all. Lovely fall colors and just 15 minutes away from the Muskegon state park off lake Michigan (highly recommend for hikes or picnic). Would come again!

This Lil’ cabin was such a wonderful stay after a day of hiking nearby trails! It had all the creature comforts needed to keep warm, heat up water for cocoa, and the cleanest porta john nearby! The host was very kind and gracious with lit lamps to find the bathroom. We definitely plan to be back in the future!

Ed’s Grand Cabin was just what we needed for a weekend getaway! The wood stove kept the cabin nice and warm as we had some cold weather and even a little bit of snow as the winter season approaches. It was a nice, quiet space to relax, cook, and enjoy a fire inside and outside the cabin. We enjoyed a walk on the well maintained trails around the property! Definitely would return in the future!

Spent the weekend at Ed's with my boyfriend during late October, when the leaves were changing. We were looking for a cozy getaway in the woods, and his cabin/land MORE than delivered. His cabin was stocked with everything (+ some) to keep us entertained, while locking ourselves away from the hustle and bustle of weekly work. Fortunately, we didn't get much cell service here, which gave us the opportunity to be fully disconnected. We filled our days hiking his many trails scattered throughout his beautiful woods, and tending to the outside fire ring and maintaining the fire in the mini wood stove in the cabin. Ed's cabin provided us with the most relaxing weekend and we cannot recommend it enough if you're needing a weekend to slow down, pause, and reflect on your never-ending To-Do list. We will certainly be back in the future! Thank you Ed, for creating such a space like "Dalton Traders Lil' Cabin" for people like us, to enjoy the beautiful luxury of being able to immerse ourselves in the great outdoors.

Ed's property was a welcomed retreat during autumn in Michigan. I stayed with my 7 year old and infant and we were delighted with the Grand Cabin. The play structure on the property (built by Ed!) was a major highlight for my 7 year old. We wish we could have stayed longer!
The cabin has string lights and lanterns for light, wood stove for heat, and plenty of blankets. We were very cozy on a mild Fall night.

The lil cabin was excellent. Nice, clean and quiet. Area was well maintained and it is a perfect little spot. Ed was fantastic! He guided us in and gave us a walkthrough of the cabin.

2 very private yet accommodating campsites in a beautiful open home campground. Facilities were minimal yet luxurious. Outside shower is very well done and bathroom is very nice as it felt and smelt lovely. Owner was very nice. Our 1 and only other tent camper neighbor want too close and never bothered us once. Not a lot of road noise at all. All nature. Also they saved me from staying at the Hostel in South Haven...

What a fantastic place!! I took my 3yr old for a free days at the beach, and stayed here. It couldn’t have been more perfect!! Exactly as described, it’s peaceful, private, with trails and tons of room for kids to adventure and explore. The outdoor firepit was lovely. Ed and his wife were warm and welcoming, with great recommendations for where to go with a munchkin. I can’t wait to schedule another trip out there! We will definitely be back!!

Ed and Pat were super welcoming! Ed gave us a quick run down of everything and encouraged us to head to the beach! We had a ton of privacy but knew they were a phone call away if we needed anything. The cabin was well equipped and you’re close to trails, beaches, nature preserves, and more.
We fell in love with their pup, Cocoa, too.

This little place and the surrounds that Ed and his wife have created really was ideal for my grandson and I for a quick 24 hour experience of wilderness but shelter from the rain in a really cool little place. A real home run.

A wonderful little cabin secluded in the back of Ed's property. There are direct routes to hiking trails and Ed was able to recommend numerous local places to go or eat.
Ed has stocked the cabin extremely well with firewood behind it for use in the included fire pit and camp showers. The cabin itself has an adorable upper loft as well as a gas stove for making coffee.
The cabin also has a wood burning furnace which I imagine makes it extremely cozy in winter.
With all the creature comforts, the fun novelty, and being scant miles from the Lakeshore, staying in Ed's cabin is an absolute steal.

The grand cabin was nicer than I expected, and the hosts have done a lovely job of equipping it so it's comfortable--dry firewood, clean sheets, coffee/tea/salt/sugar, tea kettle, etc. We loved having space to let our dogs be off-leash around the cabin and on the trails throughout the property. The outhouse is clean and the shower is a nice addition. Overall, the cabin and area feels very private and quiet and peaceful.
The hosts were super kind and welcoming--they gave us a quick tour of the cabin when we arrived, but then we didn't see them again. Very responsive and available, but didn't overstay.
The bed, though comfortable, was squeaky. That's my only complaint, and it's a small one!
We'll definitely be back.

We loved it here. Beautiful campsite and cozy cabin. Such a peaceful place. Some games and books available for reading. Wood available for fire. Lots of helpful cooking items available, but bring your own as well, there is not quite enough for all of your needs.

Ed and the site were prepared in advance for our visit. There were a few amenities (playground, zip line, walking trails, and Coco the lab) available to keep the kids busy. The campsite is very close to Muskegon, inland lakes, and the beaches of lake Michigan

Stayed at the grand cabin. Absolutely amazing little spot. Ed was fantastic, he gave us a great rundown of the amenities offered. Really appreciated having a fully stocked cabin that came with everything you'd need for a light camping adventure. Will definitely come back here again.

I loved my stay at the perfectly rustic cabin. Ed and his family were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the outdoor shower, the birds, and simply being in the forest. Can't wait to visit again. Good luck with your second cabin project!

My kids, the dog, and I had a wonderful time tent camping at Ed's place. It is a peaceful shaded spot with ample space to run around and explore the trails. They provide a clean port-a-potty and outdoor shower. A big jug of water was waiting for us at the tent site. The play structure kept the kids busy. I felt safe and welcomed. Highly recommend

Great place, really hospitable welcoming hosts that orient you to the space and give great suggestions. After the check-in, you’ll feel totally private at your spot —even though there are shared areas, this little cabin is tucked away in a way that feels like your own space for sure and hosts never intrude. The windows open and there is ventilation. Thoughtful lighting. Comfortable simple bed. The largest most luxurious glamping ports potty I’ve ever experienced, kept very clean and really feels like a bathroom. Shower is nice in the summer, ambient temperature, so would definitely be colder at different times of year. Dogs can be off leash, which is so nice. Hosts took our interest into consideration and offered the most perfect suggestion of where to go, which ended up being just very special. I would definitely recommend where they told us to go—Duck Lake—if you like to swim or fish or if you have kids or dogs. Duck Lake flows into Lake MI right there and you can literally walk between them in a few min. Really special landscape of so many accessibly close diverse options of shallow water or deep water or vast Great Lakes water or calm small lake water or soft sandy beaches. Really beautiful. Cabin is super cozy and relaxing. Highly recommend this spot. Thanks again .

This was our third time at Ed's but our first in a tent site. We were thrilled with our spot and the amount of space we had. The trails connected nearby making it easy to walk with our dogs and explore the land. This place is our favorite!

I had a great time staying in the Grand Cabin! Ed was super helpful giving us a tour on arrival and had great local recommendations. The cabin was in a great location to go spend a day at one of the nearby state park beaches. We loved coming home to hammock and have a campfire!

Ed was a warm and communicative host. The cabin offered lots of basics. Close to Muskegon State Park for a beautiful beach. Fire pit and camp stove were both well appointed for cooking. Beautiful spot.
