Private spring-fed ponds that are perfect for kayaking, swimming, fishing, hiking, relaxing and exploring. Bonus -- Only 20 minutes from Frankenmuth! We have docks, a small beach, trails, large playset and half size basketball court. Oh, and we have a family of beaver that live in a 5 foot tall lodge that you can spy on as they travel at dusk and dawn looking for that perfect tree to chop down. Shared kayaks, paddle boards, canoe and row boat are included during your stay. We're sorry, but outside such items are NOT permitted in order to minimize the risk of zebra mussel exposure, etc. Life jackets in multiple sizes are on hand as well. But, you are welcome to bring your own. Fishing is allowed if not by the ducks or geese. No additional hunting of any kind is allowed. Electrical outlets are available to charge phones in an outbuilding if needed. We have two porta potties and a hose shower. We have a flock of about 20 friendly pet ducks and geese that travel the property. You may feed them frozen green peas if you would enjoy that but nothing else please. For the safety of our feathered friends and the abundant wildlife we cannot permit pets. We are 30-40 minutes north of Flint, 30-40 min east of Saginaw and 20 minutes from Michigan’s Little Bavaria, Frankenmuth.

A bench, fire ring and trash bin are on your campsite. Awesome wildlife to spot like deer, turkey, mink, beaver, eagles, hawks, cranes, herons, swans, etc and dependent on migration. Great fishing. Kayaks, SUPs available with life jackets available to borrow based on availabilty. We have 2 adult kayaks, 2 youth kayaks and 4 SUPs available. We also have two rowboats available. Sorry, NO outside boats, kayaks etc are allowed to keep invasive aquatic species at bay. Also, No hunting and no pets. We have domestic ducks and geese that grace the waters and other friendly animals who won’t appreciate four legged campers. You may also use our basketball court and large wooden playscape. There are shared docks and shared beaches. Maps will be provided when you check in at the main house.

Deer Field Lake View #2

This is a large grassy field where we see the most deer on the property. It has a good lake view and is suited for someone who wants to visit our property in an RV. Tent camping is better in other locations as this is not shady. The porta potties and main docks are on the other side of the property. There is no hookup here. No golf carts or other vehicles allowed and no hunting. Please see main page for more details on the property.

Great weekend getaway

Hilltop Pond View

I stayed 2 nights at Matt’s campground, and my girlfriend and I had a blast! Matt and his wife were very friendly and communicative so all of our questions were answered. The campsite is very private and the property is stunning and peaceful. We were about a 20 minute drive from downtown Frankenmuth, which made it very easy to walk around and explore during the day. There is also a small market about 5 minutes from the campsite that serves delicious sausages and meats! Would happily stay here again!
