I surprised my husband with our stay at the Cabin Tent. To say he was pleased would be an understatement. The owners were exceptionally accommodating of our late check-in. They gave great directions to the site. We had opted for the bedding upgrade and found the bed made up with extra blankets at the foot of the bed in case we needed them. They had even set up the fire pit for us, so all we had to do was light it after we arrived. Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer. We would definitely stay here again.

Easy check in with very kind owners. The yurt is really well maintained and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the fire pit area and enjoyed the area and overall peace and quiet. Wonderful stay, we’d love to come back!

This was a great experience and we can't wait to come back! We went up on the motorcycle and having everything ready for us like the bed and plenty of wood for a fire and of course the ice cold water was great! It rained on Saturday so we were lazy and napped and read a book and it was so peaceful. Falling asleep to the owls and waking to the trees made this trip one for the books. Robert and his wife were great hosts and the tent is so much bigger than we expected!

Everything was absolutely wonderful! I chose to take a solo trip for the weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday, and I am so grateful that I did! They were very friendly and helpful, check-in was easy and maps were provided for the couple minute drive to site. The international dark sky park is about a half hour away and it was just absolutely stunning, I would highly recommend visiting that on your trip as well. The tent was large and very comfortable, the wood stove and bonfire space were both a lot of fun to use. It was the perfect getaway to the woods, and I will most definitely be back in the future 😄

Such nice and friendly people to deal with!
The cabin is wonderful, pretty much an open-air hotel room (with screens of course). Camping with a comfy bed. I’ve been there twice now and will be back again.

We had a fantastic time in Robert's tent! The whole set up was everything we wanted and exactly as featured - plus more! Trails through Cross Village Beach and the Wilderness State Park were so stunning this time of year (October). I would definitely recommend and we might even come back!

Had a wonderful time. The place was described perfectly. So peaceful and relaxing. We couldn’t think of anything better for the weekend it was just what we needed to unplug and enjoy nature. Will definitely be back.

Would recommend spending some time in their shop! It’s absolutely adorable. The tent is also very comfortable and cozy, best night of sleep EVER!

We rented the Canvas Cabin for a Sister's Weekend. It was so warm, and cozy, and wonderful! Robert and Sherry are awesome hosts! There was firewood stacked waiting for a campfire in the fire pit for us, and the wood stove was loaded in case we were chilly as well. Even with big winds on Saturday night we felt completely safe and secure, sung to sleep by whispering trees and owls and coyote songs. A perfect weekend. I highly recommend Robert and Sherry and their adorable Canvas Cabin.

Robert’s Canvas Cabin on the Acorn Trail was everything you need for a relaxing night in the wilderness.
Robert was super accommodating with our late arrival (10pm!) and even had the fire pit built up with wood ready to be lit when we arrived.
The four post bed was whimsical while having a comfortably soft(but supportive) mattress. There were books available to thumb through (that Robert also sells in his gift shop, Peninsulas) and an entire table of amenities. There was a Coleman propane lantern, a water cooler filled with ice cold water(with drinking glasses), and an assortment of toiletries including bug spray, wipes, pads & tampons and sunscreen!
The Canvas Cabin is secluded down a path, but don’t worry about carrying your stuff, Robert provides an easy to use cart to do the lugging.
Flushable portapotty was clean and easy to use and private on the back deck of the platform where the tent is erected.
Best of all was checking out the gift shop before we left where we met Robert’s wonderful mother, chatted about the area and even got to pet their French Bulldog Chester who was a whirlwind of puppy energy. 11/10 would stay here again!

A very beautiful camp!
I enjoyed the layout and craftsmanship of the place; though I didn’t use the fire pit, it is well suited for cooking and the usual fire-gazing.
A comfortable bed with only screens between me and the woods, what could be better?

Great place and rest and recharge! The host provided all the supplies you would need (except I would have loved some hand sanitizer but I had some along so it was no problem). Very clean on the inside. We did see one mouse when we first arrived but he did not make a second appearance. The bed was so comfortable and the host was very easy to reach!

The canvas cabin was great and an extraordinary experience . Although I did feel uncomfortable while trying to settle in, as there was three people standing, watching me from the street.

Robert picked up our request at 5pm the night of due to some incoming storms that ruined our initial camping plans. The set up was perfect. Very spacious waterproof tent with mosquito netting all around to keep all the critters out. We were surprised by the really cool campfire set up out front with wood available to use. Was a nice private retreat for the night and would definitely camp there again if we are back in the area

We had a great time! The bed and tent were very comfortable. The property felt safe, and secluded, while being only a few minutes from town. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family :) Perfect for anyone wanting a casual camping/glamping experience.

My first glamping experience did not disappoint. The tent is spacious and complete with comfortable seating and a heat source that kept me cozy and warm. The toilet is functional, clean, and right outside the tent on the “back porch”. The best feature inside the tent is the beautiful wood canopy bed. The bed is as comfortable as it is visually striking. The tent and platform are well constructed, private, and charming. The front porch is perfect for wildlife observation and reflection. Steps away from the porch is a great fire pit with seating for multiple people. There are tranquil trails throughout the property to explore. My favorite detail are the lovely woven branch fences lining the trails. There was obviously a lot of attention and care put into this site and tent space. It was the perfect place for a much needed rest and relaxation get away. If you’re looking for RNR time in a remote location, but close to a few quaint attractions, I highly recommend this rental.
