We had a great stay here with our four children in mid-October. Dan was incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived. He met us, showed us around, and then left us to enjoy our privacy, which we really appreciated. He was always responsive to questions and especially helpful with our garbage.
This was easily one of the quietest places we’ve ever stayed. There are neighbors in the vicinity, but they were never bothersome. The property was well maintained, mostly wooded, with paths leading down to the beautiful lake. The water quality at our hookup was also some of the best we’ve ever experienced while camping.
The location worked really well for everything we wanted to do. We were originally looking to stay closer to the White Mountains, but being about an hour away ended up being no problem. We stayed October 12–18, and the fall foliage was absolutely gorgeous! We had expected the leaves to be past peak, but they were at their best. The drives into the White Mountains for leaf peeping were phenomenal. We also visited Santa’s Village and Freeport, so this was a great central location for exploring both the mountains and the coast. Groceries, restaurants, and everything else we needed were conveniently nearby.
The only minor downside was that even our double sewer hose wasn’t long enough to reach the hookup, but fortunately there was a Walmart nearby where we could purchase another extension.
Overall, it was a peaceful, private, and enjoyable stay. We really appreciated Dan’s hospitality and would definitely consider staying here again!
