Escape to a cozy, off-grid oceanfront retreat on beautiful Swan's Island along Maine’s rugged Down East coast. Board the Ferry Boat at Bass Harbor and enjoy a 30 minute ride to the island as it transports you to a simpler time. Take a 3 mile drive across the island while receiving a friendly wave from every local driver. Tucked at the end of a winding woodland access road, this small waterfront camp offers privacy, simplicity, and unforgettable natural beauty. 🏡 The Camp Our snug and inviting camp sits directly on the rocky shoreline, where the tide gently rolls in and out just steps from your door. Though compact, the space sleeps up to 4 guests and is thoughtfully equipped for a relaxing stay. Amenities include: - Solar power with generator backup - Kitchenette with refrigerator, sink, microwave, small cooktop & coffee maker - Propane 4-burner grill - Small propane heater for chilly nights - Cozy sleeping space for four -Compost toilet outhouse with hot-water showers - Canoe and kayak - Hammock overlooking the cove Fall asleep to the soothing rhythm of the ocean and wake to misty mornings as sunlight filters through the trees. 🌅 The Experience Spend your evenings swinging in the hammock as vibrant red and orange sunsets paint the sky over the cove. In the mornings, sip coffee while fog drifts through the woods and seabirds call overhead. Nature surrounds you here: - Bald eagles and seagulls soaring above - Deer frequently making an appearance - The peaceful soundtrack of the tide For the adventurous, take the scenic (and challenging) rocky shoreline walk to Toothacher Beach, where you can search for sea glass and shells along the shore. 🌲 Explore the Island Swan’s Island offers authentic Maine charm and unspoiled beauty: - Hiking trails through wooded paths and beside the ocean - A lighthouse and gift shop (Climb to the top on tour days!) - Maine Lobster and Marine Museum - A freshwater swimming hole at the quarry pond - Multiple quiet beaches to explore - A small island store for essentials If you’re looking to unplug, reconnect with nature, and experience coastal Maine the way it was meant to be — simple, peaceful, and breathtaking — our oceanfront camp is waiting for you. 🌊✨ Let the tide set your schedule.Escape to a cozy, off-grid oceanfront retreat on beautiful Swan's Island along Maine’s rugged Down East coast.
