This site was pretty private and had a clean porta-potty nearby. There was a cute flock of chickens and roosters cruising around who were fun to watch (and early risers! I wore earplugs and didn't have a problem). There was a nice platform we put our screen tent on that was also good for yoga.
We filled up water jugs at Walmart in Lamoine, about 25 minutes away - no water was available on site. This was a nice place to watch the meteor showers and there were lots of conservation areas and little beaches to explore in the area.

When I saw the site and grounds I decided not to stay. The grounds and camp site were a mess. The picture does not represent either accurately. Lauren was standoffish and refused to shake my hand. I am used to difficult conditions since I both backpack in the back country and tent camp. I could not get out of there fast enough. I was prepared to sleep in the bed of my truck if I could not find another place to camp. Fortunately, I found another site for the night. I would not recommend this camp.

The site was perfect, the hosts were very welcoming and offered great recommendations for the area. We had a lovely fire in the evening and the star viewing was fantastic! We would be happy to come back and stay here again for multiple nights, using it as a base to explore the area right outside of Acadia ☺️

We had such a wonderful experience on Lauren and Jason’s land! Very spacious and private with everything you need! We enjoyed staying a bit away from Acadia as it gave us more access to explore the other cute towns and nature preserves that are less crowed! Lauren has so many recommendations to share and was super responsive. Falling asleep under the most amazing sky of stars was a plus, would love to come back someday 🥰

We loved camping on Jason and Lauren’s land! They were eager to give us great local recommendations so we could avoid the buzz of Acadia. We got to see a different side of Maine this week due to their awesome recs.
Jason stopped by several times and we got to chatting! We also got to meet Lauren. It was so nice to have a friendly hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The area was beautiful to wake up to. The hosts are super nice and accommodating. We were warned about porcupines since we brought our dog, but thankfully didn't see any. We would definitely recommend this neat spot!

Our stay was well enjoyed. Jason was friendly and helpful, dropping off a bundle of firewood right at the fire ring. The property was beautiful. Once we got settled in with our vehicle between the house and the fire/our camp setup, it felt as though we were all alone out in that large field, besides the occasional car driving down the dirt road. We experienced an amazing full-moon rise. Unfortunately Lauren wasn't feeling well, so no tarot readings, but we will be back!

Lauren and Jason are awesome hosts. It's a nice peaceful place to relax. The grounds are well kept and Lauren's knowledge of the amenities in the surrounding area is thorough and she shares it freely. Would 100% recommend this place if one is looking for a low key, slightly out of the way campsite with easy access to Acadia National Park.

Lauren was such a warm hostess and was so understanding about us booking at the last minute! Very quiet and private spot with a great location. The mosquitos were out in force, so be prepared for that, but the fireflies were magnificent!

Camping on Jason & Lauren’s farm was such a treat! They were super accommodating and helpful hosts. The property was absolutely gorgeous and an amazing view to wake up to. Definitely would book another stay!

This was a lovely and safe spot close to Acadia and other outdoor fun for a good price. We saw lots of wildlife in the field and enjoyed the sunrise and sunset. Hosts were friendly and kind and we got a tarot card reading which was awesome. Four wheel drive is probably helpful but I got my short bus down the road fine, just drove slow.

Lauren ‘s place was perfect! The farm was quiet and beautiful, hosts were friendly and respectful, and the location was very convenient to the Surry General store, which has excellent lunches and baked goods, plus your necessities. We would definitely recommend!

Great spot to camp out! The hosts are super friendly and accommodating. Place was clean and dogs were able to run off leash which was a bonus. Every night you will be surrounded by lightening bugs and it is such a breathtaking view! Cant wait to come back to this area!
