When I pulled in, this place appeared pretty epic. A motel, a few cabins, and some tenting spots in the woods. Location is great and there’s even a lounge with a table, couches, TV, wifi, and a stove and fridge. However, caught this place on a very wet and windy day. I was supposed to be camping, but the guy who checked me in graciously offered me a newly constructed hut (Hut 2 to be precise) to stay dry. They are tin roofs, so while loud, I was excited to have space to sprawl out and stay dry. I moved all my things in (pillows, clothing, bedding)… all of it. And left to go over to the lounge for a few hours to use wifi. I came back to the hut around 10pm (3 hours later) and discovered both my pillows were soaked through. I found that the tops of the framing were leaking water through them, and down the insides of the cabin. Everything of mine on the far side of the hut was soaking wet. This is a result of the roof not being properly extended over the side. I collected over 32 oz of h20 from one section overnight. I moved into my car and barely slept. I explained the situation and even showed the same person that AM. He was surprised I experienced this, and suggested I should have stayed in the lounge or asked for pillows. A lot of “I wish you had told me”… at 11pm at night? “I guess I’ll add that to my list of things”.. But didn’t offer to do anything for me at that point. I booked a different place for my 2nd night and don’t plan on returning to this place ever again.
