Very nice stay! Tim met us in town to guide us out to the camp, which was a good idea. His directions are spot on, but it is not a straightforward find. But well worth it. We were in a VW van, no problem with the roads. It's a great spot. If you are in that area stay at loon call camp! We heard lions and had very nice private stay. Even though it was a rainy night, the site was not mushy. Tidy and well run. Thank you for the stay, it was a great stop over for us on the way to Baxter.

Loon Call Camp
This spot far exceeded our expectations! Tim and Heidi were incredibly helpful in answering our questions ahead of time, met us at the site when we arrived, and even let us use their charcoal grill since there was a fire ban during the time we were there.
By far our favorite part was the privacy and peacefulness. We stayed there for two nights and other than seeing one boat pass in the distance, we did not see or hear another soul the entire time. Our kids were free to play and explore the land without us worrying about keeping them quiet.
I ABSOLUTELY recommend this spot and we are already planning our trip back for next year!

This spot is everything you could want from Hipcamp!! It’s so private, right on a quiet lake, there’s a porta-potty on site and there’s a bin for trash. We will for sure be back, our kids had the best time! During our 2 night stay our kids were so entertained exploring the woods and the lake, they were never bored. Thank you, Tim, for offering such a great spot for Hipcampers!!

This place was a real gem to stay at. The privacy was incredible, with plenty of real estate to make use of and direct access to water. Was well prepared and stocked. The porta potty was a real bonus as well! The hosts were wonderfully kind and accommodating. We will be back for sure!

Wonderful plot of land with a dreamy dock that juts out into the lake! Spacious and wild, the campsite had everything we needed and more. Great fire pit and responsive hosts!

Loon Call Camp
We loved our stay at the Loon Call Camp!
Tim and his wife met us in town and showed us the route to get there. The camp sits right on the water and the loons literally were right out front the camp. We could hear them in the morning and evening. There was a comorant perched on one of the rocks as well at one point. Fishing was good- we caught a total of 4-5 fish during our stay. The area was super clean and maintained. Our dog loved being able to roam free and play with his ball in the water. There are solar powered string lights right past the fire pit and solar lights in the ground skirting the camp which are all super helpful. Buckets provided for the fire pit to be able to safely extinguish. There are super cute lobster trap benches that you can sit on near the fire or easily be moved to use your own chairs. We put our kayaks in very easily to the water by the dock and drifted around the cove. Town is only about a 15 minute drive in case you forget anything (like an air mattress pump). It was a very quiet and secluded area to camp. We were able to easily fit multiple popup canopies and our camper in the spot.
All in all it was such a good stay and we will be back!

This spot is AMAZING! Lots of space for kids & dogs to play! A nice dock and good for catching small fish, the kids LOVED it! We enjoyed having no neighbors as well considering we are a LOUD family, lol. The hosts were amazing, knowledgeable, and friendly. They even brought us a charcoal grill to use! They also have a fire grill and that was awesome to cook on! Outhouse was clean! Our favorite part was towards the evening you could hear the loons talking to each other. Definitely will be back!
