We’re tucked about 3 miles off Route 26, down a quiet dirt road that leads deep into the woods behind our farm—home to 3 horses, 12 chickens, and flourishing gardens. Enjoy peaceful hiking trails, refreshing swimming spots, and the option to go horseback riding. Your tent will be set up and ready, complete with an air mattress and scenic views of our horse pastures. There’s a stream running right next to the site, adding a soothing soundtrack to your stay. You'll have access to an outhouse, a picnic table, a camp gas stove, a Solo Stove fire pit, and fresh water. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag and food—everything else is ready for your outdoor escape.THIS site is in beautiful western Maine in our back fields amid 60 acres. THIS site is in beautiful western Maine in our back fields amid 60 acres. We have a platform with a NYLON tent on it and a blow up mattress for you. There is a picnic table and a basic camp stove.. It's very private and a short walk to the site through a woods path . Nearby there is swimming , hiking and biking and kayaking.. even horseback riding.. You might even have the horses grazing in the pasture in front of you!

Solo tent excursion!
HACKMATACK FARM
Cathy and Tom were super nice, friendly, and accommodating! The place is a little tricky to find, but Cathy made sure I didn’t get lost haha. Tom helped me bring my stuff to the tent platform with his tractor. Theres a short walk from parking area to platform so make sure to keep that in mind. They made sure I had everything I needed and was very communicative.

A must stay for the area
HACKMATACK FARM
Absolutely beautiful location, the host set up a stove and wash water and a tent with beds all before we even got there. She was super nice and gave us some great locations for hikes and swims. Must stay for anyone who wants a middle ground between glamping and camping with the bonus of horses!

Cathy was such a welcoming host, meeting us with umbrellas in the rain, helping us get settled at the site, letting us explore her garden, and introducing us to her horses. Hackmatack Farm had everything we needed (spacious tent for 2, Adirondack chairs, solo stove, picnic table, and very nice outhouse). We loved our stay and hope to be back soon…thanks again, Cathy!

HACKMATACK FARM
This was a lovely place to spend a few nights. The set up was convenient and the air mattress was comfortable. I wish I had taken a picture of the outhouse...it's the nicest one-holer east of the Northeast Kingdom with thoughtful touches like a wash basin and hand mirror. Cathy is a warm and friendly host and her property is a well kept farm. I will most definitely return when I am mixed in the area.
