Ellie's RV Spot is a single RV site designed for use by any length Class A thru C motorized or towable style recreational vehicles including conversion vans/off grid vehicles. 50 or 30 amp electric, water, sewer and screaming fast wifi are included.  All RV's including off grid and pop-ups must set up on GRAVEL PAD only. This is to prevent damage to the private septic system. Your camper RV, off grid van or pop up MUST have an on board toilet, composting or otherwise, no exceptions. **Tenting is not an option on this site, sorry.** The RV's pictured belong to past guests and are not available for rent.  A sister cabin shares the half acre site and is separated by a 16 foot long 9 foot high fence. This cabin is booked up 95 percent for the season. Ellie's location allows easy access to both the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula section. Well behaved dogs/pets are allowed on the site for $7 per pet per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add a pet fee which is listed as an extra during the booking process. All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions. Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. For winter stays please send a request before booking. We have 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer only from Nov 1 ~ April 30. Water, wifi and trash removal are suspended for the winter. Snow might prevent access during some weeks. Julie and Kevin were helpful, kind, responsive, and accommodating hosts. Their campsite made a great home base for our travel trailer while we spent a few days exploring Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. Would stay here again if we return to the area!

This is a perfect spot too explore Acadia, the owners were perfect and the spot was even better! Enough space for my dog and friends and the owners were extremely kind when we had last minute changes. Would recommend this place if you are planning to see Acadia. 10/10! Thank you for having us!

Suited my needs while visiting Acadia perfectly. Easy access for Sprinter, clean, level, good communication from host, everything as advertised. Road noise not an issue for me. Stayed three nights and added a fourth!

Perfect for Visiting Acadia

This is a great location from which to explore Acadia National Park. Julie ans Kevin were easy to communicate with and gave us recommendations for dining and other things to so in the area. The site is level and easy to access. Their posting clearly states that the site is on a busy road and situated next to their rental cabin. We would have preferred less traffic bu,t neither was an issue. This site is family friendly with a picnic table, fire ring, corn hole game, basketball hoop and ball, as well as space to run around. We would definitely stay again whenin the area.

The site was well laid out with all the services as described. The email communication from Julie with instructions was thorough and timely. Well, the description does state there is some noise from the road. We did not anticipate it being as excessive as it was. We booked the site for two nights, but chose not to return for the second night.

I really appreciate how wonderfully kept this great little spot is. I would go so far as to say immaculate. I read some of the reviews about the location being right on a highway and while that is true, the noise did not really bother me, and I am also very sensitive to noises. I do usually run a small fan inside my RV and any traffic in the background really seemed more like white noise to me and did not impact my stay at all. What I appreciate more is the convenience of this location. I felt like I was coming back to a little retreat from bustling Bar Harbor and even the crowds at Acadia National Park. Both are very close and easy to drive to, but felt somewhat remote getting away from all of the crowds. There are also food and beverage options close by so from a convenience standpoint it was an A+. The directions were great and I was appropriately checked in on by the host And there were people staying in the cabin on site while I was there, but everything felt very private, and we only saw each other one time in the driveway as we were both leaving within minutes of one another.

Lovely spot that easily accommodated our 38 ft motorhome and towed vehicle. Hosts were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. They stayed in touch during our stay with tips for area restaurants and sightseeing.

Fantastic host and site! Super convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia as well as shoppes and restaurants. I can’t say enough good things about Kevin and Julie, they were great with communication and provided any information we needed while we were there. We look forward to staying again! Pack warm for the winter 🥶

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's close to Acadia National Park. Thank you Julie for all the information of hikes and dining places. Sorry we couldn't get you the wooden token. They were closed. Thank you for the firewood and water. We were able to enjoy it one night when the wind quit blowing. We didn't have any problems pulling in or out of the property. If we make it back this way again we would definitely stay here again.

The campsite was not easy to set up at. The sewer hookup was situated in an awkward place from the electrical and water. We had to buy 20 feet of extra hose to make the connection. The spot was right next to a busy highway. From about 6 am until 8 or 8:30 pm, the traffic was very noisy.

It was a nice, full hookup campsite, very close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. There was a nice fire pit area and some yard games provided. I didn’t meet Julie in person but I did text her a few times and she got right back to me. She had lots of suggestions and was very helpful!

We had such an amazing time at this Hipcamp. It gave us the flexibility to see what Acadia had to offer! We felt safe and comfortable at this site. I know people complained about the road in reviews but it was not bad for us, and to get out of the drive safely, we turned right and made a uturn at the fork in the road. They have a rental cabin on the premises which did have renters on the last days of our trip, but they were respectful and the layout of the property made it feel private for us still. We would book this site again if we were to come back to Acadia.

Great Basecamp location to see Acadia National Park, Bangor, fishing villages and other points of interest. Kevin and Julie were great hosts, helped us get in and settled and made sure we hade everything we needed. Sat outside at night by the fire pit and star gazed.

Fantastic spot located near Acadia National Park. 15-30 minutes to Bar Harbor, Acadia, or anywhere else in the area. Has full hookups and great wifi. Everything worked really well and we were super happy to stay here. Would gladly come back. The owners were very helpful. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Ellie's RV spot! Julie and Kevin were gracious hosts who have lived in the area a long time. They had great recommendations and were very helpful. The spot itself had everything we needed and we enjoyed the privacy. We have a 17' travel trailer and had no problem backing in. It is located off a bend in the road, but the noise is minimal and we didn't have any issues pulling out each day. The property is beautiful and overlooks a stunning meadow with birch trees and goldenrod. There is plenty of privacy between the camp site and the Airbnb cabin. We liked being away from the crowds of Mt. Desert with just a short and easy drive to the island, plus the connivence of being near Ellsworth for Walmart, Home Depot, etc! Can't wait to find our way back here!

This is a nice spot. 1 RV and 1 Cabin only. Easy to find. Hosts were very welcoming and provided firewood. It can be a little noisy with the street traffic BUT its a short 30 min drive to Acadia National Park. I preferred the grocery story out of the main city. Take a left out of the site and a left at the light. It will be about 5 mins down on the left. The Park... Its super crowded, do not expect to just drive to one of the sites and park. You will NOT find parking. Instead park at the main entrance and take the free shuttle. I sharked a parking lot for 45 mins and still could not get a spot. Go to BASS Harbor. after you leave the lighthouse, take the right at the stop sign and hike the Ships Harbor Trail on the right. I literally met Jesus. I was so blown away by the beauty I cried. Best meal.. I cant say, the lobster was delious everywhere. But the people were super friendly in Ellisworth. I had some trouble packing up and the hosts were there to lend a hand and calm me, recommended a great RV maintenance shop in Bangor. Harveys. Hopefully you do not have to leave a site and head to a RV Repair place but if you do Harveys is the place. All in All - great place to call home while visiting the National Park.

Overall the site was nice and convenient to Acadia National Park and things to do and places to eat. Unfortunately it is located on a very busy road. Cars were going very fast and it was difficult and dangerous to get out of.

The location is great, off the beaten path but close to shopping, restaurants and Acadia. Everything was as described. The site had everything needed and was well maintained and quiet. We will definitely recommend Ellie's RV spot. We may also come back and try out the Airbnb that is on the site as well.

We spent a week exploring the area and Ellie’s RV Spot was a great jumping off point. The 50 amp is strong and the WiFi for all those reservations, research and streaming is the best ever. The entry is on a curve but the road is lightly traveled, so it wasn’t an issue. Quiet and dark at night. We highly recommend this camping spot.

We really enjoyed our stay at this site. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location was great to access Acadia and Mount Desert Island. This was our first Hip camp experience and we were very happy with it!

Ellie's RV spot, right outside of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, is a fantastic place to stay. The host is responsive and accommodating. The single campsite is wonderful, offering privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Although immediately off the road, traffic noise was at a minimum. Highly recommended for those seeking a convenient and enjoyable camping experience in the area.

This was a great spot to stay while exploring Acadia. It's close to Ellsworth which has lots of places to restock, so laundry, etc. But is also a 30 minute drive to most of the scenic places in Acadia. We had great weather so enjoyed a campfire every night. The wifi worked great. FYI, our trailer is 26' long and we found it easiest to back in at an angle between the picnic table and the fence. That put our connections close to the utilities, good view of the woods, and lots of driveway space in case anyone was staying in the small cabin. We had FHU but they shut down the water after Oct, so be aware if winter camping.

Ellie's RV site is very clean, spacious and an easy jaunt to Mount Desert Island and Acadia. There is a lot of road noise, as it sits close to the highway, but we were tired, so it didn't keep us awake. Julie sent a nice pre-arriv al message and was very quick to respond when I had a question. We'd stay here again if in the area. Thanks, Julie!

We loved camping on Julie’s land. Private space but close to all of the Acadia Park areas. Wi fi was strong if you need it . Never even knew there were people in the cabin . Kevin and Julie greeted us and filled us in on local information. They are great people. Very nice and great to deal with. Great communication. Hope to visit again.

Gorgeous spot and very hind and helpful hosts! It was a little further from Acadia than I thought and there was a lot of road noise. But the land itself was beautiful, comfortable and even had a very productive apple tree right by the campsite! We loved our stay.
